A twenty-five-year-old woman sits on her couch watching a Halloween movie. She throws popcorn at the screen when the main character enters the obviously haunted house.

The doorbell rings, causing the girl to leap out of the comfy spot on the cushion."Idiot." She mumbles about the character under her breath. She pauses the movie and moves towards the front door. 

Grabbing the candy bowl she has placed on the table beside the door, she opens the door with a smile. "TRICK OR TREAT!" The three kids yell once she is visible.

The girl smiles and hands them candy as she examines their costumes. A princess, a dinosaur, and a cop all stand on her front porch. She loves seeing the adorable costumes the kids wear every year.

The kids disperse and run back to their parents at the end of the driveway. She closes the door and smiles on her walk back to her couch. She presses play and her remote and returns to her movie.

The doorbell rings again almost at the same instant she sits down in her spot. She sighs and returns to the door to hand out more candy to the precious kids in her neighborhood.

She opens the door with the bucket of candy in her hands. But she is not met with the eyes of children that she expected. The ringer of the bell is actually an adult this time. She sets the bucket of candy back down on the table and leaps into his arms.

The visitor is none other than her fiance and soon-to-be-husband. With the wedding tomorrow, she has been so excited to see him tonight. They wanted their wedding to be tonight but they couldn't get the venue they wanted so they had to wait until November. 

"Trick or treat babe." She laughs, kissing her as many times as he can.

"You'll get your treat later babe. After all the neighborhood kids are asleep." She smirks as he carries her inside.

He sets her down in the hallways and closes the door behind them. "Ugh!' He groans. "Why do I have to wait?"

"That is the trick part." She smacks his cheek lightly and returns to her movie. Her fiance follows her.

She stands to give another group of kids their candy. This time, an astronaut, a crayon, a witch, and a zombie stand on her porch. She compliments all of their costumes.

The kids sheepishly thank her and run off to the next house. She returns to her movie and fiance.

He places his hand on her lap and squeezes her thigh lightly as they watch.

The doorbell rings again. As she begins to stand, her fiance tries to hold her down. "Please stay. Just skip this one."

She smiles and bends down to kiss him. "I can't deprive a cute kid of their candy!" She skips out of the room towards her front door.

She opens the door to an old friend. The woman smiles at the sight. "The wedding isn't until tomorrow. What are you doing here?"

"Its Halloween." She says. "Trick or treat, bitch." He raises the gun and shoots her in the head. She drops to the ground, dead. The candy bowl drops with her, scattering across her hallway floor.

Her fiance runs to the hallway and finds his bride-to-be dead. He looks up at the murderer still standing in his doorway. He comes face to face with his fiance's maid of honor. "Get out of here." He whispers as he slips her the money he owes her for getting the deed done.
