☆Differences [Part Five]☆

Differences

On the side of the so called lower casts the weapon after it's final testing was all set to go. Sunny being the head scientist had been given the charge of the ring. It was only a few days till the attack, the people there were gathering every sort of thing they could used as a weapon. The armory was outdated but the rebellion that rose in the public, the hatred and the unending discontentment in the hearts of the people was enough to shake the upper class to it's very foundation.

In The Palace

After trying a few light hearted attempts to find out the person whom Drishti loved, Rakshit decided to leave the matter and concentrate to make her fall for himself instead. Drishti who was completely obscure that her love was jealous of his own self was trying to convey her feelings to him and Lavanya being out of the way now provided her an opportunity.

One pretty normal evening he gathered enough courage to ask her out for a visit to the restricted area of the royal garden, further deep than she had seen, that beheld the spirit of nature in the sense of the beauty. None was allowed there, making it even a bigger risk for the prince to take a lower class girl to the garden but he managed to take her surreptitiously anyway.

In front of the gate stood both of them admiring the lush greenery, the flora of that area along with the little tinge of fairytale love. Drishti wore a long white floral outfit similar to the one Jennie wore in her 'Solo' (If u haven't seen see in the media box lol)

"What are we doing here Rakshit? I've heard this area is forbidden for others" whispered Drishti, holding his arm as he was opening the gate to that side. "I mean, you're such a mood spoiler. I just wanted to show you around" she chuckled at his immature voice and left his arm. As they were about to enter Rakshit mouthed her to wait and covered her eyes with his hands. "What childishness is this Rakshit? I can't see anything" she tried jerking his hands off but being the stubborn self he was, his hands never budged. "Patience"

He helped her move forward through the place. She could feel the hanging veils gently touch her shoulders as she passed them, trying to touch a few with her hands with every step. A part of them was happy while the other was battling with the differences that existed. Hopeful they stood, despite the criticism they would get, despite the hatred that prevailed, despite every single fear, insecurity and negativity.

"Now open your eyes" he whispered in her ear, removing his hands from her eyes. As her eyes opened and took notice of the water descending gently down the cascade fall she gasped a 'wow' in adoration. The soothing sound of the waterfall, the sound of the wind ruffling by, the leaves swaying with it made the environment much more appealing "Turn around" said Rakshit.

With a smile that never left her face, she turned around and witnessed a typical fairytale place. The trees stood at equal distances, a few veils hanging down holding flowers of varied colors typically white, were among the most beautiful things she'd ever witnessed.

"You like it?" He asked her, looking at her lips that now showed a different level of glee. "Loved it!" She looked back at him who treated her with a smile. "Just like you" these words that accompanied were misunderstood by hum. He thought she meant she loved nature just like he loved it. In his mind he had been planning everything, he jumped to the conclusion that today he would not let go of her till she told him who was the person that she loved.

"Is that a swing?" A swing decorated with flowers beside the fall gained all her attention. "Come" Said Rakshit once he saw the excitement increasing every passing second. Taking her hand in his he took her to the swing and helped her sit.

"What a noble prince I must say!" She chuckled as he continued pushing the swing for her. Time passed like this, he was adoring her and she was busy in enjoying herself. They lost the track of time drowning in the blissful moment.

As darkness devoured the place, the stars came to rescue, lightning up the place also inviting a few white fire flies. The two of them stood away, maintaining a distance from each other not agreeing to start a conversation. It took Drishti fifteen to seventeen minutes to break the ice but Rakshit still had no idea what to talk about.

"So, do you like someone?" The question came as a sudden surprise for Rakshit. Drishti had never come across any talk of him liking a girl but somewhere she had this fear 'what if he liked someone else?' Today there was no going back for both of them. They had made up their minds to finish every confusion and bring to light their feelings.

"Yes" Confessed Rakshit not wanting to lie anymore. Her heartbeat dropped for that instant with his reply. Tears brimmed in her eyes but she held herself together in spite of that. The only word she could say was "Oh"

"And you?" He asked her, trying to read her expressions that said nothing more than disappointment "dosen't matter now" she sighed turning away from him and running away wiping her teard. "Drishti!" He yelled her name and rushed to stop her. In the middle of the forest only was he able to catch her by holding her wrist. She tried covering her face and hide her tears but he forcefully pinned her hands at her back and found her crying. "Go away!" She tried pushing him away but he didn't move. "What happened to you Drishti? Why are you crying?" Outside he was concerned but inside he was dancing for he thought she had a breakup and he could have a chance now. The other moment he felt embarrassed for she was crying and he was moving his hips internally.

He couldn't help but smile that irked Drishti even more. "Shamesless!" She yelled at him, hitting his chest and pushing him away but he only continued smiling about her little heartbreak. All his plans that he thought would be perfect to torture the one she loved flew away. "You're laughing at me" "ok I'm sorry" he still smiled taking her in his arms and caressing her hairs. Letting her tears take the control over her, she let the feeling heartbreak out.

