Altar

The decorations and surrounding are everything the bride and groom could have ever asked for. The wedding looks incredibly expensive yet they were under budget with the entire thing. They are still shocked at how they managed to do that.

It is set to be a lovely spring wedding. The sun is just about to set, creating beautiful colors on the rooftop.

Their guests gather on the beautifully decorated roof and wait anxiously in their seats. They all can not wait to see the bride in her gown.

Normally, brides are nervous before they walk the aisle. Not this one. She is confident and ready to be a wife. She has never felt more ready for anything in her life.

As for her husband-to-be, he is very nervous. He is worried about messing up the speech he prepared. He is worried about any little thing that could go wrong today. He wants everything to be perfect. For her.

He is just as nervous as the first time he went on a date with her. He wants to make sure she is happy, like always.

The soft and simple music begins to play, signalling to the guests that they need to return to their seats.

Two by two, the bridesmaids and groomsmen start walking in and lining up at the front of the chairs.

The priest comes out and asks everyone to stand to wait for the arrival of the bride. All eyes would soon be on her.  The bride only takes three steps out before I was greeted by her brother. He will be standing in for her father today. He died last year in a tragic car accident. He escorts her down the aisle. The guests stare at her in awe, taking pictures of her magnificent dress, waving at her, smiling- one thing was for sure, though: no one made a single sound.

The bride smiles and makes eye contact with as many as she can. The instant she lays her green eyes on her fiance, her smile grows twice its size.

She only begins crying when she sees that he is crying. Tears flow down his face. She has never looked prettier. He is shocked that she would settle for someone like him. He is elated that they have somehow found each other despite their differences.

Finally reaching the end of the aisle, her brother hands her off to her fiance. The pair share an intimate hug before she joins her husband-to-be on stage. "I love you." He mouths as she turns to face him, tears in her eyes.

"You can now be seated" The priest smiles at the eager crowd in front of him. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness this man and woman join together in holy matrimony."

The world slips away and it's just the two of them.

"I, Carly Rae Anderson, take you, Ryan Joeseph Hart, to be my lawfully wedded husband. I vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live." She smiles as she finishes.

He repeats the words and takes her hands in his as the rings are presented. She grabs the ring and slides it on to his finger first, then he does the same on her hand.

"With the power vested in me by the state of Florida, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride." The priest smiles as the groom immediately sweeps his new wife off of her feet. The crowd goes wild for the new couple.

The two stand on the stage, bride in the grooms arms. She holds her bouquet in the air and shouts with excitement. The lucky couple leaves the stage, following the bridesmaids and groomsmen before them.

The bride and groom tumble to the ground seemingly as the groom trips on part of the rug. The bride laughs it off and turns to her husband to see if he was injured in the fall. Her husbands is unresponsive.

She looks around. She wonders if this is some kind of sick joke planned by the groom and his groomsmen. When none of them seem to know what is going on, She turns back to her husband. Instantly, she sees the crimson red color staining his dress shirt.

She grabs onto him and yells for help. Her husband has been shot.

She lays her head down on his chest to listen for a pulse. As she does, she loses her heartbeat.

Two rooftops away, a man shuffles to his feet and packs up his gun. He needs to get out of there quickly if he wants to avoid being caught.
