Another Realm
The dazzling moon stood at its highest point in the never-ending sky. The young woman gave a small sigh as she walked. She couldn't fathom why her neighbor had insisted upon her going to some old cottage in the middle of some weird old nature preserve. Not a person in sight. And to make it worse, on All Hallows Eve, of all nights. Oh, right. It was a tradition the old woman could no longer partake in.
Feeling slightly more willing to help the old woman she stomped forward down the cobbled path. Her bright green eyes glaring at the house before hopping off the path and advancing towards the forest just as the woman instructed. It was quite easy to find the old tree stump, which has been specified for the ritual. The girl quickly fishing out the antique music box before she placed it on the "P&E" inscribed on the stumps top, before finally turning the key. A mournful song rising up and reverberating through the trees as the girl found her place at the base of the trunk. Her back to the music box and her eyes on the sky.
However, she would never notice the small little fae who settled near the music box. The little songstress gave a silent giggle and began to sing along to the music playing. The small creature watched as the human's head lolled to the side, sleep easily overcoming her. "What a lightweight!" The fae cried as she flew before the mortal, a grin spreading across her features as she flicked her fingers in front of the larger creature's face. "Won't it be funny when she wakes to see me? She'll flip!"
However, she wasn't waking.
The fae tried all she could think to wake the human. Yet, all the same. The results never changed. The fae's grin skidded off her face as a frown replaced it. The tiny humanoid female ringing her hands as she looked about. "Oh dear," she cried, repeating the two words like a mantra in her fear as she fluttered around the unconscious human. "Lady Agatha's going to kill me... Oh, I only wanted to scare her outta the boundary - and have a little fun with it... but mostly to make her leave!"
The fearful fae gave a sigh and fluttered off back into the woods. Hoping desperately that perhaps someone in the little kingdom could be of some assistance.

The cool air touched her skin, the sound of the song of a pair of songbirds caused the girl to awaken. She silently stared at the sky as she took notice of the time of day. It was morning. Probably early too. "When did I fall asleep?" she mused, stretching her limbs out as she gave a small yawn.
"Oh, about half past ten. You're quite the sleeper y'know," The small humanoid figure of the fae spoke as she appeared in the girl's field of vision. "Sorry-" the creature's words died upon the mortals ears as she simply stared at the fae. It couldn't be possible to be dreaming this. No, it's much too life-like.
"Agraphena!" A masculine voice boomed, causing the fae to shrink back in fear before her mood quickly morphed once more. A pout settled upon her features as a large feline jumped from one of the trees. Its hulking size could easily beat out any large canine. It's burning red eyes locked on one thing. Agraphena glowering back at him from her place near the human girl. "Foolish little fae. Do you know what you've done in the name of your little games?"
Agraphena stomped her feet against the air. "No. Because none of you rude old cat's tell me a thing, Night." Agraphena ranted.
The human raised her hand, effectively silencing the squabbling duo. "Uh, what's going on?"
All eyes turned to the giant cat, Night, who gave a small sigh. "On such a night as last, the veil between the realms of myth collide with the one of humans. Should a human wander through and not leave before daybreak..."
"Oh... Oh!" Agraphena began to panic once more, when the felines bushy black tail swiped her aside.
"Shut up! Mayhap Morrigan will be able to devise a method for returning her." The feline turned on his heels. "Let us go see the Witch." he commanded as the two females followed along.
The human gave a small smile as she walked. All the while thinking that perhaps it wouldn't be too bad to stick around.
