☆Differences [Part One]☆

                    ☆Differences

[Nothing Historical. So don't imagine history]

It was the time when the world had done immense progress in every field. Vaccinations, technology, production. There was nothing left in which they weren't more civilized.

And this lead to the doom!

The world was divided into two parts. The upper and the lower class.

The upper class lived in civilized areas, equipped with technology ruled by the Shergills. They got each and every necessary comfort which they wanted.

The lower class who lived in a relatively poor area which were actually situated at lower altitude, separating them from the upper class. A few of them were employed by the upperclasd as guards and servants for the work that they would never do by themselves.

Devoid of any source of livelihood, living in dark, doomed and filthy places, a rebellion was raised against the upper class by them. Outnumbering the upper class they thought they would win.Fully laden with modern weapons and ammunitions the victory of the upper class was certain. They suppressed the opposition that rose.

Many expecting mothers, new born babies, maidens had also died in that incident. The lower class suffered a major blow, a set back after this war. Once again the voice that rose was suppressed. One could only supress their voice. But the aspirations and dreams of the oppressed could not be oppressed.

But amongst the wilderness of the obsure grave, there stood a girl looking at the corspes of her parents. Her eyes held a resilient look as if she wasn't affected. A lone tear escaped her eyes which she didn't care to wipe anymore. She was Drishti, one among those lower class civilians who were kept at a hiding during war when the upper class men brutally assaulted and killed the young girls.

"Why didn't you tell me that this was going to happen? Why?" She spoke low and no longer to the corpses. She stood there looking up where the upper class had their residence. "Why did you this? Why love? Why?"

She spoke to herself while reminiscing the view. It was a few months back when she was walking past the market buying some households and other necessities when suddenly everyone screamed "Bow down! He is here! Prince is here!" Before she could understand anything the guards pushed her down in bowing pose. Everyone stood there bowing their heads when a young handsome man wearing a black denim and black jeans wearing half gloves (the ones that don't cover your fingers) walked through the middle of the bowing audience.

Before him the guards came rushing and made everyone bow down with brutal force. This was for the first time she saw him. When she saw him, she fell for him. His eyes, his personality, his everything. But why come the prince was here in such an outcast location where there was struggle for food, clothing and even sometimes water when a drought wrecked havoc. She was stealing glances at him while he did not see her. A small beautiful smile crept on her face.

He took a speaker in his glooved hand and announced "Outcasts, if you continued to rebel this like, the consequences would not be so pleasant. We would have nothing to lose and everything to gain. So it's better you stay quiet and accept your seclusion from us with peace. We won't tolerate this nuisance anymore. If you want battle we would never fail you"

Saying these words he left the place while she had already fallen for him. When she inquired who he was she came to know further that he was Rakshi, the heir of the throne of the upper class which meant he was the prince. His father had died when his uncle tried to poison and dethrone him but later he was hanged for his attempt. His charm never failed to create an impact.

She was usually not allowed to go out as the place wasn't safe. Heinous men stood there waiting for a prey to catch. This was the first time she was out there and the first time she fell in love. She had always kept it a secret. Unaware that they could never be one she kept dreaming of a life with him. Who knew how would destiny change?

And now she stood there looking at the city with swollen eyes asking herself why he did this to her. "I fell for you when I saw you. I love you. Then why love? Why? Did you not know that I am here. I am here, waiting for you. Waiting for you to come and take me with you forever. I had always been dreaming my life with you. Maybe you didn't know that I live with them. Maybe you don't know who I am. There would be lot of girls drooling over you. What would make you THE PRINCE fall for this naive lower class?"

She sat down mourning over the corpses till the guards on flying dashboards were visible coming in that direction. She quickly ran from there and hid herself in a corner of the cliff where she could get the view of what was happening.

The guards were seen examining the corpses and mocking around them till the time the prince was seen coming. Her eyes were caught by the sight of his usual black look. She saw him for the second time and this tume he looked even more handsome. The moment he stood near the guards and his advisor he was footing the corpses, turning them here and there without caring a bit.

"Clear the trash" He ordered his men who used a highly advanced device which sensed the corpses for a moment and changed them into a heap of ashes in the strike of a clock. Her eyes widened at the view she saw. It was something unbelievable and new for her. The lower ones were always kept unaware of what the higher society could do.

