"Charmeleon! Let's catch that Diglet!" Leaf was in a cave with her newly acquired Charmeleon. She had recently traded a Gloom for it. Charmeleon was rather disobedient, but had a good heart.
"Charmeleon, go after that Diglet!" At this point Charmeleon decided to turn around and give Leaf a hug. "Yowch! You have claws, dummy!" By the time Leaf pried him off the Diglet had run away. "Charmeleon..." She sighed. "What am I going to do with you..."

Later...
"I'm so sorry... Charmeleon. I- I have to give you away... Mom won't let me keep you... I'm sorry" Leaf was holding back tears. But Charmeleon was crying freely. Leaf would never forget the look in his eyes.

Many Years Later...
Leaf looked down the alleyway. The body was right there. A Charizard stood over it. Leaf cautiously walked towards it. The Charizard growled, and turned to face her. Leaf's eyes widened. It can't be. It was the same Charmeleon that she had been forced to give up. Her mom heard that it had hurt her, and that was the end of that. Now Charmeleon had evolved and killed someone. It was horrific. Charizard looked as shocked as Leaf.
"I'm sorry." Said Leaf simply.
