The Ender Virus -Enderlox-
I don't know what to even call this XD
Ty's pov
I screamed in pain, falling to my knees as my shirt ripped, pain erupting from my upper back. Skin ripped apart and stretched. Out of the corner of my eyes, I could see the tips of black leathery....wings.
-One and a half Hours Earlier, thirty minutes until the Virus-
"Come on Sky!" I yelled to my friend, "We need to get home!" We were both running home, we were in a dinner...when the news came on. I could still remember it, "Breaking news! A bomb will be dropped in exactly three hours. Most will die apon contact, however some may be mutated into horrific crea-" We left after that. We were running to his house, his was closer and had a cement basement. It would be safer. "I'm coming!" He yelled back, almost tripping. I stopped as I heard a voice, "Mommy! Mommy!" Changing direction, I instantly ran towards the sound. A small girl was crying under a tree. "Where's your mom?" I asked quickly. "I-I don't know! Sh-she told me to w-wait here! She's b-been gone a long time!" Who would abandon a child at I time like this!? "Come with me, I can help you." With a sniffle, she nodded. I picked her up quickly, and ran back on course, Sky now next to me. Sirens filled the air. People were filled in the streets in cars. My friend ran a little faster, fishing his house key out. We were close, I could see the building. Running up the steps, he slammed the door open, locking it quickly. "Get her in the basement, I'm grabbing a few things." I nodded and ran down the cement steps. "Stay down here, okay?" She nodded quickly. Sky ran down the steps, holding a blanket, a few apples, and a large knife. "Just in case." He said. Then wrapped the blanket around the child, who has been shivering since we came down here. "Fifteen minutes." My phone alerted. The child started crying, we both instantly worked to calm her down. "Five minutes." A wail came from outside, somehow I heard it. "Is that another child?!" Sky gasped. I ran up the steps, slamming the door open, then shutting. Sky threw it open, "Ty!" I ignored him and ran out the house. A plane was flying close to the house. I spotted the child, a toddler at the most. Picking him up, I ran back for the house.
"FIVE"
I threw open the door.
"FOUR"
Running threw the house.
"THREE"
I slammed the door open.
"TWO!"
I threw the child into Skys arms.
"ONE!!"
I slammed the door shut, never entering.
A deafening explosion blasted threw the air. The windows, walls, and door blasted apart. A purple mist like cloud filled the air, surrounding me. I screamed as pain filled my entire body. However I was still standing. After a span of thirty seconds, I collapsed. I could feel blood seeping from my shoulder. I expected death to come...but after I think...forty minutes? I slowly dragged myself up, leaning against the wall. The mist cleared away, and I turned around. It was a mess. Glass and wood everywhere, things smashed, half the wall gone. Even from here, I could see that the other houses were the same...I could even see bodies. I coughed, still in pain. Then, opened the door. It was soundless, not alerting anyone. Sky and the children were in the corner, facing it. He had his arms around them, protecting them from anything. I limped in, "S-sky?" I rasped. He looked over his shoulder and instantly got up. "T-Ty!?" I could see his tear stained face, his glasses discarded. "H-hey bb." I joked with a small grin. He hugged me tightly, "Are you alright!?" I hugged back, "Y-yep! Everything hurts, but I'm f-fine." He pulled out of the embrace and starred into my eyes. "Uhhh..." He mumbled. "Wh-what?" He starred at them, "Your....eyes are purple.." I frowned, "I-I don't know how to explain that.." He looked past my body, and cringed, "Oh god..." "W-we need to get these children to a safe place." I pointed out. He nodded.
