Holly Molly
"Molly!" I called her.
She turned her back and as soon as she saw me, she came running and hugged me tight.
"Blake! Are you okay? I heard you got into an accident and you—" I stopped her by shushing her and I covered her mouth with my hands.
"I'm okay. I got discharged from the hospital yesterfay. Phew, I thought I was going to lose this little fellow," I said as I raised my left leg.
She punched me on my chest and she glared at me. Tears are starting to build up on her eyes.
"You idiot! You can't drive a motorcycle when you're drunk!" she said angrily.
I really like how she's so pissed about me getting in trouble again. She's so cute whenever she's annoyed. You'll know when she is pissed when you see her forehead furrows or her veins on her neck can be seen due to annoyance.
"Can you walk well?" she asked as she examined my leg.
"Of course woman. It's just a little accident okay?" I said as I messed her hair up.
She pouted at me and at the same time she glares. How cute.
She let me inside her house. Before I went inside, I greeted her grandparents which was sitting on their rocking chair on the veranda.
Molly led me to her room and we played video games together. After awhile, she excused herself to go outside and get some chips.
I scanned her room while waiting. It was still the same as ever. Ever since we were young, her room is always neat and tidy. There are paintings on the walls and pictures of her family.
I saw her mom and dad. She was so devastated when they died on a car accident. That is why she's so worried at me when she knew I got into an accident.
I heard the door shut so I shift my gaze on the door and I saw her holding a bowl of chips.
"I'm going to beat you," she uttered as she cross-sit beside me.
"Not unless I beat you first," I said and I flashed her a smirk that will surely awaken the competitive side of hers.
Darn!
She had defeated me. How unbelievable. I thought I was so good at that game.
"What's the prize?" she asked.
I looked at her and gave her a confused look.
"What prize?" I asked.
"I won! You idiot!" she said and she smacked my back with her hand.
"A kiss?" I asked.
Her smile turned into a frown.
"Kiss? Why would I want a kiss? You're funny Blake! I know you're not interested in giving me a kiss! You must feel disgusted after you do it, I tell you," she said and laughed nervously.
She is feeling uneasiness as she looked at me.
Darn!
I thought this was going to go good but it wasn't what I expected it to be.
I leaned closer to her to give her a kiss but she stood up.
"Oh! Look at the time! It's getting late Blake!" she said as she shaked both of her hands.
"I—uh... I guess I'll get going now. Thanks for the game, I guess?" I said as I scratched the back of my neck.
She led me outside of her house and the way she looks at me, she seemed nervous.
I've always liked her. But I guess, she doesn't feel the same way. I've always acted as her best friend but my feelings for her is more than that.
Loving someone sure is painful.
I walked back at our house and went directly to my room and laid down on my bed.
I buried my face with my arm as soon as I closed my eyes. My heart has been going wild since that scene happened.
Did I just got rejected? I don't know what to call it but it's obvious she managed to make up an excuse to avoid me kissing her!
Darn Blake!
The next day, I received a call from Molly.
"Hey," she said.
"Yeah?" I asked as I yawned because I just got up from bed.
"Did I wake you up?" she asked.
"Nah, it's fine."I answered.
"Can I meet you later at old library of the town?" she asked.
"Why? Are you gonna read again those old books?" I asked and I chuckled.
"Nah, I'm...planning to tell you something," she said in a faint voice.
"Eh? You can tell it to me now, why would you want to go to the library?" I chuckled.
"It is where we first met right? I want to tell something to you before I lose the courage again to tell you this," she said. Her voice was a bit shaky.
"Okay, I'll be there in the afternoon," I said.
"Thank you, Blake." She said as she ended the call.
She's right. That old library on our town is where we first met during our childhood.
I wonder what she would tell me. My heart's been going wild again and I can't make it calm.
When afternoon striked, I got my keys and my things as I went outside the house.
I inserted the key on my motorcycle and ignite the engine and after that, I drove through the old library.
I parked my motorcycle on the side and removed my helmet. I went inside the library and suprisingly, no one is inside—oh! Except for a girl standing near the bookshelf on the left section near the window.
She was wearing a black dress with a few floral designs and black flat shoes.
She's so beautiful even if she's not turning around. Her figure is so gorgeous.
I went closer to her and choked her on the neck softly. It was her ticklish spot so I bet she's going to laugh hard.
But I was disappointed when she just turned her back and didn't even smile a bit nor laugh so I decided to remove my hand.
"Hey," I started.
"About yesterday, I'm sorry for making you feel uneasy about what happened. I just—"I stopped when she held my hand and put it on her face.
"You're saying?" she asked and she smiled.
She's so beautiful whenever she smiles. It's radiating happiness to the people that surrounds her. I'm glad I knew her and became her friend.
"I...I know we've been best of friends for this whole time but, I know you may seem to see me differently after I say this but I hope you won't. I like you for a long time now, Molly." I said as I held her face with both of my hands.
"You—You like me?" she asked.
I nodded.
"Oh Blake," she said.
She smiled and she pointed something on the shelf behind her. I looked at it and my heart began to throb fast.
"W-What?"I stuttered.
I saw a woman hanged on the shelf and she was bleeding so much with her eyes opened and both of her hands were tied in a rope upwards and her stomach had a stake plunged inside of her. It was bloody. I can see the flesh coming outside of her.
It was a huge stake that is almost the size of a medium-sized log. Tears fell down from my face as I gasped for air. I just saw a dead body inside this library.
"You did this?" I asked her as I fell down on my knees.
"Don't you recognize her?" she asked.
I looked at the person who was hanged. She was wearing a bracelet. It was the same as mine.
We both made the bracelets when were still young. It was Molly.
"Who are you?" I moved my gaze to the woman in front of me.
I saw her smirked at me and she caressed my hair and kissed me on my forehead.
"I'm sorry Blake. I guess I can't return your love back. Because I'm not Molly. I'm Holly, Molly's long lost twin."