"Done prince. Shall we go?" One of the men who was going asked him to which he climbed his 'piece of steel' which began floating with blue light once he was on it. He flew away ordering the men to check the surroundings once.

As the guards began examining the place, panic covered her face when heavy strides were heard in her direction. She closed her mouth and clunched the piece of the oversized blue long kurti which she was wearing.  All she did was praying for her safecome when the steps stopped. The next moment she peeped out only to find the deserted place. To her good luck hey had left the place without any harm.

She ran to her hometown which looked the exact way that America portrays Iran in their movies. The moment she was there she ran upto their mayor's home informing him whatever she had seen.

"Drishti! You shouldn't have gone there. You risked your life. Why?"

"But uncle what about what I saw?"

"They have the technology. They have everything. After this war we don't know if would get the food for next time or no and there they would be busy partying and rejoicing over their victory. We can never be one" He sighed mourning over the portrait of his elder son whom he lost in the war.

"But why uncle why! Why do they celebrate while we mourn?! Why do they fill their appetites while we starve?! Why do they laugh when we cry?! What are the DIFFERENCES between us?! We are all humans!" She ran away to her home where she was left all alone now. "Why love? Why? Why can you never be mine?"

The next morning she was out in the street bargaining with the shopkeeper as the prices were on fire after they lost battle. She had lost her everything. "Plz sir, Can I have it for four bucks?"

"It's five dollars man! Not four bucks!"

"Buy I don't have the money and I am so hungry. I have not eaten anything since past three days when father was out"

"So?"

"I have no one now. Please pity me. Please give it to me for four bucks" she was constantly pleading but he didn't give in. This was the time when the guards came and everyone in the street were running around while the shopkeepers closed the shutters before their supplies were a heap of nothing.

The moment they fired the gun everyone stood still. They were constantly mocking at them reminding of how they were defeated in the war and how pathetic they were. She couldn't take it anymore. She had lost her parents and everything. Before they could any further comment she burst out at them.

"What do you think you are? Who do you think you are? You are shameless creatures! You used to belong among us and now you are slaves of the upper class. Just their guard dogs. I know that you have a position better than us in their socitey. But don't forget that you and they, both originated from us! Your generations are born to lick their feet! And they are too just inhuman shits who don't even have a bit of shame and mind to know how low they have stopped!"

When her words ended everyone of them were looking at them. The lower classer took to their heels and ran away before they faced anything because of her sudden and unexpected outburst. Before she could react with the little energy left in her skinny starved body the guards surrounded her.

"Let us show you how inhuman they are and how faithful dogs we are" The head of this little troop glared at her pulling her hairs while the others handcuffed her.

They all climbed their dashboards while she was running along all the way long which equalized 80 kilometers. The distance was pretty short according to them but she knew as she been running the whole time in between getting the rest of 10 minutes 6 times.

The moment they reached the upper class area she was thrown on a dashboard which flew to the city till she came there. That place was beyond her expectations. People flying on dashboards, flying cars, big tv screens, trees, parks, the small well organized homes which were generally one floored, a few of them being two floored. Everyone wore shiny nice and short clothes with matching accessories totally different from what they wore there but matching in some aspects. The magnificents were fantasizing her. They looked too alluring and fascinating that her eyes never left the sight.

Everyone on the streets was looking at her and silently giggling while many went straight without paying any attention as they took her as a wan and wasted person. She was now being taken to the prince who would tell what to do with her. The voice recordings had already been sent to him via WhatsApp.

As she walked towards the room handcuffed she felt a strange sort of feeling. Something she never experienced before. A new sort of excitement. The doors before her opened and she was kneeled down in front of young handsome man who was not Rakshit.

"Imprison her!" He ordered.

"Why?" She resisted.

"I don't know" He simply shrugged his shoulders and sat back at the chair sitting like a king. "Here no one has the guts to force me anything. Got that?"

"Romi!" A voice came from behind which made her turn. It was him. It was Rakshit dressed in black jeans with a white top and brown jacket along with those same goves. As soon as she looked at him from this much close distance, her heart pounded in her chest and she felt butterflies in her stomach. "Don't you have any other work?" He said and walked towards Romi who got up from his seat immediately and frowned.

"Come on big brother! I was just chilling"

"I have work to do. So you better go out" On his one saying, Romi went out mimicking him. As soon as he turned his eyes met hers and there was a moment of shear slience.

How was it?
