When Juliet had started university, she was practically elated to have a new sense of freedom. She would move into a new apartment, meet new people, have a grand old time and ace her classes. But, since it was already the beginning of school she had one humongous problem, she didn't have an apartment and didn't know where to find a decent one. So, like any smart adult, she took to craigslist to find that nice two-bedroom apartment close to campus. And best of all, a roommate. However, she never would have expected to find what she had when she came to see the apartment.

The apartment was located on the top floor in the farthest corner of the building, where it seemed like no one would ever venture. Yet, strange enough the door was cracked open and the light of a TV screen almost blinded her as she stepped into the room. Her green eyes struggling to adjust to the darker surroundings from the apartment as the door shut behind her. The TV miraculously shutting off at the same time.

The young woman jumped a bit, anxiously feeling for the lightswitch, yet as she flipped the switch nothing happened. "What the heck?"

Groaning to herself, Juliet reached into her back pocket and pulled out her phone, switching on the flashlight, and shining it around the room. The apartment looked like it had been abandoned for years, dirt and grime painted the walls and floor. Blotches of something dotted the floor while old graffiti stained the walls. This definitely hadn't been the apartment she saw online.

Turning the corner, Juliet was met with the worst sight of them all, a body pressed into the far corner of the room. Their head tilted to the side and their arms on display for anyone to see. Two deep gashes were visible on her skin, yet she looked so pale, a bit greyish... "What the hell... God, please tell me this is just one screwy dream... please."

The head of the brown-haired young woman slowly tilted towards Juliet as a smile came to her features, showing two yellowed, danger teeth that were longer than her other teeth. Her eyes opening to reveal a striking almost inhuman emerald color as she slowly got to her feet. The young woman, likely no older than Juliet - yet definitely less human - taking careful steps forward.

The room began to spin as the strange creature stepped forward, her eyes moving across Juliet's face with something akin to curiosity as she stepped forward to grab her arm. "Oh, so you must be my new roommate, most don't even get this far... usually too scared to look at me. I'm going to like you, Friend," the creature purred as she dug her nails into Juliet's arm. "I always wanted a friend who'd be with me forever!"
