Death.  Such a sweet song.  The lyrics dancing through the air and goes bumps erupted on his skin.  It's finally happening.  He could almost taste death on his tounge. For millions of years he had to suffer through this world.  Had to live  while humans learned to walk this beautiful world and taint it and poison it.  He could remember all the animals and plants that had screamed in agony when humans began to trample all over them because they thought themselves the superior spieces.  The strongest.  The most intelligent.  He was amoung the forest that had been untouched by humans.  Well not until long ago.  They kept coming, tearing and ripping the forest to shreds bit by bit.  Killing everything.  There was so much blood on him.  Cuts peppered his skin, the red liquid running down him like a water fall and pooling on the ground.

Instead of dying from blood loss he felt his flesh knitting itself back together. Again.  For the many times he had tried to take his own life.  All had failed.  He had not been able to die.  To not suffer through the humans stupidity any longer.  But it seems he might have millennias to go before he could see death.  Greet the Friend he had been waiting for since the beginning of time.
