I felt the blackness closing in on me as I walked home. Tears threatened to overflow onto my cheeks. My lip started to bleed from me biting it so hard. I was utterly crushed, not paying attention to the world running about around me. I saw someone I knew. I plastered on a fake smile, and waved. She waved back, not seeing the anguish in my eyes in the blackness of the night that matched my soul. A single tear escaped from my eye, followed by many others. I turned from my friend, and ran. The forest welcomed me... And so did the darkness.
