I ran to where I heard the screams coming from. My butler, Baxter, wasn't anywhere around and I feared that the vampire on the loose could be him.. Please God, don't let it be him... I love him too much to kill him.
I turn a corner and my white hair gets in my face, I swipe it away with ease. I find a tall man with black hair and wearing what looks like suit clothes. He doesn't have his jacket on, it's been tossed to the side. He stops feasting off the dead corpse of a woman and turns around, his glowing pink eyes meeting my orange ones.

My heart drops. It's Baxter.
Pulling out my gun, denying the tears that want to show, putting aside all my heartbreak and dread, I point it at him and put on a fearless act. But I can't lie... I was terrified...

I let out a shaky laugh, "I guess I should've known it was you... I just didn't want to believe it." I said to him. "All those times you've just suddenly disappeared... Heh... I should've shot you when I suspected you." "But you couldn't? How unprofessional of you." He laughed at me. "You should know better than that. Besides, you should know how vampires work, considering you are one." He smirks and my heart beats faster, knowing this will be the last conversation with Baxter makes me nauseous.

"What do you mean by that, Baxter?" I ask, swallowing the uneasy feeling. I start to feel a bit dizzy and I realize that is his doing! I can't move as fast now, I'm vulnerable to attacks and he knew that damn well! I let out a sigh as my head starts hurting. In a flash, I feel my throat be grabbed and my gun was slapped out of my hand which was now being held by his. "We all knew, Marry!" He raised his voice, breath reeking of a familiar copper.

"Your eyes are a deep orange. That's a red flag for me, means you're fighting back..." He says a bit quieter. "Disobeying your natural instincts.. I can't have that happening." His hand squeezes my neck harder and harder by the second and I feel like I might die. My vampiric instincts start kicking in and I feel my eyes burn as they start to change color. My veins start boiling and my cheeks turn hot. He laughs at my struggle, "Hahaha! Look! You're already starting to change because your life is in danger!" His face moves in closer... "Just give in, Marry, and all of this will go a lot smoother... Or... Would you like me to speed up the process and give you some of this sweet yet so bitter taste lingering in my mouth right now?" He smiles and kisses me so sweetly.

I've always wanted this but not this way! The hot mixture of saliva and blood fills my mouth and I feel my veins start to boil even more as the metallic substance enters my body. I try to scream but I can't. The pain is unbearable. I make a plan in my mind, it's the only way Baxter will be killed. Unfortunately I won't be killed and I will most likely be more dangerous than him... But it's better than joining him and committing mass genocide throughout the world.

"It was a lovely kiss, darling..." I say as my eyes stop burning. "Would you like another?" He asks. "Yes.." I say desperately. He gives another smirk and kisses me. The last kiss... With the last of my humanity, I move away and bite his neck. I drain him of all his power and he's left weak. "wh....WHAT DID YOU DO?!" He shouts and falls to the ground, completely helpless. "What I should've done earlier... I'm killing you." I say and tears fall from my eyes. "I love you, Baxter... I always will." I say and shoot him in the head with my gun. I feel the vampiric powers overtake my body, I willingly let it take over my mind.