After a few minutes of sobbing in his arms, she pushed him away gently and leaned back, her back coming in contact with the tree. Rakshit sighed stepping closer to her, "Stop there!" Showing him her hand as a signal to stop she froze at her spot, knowing that letting him in would make her vulnerable. As for him, he never stopped.

Only when he reached her, he stopped and wiped her tears. "Who is he?" The inside dancing Rakshit stopped when his anger rose seeing her crying over someone who broke her heart. When she nodded her head in a 'no' he held her shoulders and repeated himself but her reply was still the same. As she saw his anger rising with the grip on her increasing she sighed looking at him, deciding to let it all out for keeping it inside would only cause her much more trouble than she would imagine. "You really want to know?" He nodded his head in a yes and asked "What did he do to you?"

"Betrayed me, or maybe it was just me. He never knew me, never noticed that I existed. I started loving that person but  never thought what if he loved someone else. That just broke my heart. I should've thought that but I was just blinded. I know we can never be one but still had some hope and continued loving him. Don't know what will happen when I'll see him someone else. I guess those two were right. I was just being foolish to think he would ever love me" she sighed.

"Who is he?" He asked lifting her chin to face him. She just smiled, with a tear that slipped down her cheek. "Who broke your heart?"

"I have to go" despite her decision to tell him she couldn't find the courage to stand upto her own decision. "You can't" he blocked her path, caging her between the tree and himself. "I don't want to tell" "and why is that" "I feel embarrassed to. People'll laugh at me, mock at me,- I just don't want that" "You can tell me Drishti, I won't" "You will" "I don't have much patience Drishti, tell me the damn name" she sighed and closed her eyes.

"People call him Rakshit" Finally she was able to tell him leaving him galvanized. "I know you-" she tried to speak while her eyes were still closed when he kissed her making her shocked too. It came all of a sudden but she gave in to the kiss as he circled his arms around her waist and she caressed his hairs.

A few moments after they parted she rested her hands on his shoulders shrinking back into the tree not ready to open her eyes. He was looking at her with full contentment and happiness for his love loved him back. Only when he rethought his plans of doing those 'things' to her love he laughed to himself considering it his stupidity. "Open your eyes Drishti, listen to me"

"No, you'll laugh at me. You like someone else still you kissed me, how disgraceful!" She complained but he chuckled asking her to give him a chance to speak. She opened her eyes and looked at him who smiled at her. Striking his nose with hers, he continued "Do you even know who that girl is?" "An idiot" he laughed for what she did was the same as he did "Do you know her?" She nodded her head in a no removing her hands from his shoulders but he didn't let her. He held her hands close to his heart and smiled "That idiot is you"

"So what?" Looking away from him she took a deep breath to hold her sadness. "Did you listen to me Drishti?" Rakshit asked her again. "Yeah, that's me, so what should I do?" It took her a few minutes to realize what she said. "Wait whatttt!" Her voice echoed louder than he had expected it to. Leaving her hands immediately he closed her ears "Geez, you'll damage my ear drums. How will I handle you after marriage?"

"Rakshit I don't like jokes" holding his collar she shook him harshly, a thing that no one dared to do. But he simply laughed it off explaining how he liked her. When she was convinced with his explanation both of them sat down under the tree shared how they had saw each other.

Drishti was sitting leaning on Rakshit for support who had secured her in his embrace. Both of the laughed at their strange encounters but Rakshit however was guilt bound of her parents death but she ensured that it was his people who killed her parents and not he for it was his responsibility to some extent. She had seen him being generous, being loving, being what a prince should be, she had even witnessed his eyes showing sympathy for the lower class but bound by his family's customs to take care of only his people he never let anyone know.

They laid down beside each other in such a place from where they could have a clearer view of the sky.

"Will they accept us Rakshit?" She looked at him keeping her chin on his chest and putting her arm around his waist. "I'll see that" he sighed holding her back and admiring her for the night.

Keeping aside each and every thought of the evil that would keep them apart both of them had come to the decision to give it a go.

That night they slept in the same position, cuddling into each other, completely unaware of what had happened to the upper kingdom.

It was dawn when Rakshit felt a sudden pain in his stomach as if something had hit him. He opened his eyes screaming in pain when he felt few blows on his back too. "Poor Prince" Rakshit looked up and saw Sunny standing in front of him with a few other people, he was holding Drishti who was continously trying to push him away screaming his name. "Leave her!" He yelled at him but the others locked his hands and held him captive. "Don't worry, I would never hurt my fiancee, now it's over for the so called upper class, and as for you, you'll definitely be imprisoned" he laughed evily before punching him in his face "Take him" The guards took him to the dungeons where he was locked. Sunny slapped Drishti and forcefully locked in her room and increased the security outside her room before going to meet Rakshit.

When he met him he sighed "You could've gotten a better and easier death Rakshit. But, how come I leave you so easily for being so close to my fiancee"
