I used to sit on my living room floor pouting. Why is life so unfair?  is what I always said.

Now as a grown lady, I still think, Why is life so unfair?  but this time it is unfair.

My toys don't get taken away, or I get grounded for a week or two. Now, my life gets turned around all upside down. Just from one mistake. One stupid mistake can haunt you for your entire life. Is what my mother said to me as a kid. And now I understand.

I now understand a real punishment.