The four of us walked until we found...people in hazmat suits. "Hello?" I called out. They twisted around. They all, three, raised guns. "Woah!" Sky yelped, shoving the children behind us. "Don't shoot!" I yelled, "W-we have kids!" One lowered the weapon slightly, "You, " He nodded to Sky, "Bring them over here. The other, stay where you are and don't move an inch!" He growled, pointing the gun right at me. I kept my arms raised. Sky hesitantly brought the kids over to them. Two of the five took them, the other two holding the guns at me. "he's one of them." One whispered, glaring at me. One of them? Sky backed up, "They'll be safe, right?" They nodded. "Were you exposed?" He asked him. Sky shook his head. He shoved him out of the way, now all raising there guns. "Shoot him!" He commanded. All at once, they pulled the trigger. Instantly, I couldn't control my body as I leapt to the side and ducked, avoiding them all. "SHOOT HIM!" He screamed. I dodged again. An inhuman growl rising in my throat. "W-we can't hit him!" A smaller man yelled. It was now a stand off. Five guns trained on me, I glared at them. Each had fearful gazes on them. Sky backed away, "J-just don't shoot u, w-we'll leave." I backed up too, and nodded, regaining control. The leader shakily sighed, "J-just get out of here!" We both turned around and ran. Once we couldn't see them, we stopped. "Wh-what was all that about!?" Sky asked shakily. I didn't speak, looking at my hands. He followed my gaze and gasped. Small black scales dotted threw them. "...I-i was hit by th-the blast..." I whispered, turning my hands over to see more. "Y-you'll be fine." He said quickly, I, however, could see that in his eyes....he was uncertain. "L...lets go.." I mumbled, shoving them in my pockets. We walked for hours, passing threw a forest. That's when it happened. The first spark of pain. It was in my upper back, I ignored it. We were both silent. The pain getting more intense. i must have been showing it on my features, because Sky gave me a worried look. I glanced at my hands, both now covered in the shiny scales. The pain got worse, I had to stop. "y-you alright?" I nodded grimly, "Y-yea-" I screamed suddenly, it felt like I was being burned. Sky ran to help, instantly I screamed for him to stop. He backed away, his eyes going wide. My skin ripped open, blood pouring out. I screamed louder. A horrific ripping sound echoed threw the forest. Out of the corner of my eye, a black and purple...thing was visible. Sky shut his eyes, cringing badly. More pain erupted, this time my lower back. The same process happened. Blood was dripping down my back. My back got increasingly heavier, two scaly and leathery things beside me. More things started to hurt badly! Areas around my head, my teeth, and legs/feet! With the feet thing...the bone snapped in a different position. I shut my eyes tightly and screamed very...very loudly. I didn't see what happened next, refusing to open them. The pain slowly died down into a numbing feeling. When I opened them, Sky was starring at me with his mouth open, eyes wide. I couldn't talk at this point. "Y-you'r-re...." He trailed off. I felt my head, jumping at the..unknown feeling. Two large ears, and a set of horns. A black thin abject curled around my leg, it took my a moment to realize it was a tail. A wickedly curved barb on the end. The two things that were on my back, were huge black wings. I looked at my legs and feet. They were now scaled black, shaped similar to a cats, being on the toes. Sharp, curved claws were on both my feet at hands. Half my body was covered in the scales, some going up my neck and stopping at my cheek. I licked my teeth slightly, feeling a pair of sharp canines. Then, stocking my tongue out. It was at east twice as long, black, and forked. Being like...this...I could sense a lot more things. I could detect a deer half a mile away, squirrels in the trees, and....worst of all....Sky's fear.
I slowly stood up, almost falling from the extra weight and the oddly shaped feet. Sky backed up slightly, his fear growing. "S-Sky..?" I asked quietly. he flinched slightly, and didn't say anything. "Sky." I said with more...force? "I-I...." I mumbled. "I wont hurt you." I said after he went silent. "t's still me. I...I-I just look...a little different." My, newly found, ears laid back. His fear slowly dissipated. "T-Ty....d-did the b--bomb do this?" I thought about, then nodded, "The news reporter said that it may change people." He suddenly hugged me tightly -I realized I was now taller then him by a lot-, "At least your alive!" I let out...a low rumble in my throat. I was purring? Yeah, I was purring. He laughed a little and hugged me tighter, I hugged back, smiling and wrapping my tail around his ankle. A snarl separated us. Two...'people' stood there. They're skin dark purple, almost black, taller then normal, but not as tall as me, wide gaping mouths, and wide purple eyes. "Guess I'm not the only one." I hissed, shoving Sky behind me. If they want a fight. Haha...I'll give it to them!
I liked writing dat :3
Dat cliffy doh XD
Also, on a sidenote/Fun fact: I created the weird design thing. I'm not the first one to use the tail spike or foot style or anything! just that particular...order? Style? Idk what to call it XD
For people who don't understand what happened: The bomb was an actual bomb, but it had a radiation like effect. Either mutating people or killing them violently ;3
