I had a friend.... Once.... We used to be so close and then, one day, she disappeared... And it's all my fault.

I remember our last conversation. We were talking about the broken ones in the world, I had gotten mad and she left...

I regret ever saying such horrible things to her...

"Huh? What do you mean leave "it" alone?" She asked me.
"If it hurts itself enough, it might fix itself." I reply.
"Why do you call them "it" they're humans.... People. Plus what if they don't stop hurting themselves?"
"Then they die."

"...That's it? That's all you think of it?" She raises her voice in annoyance.
I sigh, "Honestly you think you can save everyone in this world don't ya?!"
"Well if I can, I do what I can..."

"Honestly, you're such a pest why don't you just join them already?!"
"W-what?" She gasps in disbelief.

"I mean why don't you just leave, die , perish, vanish, lose your humanity. Whatever you pests call it."

"I don't think I want to hear that from you."
"Huh?! What did you say you little-"
"Honestly. Telling me to die when you're dead inside already." She cuts me off.

"You know.. It's no use thing to save them."
"They're not shattered, they're scratched!"
"Huh? What does that mean?"
"Means there's still time." She starts to turn and walk away.

"Hey! Where are you going?!"
"You did tell me to join them." She shrugs and vanishes into the darkness beyond.

I never saw her again after that but, oh boy, I miss her... So much.
I wish I had never even said anything. I wish I was the one vanishing into the darkness! At least I know how to protect myself and survive on my own, she's fragile!

She wouldn't know how to survive out there in this dark world alone.

I wish I were the one who's missing.

I wish I wasn't even born. Because maybe, just maybe, she wouldn't have left and she would've been safe with... With someone who knows how to be a friend...
