Look at all the people passing by me. They are all different shapes, sizes, and ages. They glance at me, and they pass me. Some pick me up, alas, they set me back on my shelf. It is quieter now, unlike the usual hustle and bustle that goes on every morning. Every day I watch new faces and see some old customers pass me. Hours I wait in anticipation for someone to take me home.

On the loudspeakers, a man says that it is nearing closing time.

I sigh, another day goes by, and still I have not been picked! Am I too big and round? As I am losing hope, a woman comes into my aisle.

She has medium length, dirty blonde hair that brushes her shoulders, and blue eyes framed by thin, golden, oval glasses. The woman sports a plain, jet black, V-neck shirt and matching capris. As she rolls her cart down the row, she gets closer and closer to me. She glances at my neighbors, the Charmin family, my family, and then the Brawny family. Stopping her cart in front of the Charmins, she glances at me. Her arms extend to pick me up, and her eyes zip around my label.

The next thing I know, I am on the bottom of her cart, and she is heading to the check out counter. I have never felt so happy in all my life! Inside I am doing my happy dance.

The kind woman places me on the black conveyor belt.

Jess, the cashier, slides me off the belt. She is a nice girl, always straightening up me and the others every night without fail. It is not her job, but she does it anyway. I am going to miss her.

"Excuse me, miss." The woman points at me. "Is this a good brand?"

"Oh, yes, Bounty is a great brand. In fact, I use it," Jess says with her giant, gapped tooth smile.

"Okay, thank you!" The woman nods, her teeth are straight.

Jess flips me, scans my barcode, and hands me over.

The woman stuffs me on the bottom rack and pays. I cannot wait to clean up those messes! I cannot wait to wipe up those spills! I can't wait, and the more I think about it, the happier I feel. I, a Bounty, finally have a new home - a sweet home in Alabama.
