All my life I've heard 'be patient, it takes time.' I believe it but impatience is an itch I scratched. As a child I wanted to grow up quick: wearing mom's lipstick and lying about my age. Starting of high school thoughts of drinking and partying hard grew on my mind, feeling ignored I wanted to do something drastic for attention.

Listening to school mates about their experiences made me want to do the same and feel what they feel.

My junior year put me in a reality check when death took one of my best friends, making me reevaluate that you shouldn't be wasted over petty things and drama. Growing up is not a machine I can speed through so easily, life happens and I can't always get what I want in an instant.

Moving by in a blink of an eye, changing and passing, you've showed me there are important things to enjoy everyday.  I can stay content in my life without complaining what I didn't do. Learning and loving myself so I can be happy again.

To love, thank you for showing me more of you for my friends and family so one day I will meet my soulmate.

To death, you are unexpected but everything happens for a reason. Because of you my uncle, grandma, friend and aunt are watching me and by me everyday wherever I go.
