Childhood friend of a killer
So I had this prompt and I realize it may be similar to Friday the 13 but I'm not writing a fanfic on that cause I haven't been able to watch it.
Prompt: a killers childhood friend encounters him after he had turned into a killeru
Prologue:
The pair was unstoppable. The girl, Isla, was smart and pretty, gaining supporters, and Marcus, the guy, planned it all, and despite a large birthmark on his cheek, was one of the popular kids.
The only thing that stopped the duo was a camping trip gone wrong. Marcus was held captive by the camp counselors, who were angry and jealous jocks who liked Isla, and strangled. Isla was on the other side of camp, too far away to do anything.
That was in middle school, 8th grade. Now Isla is a senior in high school, and a counselor at the camp Marcus was killed at.
Modern Day
"Isla!" Bridget waved her best friend over in the large crowd of students. "I can't believe we're going to be counselors at Camp Juniper!" She squealed in excitement.
Isla chuckled at her friend, shaking her head. The pair were totally different, but somehow best friends. Bridget had strawberry blond hair with sky blue eyes, lots of curves, and extremely sporty. Meanwhile, Isla had black hair and gray eyes, and while she did have some curves, they weren't as pronounced, and she spent most of her free time was spent figuring out what happened to her friend. "There's only one reason why I'm going," she started.
"You mean Marcus? But he's been missing since middle school, I think you should let him go." Bridget sighed. "Or maybe you need some coffee." Just as the two were boarding the bus, Isla felt someone grab her shoulder and pull her back. She found herself facing Adrian, who was the football captain.
"You're mine, girlie," he said in a low, threatening voice. Isla glared at him, said nothing, and got on the bus, sitting next to Bridget, who looked at her bestie with a sparkle in her eyes.
"So...what did Adrian tell you?" She asked, a smirk playing at her lips.
Isla shrugged and opened a book on ghosts. "Just another attempt to hit on me."
Timeskip they're at camp
As soon as the buses stopped, the students began filing off the bus, eager to stretch their legs. The campsite was cool, a couple of cabins, a boathouse, a little dock, a lake, a zipline over the lake, and that's just the beginning. Bridget ran off the bus, dragging Isla with her.
"Oh my gosh they have a museum now!" She exclaimed. "This place is famous!" Isla groaned as she planted her feet into the ground, as a park ranger named Zeke stepped forward.
"It's nice to see these new faces here at Camp Juniper," he began. "Now, we have a few guidelines for you to follow. First..." Isla's attention was taken by a rustling in the bushes behind the buses. She stared at the spot, but nothing came out.
Bridget noticed her lack of attention and nudged her shoulder. "Girl, why are you staring at that bush when that park ranger is hot as fire?"
Isla shrugged. She wasn't sure why she looked there anyways. "I'm not sure. I think he's done with his introduction so I'm going to look at the mueseum." She got up and walked in the direction of the museum, Bridget quickly following.
The veranda of the museum was pretty big, with a ping pong table, lounge chairs, and a small table. The entrance had saloon like doors, as if they had stepped into the Wild West. Bridget came in first with an excited look in her eyes, but when she saw what was in the one room of the museum, she froze. Isla looked over Bridget's shoulder. "What?" She asked.
Bridget put a hand on Isla's shoulder. "Do you want to go in after all Isla?" She asked.
Isla nodded and they walked in, around a mahogany box with an airtight glass lid and behind it...the remains of Marcus.
And because I'm cruel I'm making this into a two+ part thing haha I'm so evil >:3
