A year passed. Maybe two. Maybe three. It was unknown. The virus. the Z Virus. Didn't just make zombies. It made monsters. It didn't just infect humans. It infected animals. The world was now a wasteland. Half the world dead, yet alive at the same time.
Tyler stood if front of his home, smiling. A large home, with others connected. Tyler smiled, and walked threw the gate. Instantly, a guard greeted him. A female with red hair, covering he right eye slightly. She had different colored eyes filled with life. She wore the usual guard style clothing. And her amulet around her neck. "Hello, Tyler!" She chirped. He smiled and nodded, "Hey. Any news on the bandits?" She stiffened, "Yes s-sir. They are getting closer, and have more people. He found a group not too far away. They're using the Cacklez to there advantage." "How so?" "They're training them, and...and riding them, using them to kill." Tyler stiffened as well. Cacklez as steads? How absurd! The wolf like creatures would kill anything! Tyler hadn't seen the Cacklez often. But he remembered what they looked like slightly. Fur like spikes. They had multiple red eyes. Five? Six? He couldn't remember. They had long necks and big paws. Claws glistening black. Long black tails topped with another head. A snake, as it looked lie. Tyler shuddered, remembering why they were called 'Cacklez'. At night, they would let out a loud laughter type howl. A cackle. He shuddered and nodded slightly, "Interesting, I want a spy group arranged to search, to watch. Alright?" She nodded, quickly running to arrange it. Tyler continued to walk into the spaced in area. High walls surrounding it. He called this place, the 'Castle of Hope'. Though it certainly didn't look like a castle. A simple built huge house type thing. Around ten people lived there. He never thought of the bandits coming. They wanted there food, water, medicine. Their leader, Jordan, demanded everything. He demanded blood to be spilled. Tyler decided to fight back. Attack. He would die if he gave up. Everyone would die. He gritted his teeth together, refusing to give up. Tyler sat down at a table, laying his head down and closing his eyes. Sometimes, on rare occasions, he would thunk of the past. Of Jason. He would see himself and him smiling and playing games. He'd seen them hug. Cuddle. Kiss. A tear trickled down his cheek. He knew the boy was dead. He knew it. Someone sat across from him. He looked up, seeing a hooded person. A black trench coat covered his whole body. Only his mouth was visible. His skin was pale, an unnaturally pale, and his lips almost looked blue. Tyler thought he looked dead! Tyler racked his mind for someone this could be. He, Tyler thought it was male, didn't look like anyone he knew. And everyone here showed their face....and didn't look dead. "U-Um....h-hello?" Tyler said in an unsure manor. The man stayed silent, but pulled out a pen and pad.  He scribbled something down, and passed it to the other. Tyler hesitantly took it. 'You're looking for a man named Jason, correct?' Tyler cocked an eyebrow. How had he knew? Tyler never spoke of him. So how? "I-I...I'm not exactly....I-I'm positive he's dead, how do...you know this?" The man held out his hand for the pad. In which Tyler gave him it. He scribbled below the question, then handed it back. 'He is dead. And like the rest.' Tyler frowned, "I...figured that. But...the dead don't remember..." He trailed off. "How do you know? Who exactly are you?" He handed the pad back. The man scribbled more words down. 'Some do.' Tyler forgot the fact that he didn't answer the question, "What do you mean?" 'What do you think?' "I-I don't know..." 'He wants you. He needs you. The question is: Will you go?' Tyler stayed silent. 'He's a monster. He's no longer the Jason you loved.' "I'll still love him no matter what." 'Do you want to see him?' He nodded quickly. The figure stood, and wrote. He ripped the paper off, and laid it face down in front of Tyler. The boy picked it up and read over it. 'The Promise Day is where you go. The next clue will be found. -5m' He looked up to question what this meant. He, however, was alone.
