i soar through outer space
leaping from planet to planet
causing mayhem with my best friend through every pace

it's as if the stars aligned for us
when she's there, the world around us changes
i reminded her we are all made from star dust
she teaches me the ways of god and the universe

we understand each other
we are each other's halves
until she broke my heart
and tore me apart

our galaxies split and she floated another way
the twinkles of the stars in me faded
i eventually blew out and decayed

just another lonely star
containing an infinite waging war
