JHK(DARK AU)(Part-1)

Dr. Jung Hoseok had always been the embodiment of sunshine in the hospital. His warm smiles and infectious laughter echoed through the hallways, brightening the days of both staff and patients alike. Yet, behind the cheerful facade, there was a side of him that yearned for something more – a connection that transcended the boundaries of doctor and patient.

Y/n, a patient under Dr. Jung's care, was a source of both joy and frustration for him. Hoseok, over time, found himself drawn to Y/n's resilience and gentle spirit. He began dropping subtle hints, hoping she would catch on to the feelings he struggled to suppress.

Hints turned into lingering touches during check-ups, and meaningful glances in the hallway. Hoseok's heart, usually so full of optimism, was now clouded with the confusion of unrequited affection.

One day, unable to bear the weight of his emotions any longer, Hoseok decided to lay his cards on the table. In a quiet corner of the hospital, he confessed, "Y/n, I can't deny that I've developed feelings for you. Your strength and kindness have touched me in ways I can't put into words."

Y/n, however, looked at Hoseok with surprise and a hint of discomfort. She replied, "Hoseok, you're an amazing person and a caring doctor, but I don't share those romantic feelings. I hope we can continue our doctor-patient relationship without any awkwardness."

Hoseok felt a mix of hurt and anger, his ego wounded. He had taken a risk, laid bare his emotions, and now faced the sting of rejection. As Y/n walked away, he couldn't shake off the feelings of frustration and perceived disrespect.

In the following days, Hoseok found it challenging to maintain the same level of warmth with Y/n. His hurt feelings transformed into a misguided desire for revenge, a way to cope with the bruised ego.

He couldnt bare with the rejection.

Days turned into weeks, and the pain of rejection lingered in Hoseok's heart like a relentless storm. Unable to confront the reality of Y/n's polite but firm rejection, he began distancing himself in a misguided attempt to protect his own feelings.

Hoseok started missing Y/n's appointments intentionally, using his busy schedule as an excuse. He canceled meetings, postponed check-ups, and even went so far as to suggest another doctor within the hospital for Y/n's ongoing care.

Y/n, puzzled by the sudden change in Hoseok's behavior, felt a sense of loss. The once warm and caring doctor had become distant, leaving her to question if she had unintentionally done something to offend him. The confusion added to the emotional turmoil she was already experiencing due to her health issues.

One day, Y/n decided to confront Hoseok about the abrupt change. "Dr. Jung, I've noticed a shift in our interactions. Have I done something to upset you?" she inquired, genuine concern etched across her face.

Hoseok, caught off guard, hesitated before replying, "No, Y/n, it's not you. I just think it would be better for you to have another doctor who can provide more focused attention to your needs."

Y/n, still perplexed, nodded. "If you believe it's for the best, I'll trust your judgment. But, Dr. Jung, you've been more than just a doctor to me. I hope we can at least maintain a professional relationship."

As the days passed, Hoseok's heartache deepened. He struggled with the guilt of distancing himself from someone who had been vulnerable and relied on his care. Yet, the pain of being rejected was a constant reminder, fueling his irrational actions.

Despite his attempts to push Y/n away, fate had other plans. The hospital's scheduling system continued to pair them for routine check-ups, and Y/n's health demanded consistent monitoring.

One day, Y/n found herself in Hoseok's office again, unable to escape the inevitable connection that had once been a source of comfort. The tension in the room was palpable, the unspoken words hanging heavily in the air.

Hoseok, unable to maintain the facade any longer, sighed. "Y/n, I'm sorry for pushing you away. I was hurt, and I let my feelings cloud my judgment. You deserve better, and I hope you can find the care you need."

Y/n, compassionate despite the confusing circumstances, replied, "Dr. Jung, I appreciate your honesty. But please remember, you've been a significant part of my journey, and I would like you to continue being my doctor."

This...This was the moment Hoseok waited for...He will begin with the plan now that he has been waiting to execute for so long......

As the days went by, Y/n began to notice the genuine kindness and compassion that had initially drawn her to him.

Slowly, the icy barrier between them thawed, and Y/n found herself drawn to Hoseok in a way that transcended the doctor-patient relationship. Hoseok, however, had decided to play a dangerous game—a game of emotions that he believed he could control.

As Y/n's feelings for Hoseok grew, she mustered the courage to confess her newfound emotions. One evening, after a routine check-up, she looked into his eyes and said, "Dr. Jung, I've come to realize that my feelings for you have evolved beyond gratitude. I... I think I'm falling for you."

Hoseok, aware of the trap he had set, took a deep breath before responding, "Y/n, I appreciate your honesty, but we must maintain a professional relationship. It's inappropriate for a doctor to engage in romantic entanglements with their patients."

Y/n felt her heart shatter into a million pieces at his rejection. Confusion and hurt clouded her eyes as she whispered, "But... you were the one who changed everything. I thought there was something more between us."

Hoseok maintained a calm exterior, his heart aching at the pain he had inflicted but oozing with obsession which he successfully camouflaged. "I apologize if my actions were misleading, Y/n. It's crucial for both our sakes that we maintain professional boundaries. I suggest we do not continue with your treatment."

As Y/n left the room, the weight of unreciprocated emotions hung heavy in the air. Hoseok, however, couldn't shake the guilt that gnawed at his conscience. He had played a dangerous game, and in the process, he had hurt someone who had already been vulnerable, but he could care less about it at the moment.

The hospital hallways seemed to stretch endlessly as Y/n walked towards the room where her heartbreak unfolded. Dr. Jung Hoseok, the man who had once been the orchestrator of joy in her life, now conducted a symphony of silence, refusing to continue her treatment. Each attempt to catch his gaze proved futile; he remained steadfast in his resolve to avoid her.

Y/n's heart ached with each rejection, the wounds of unrequited feelings deepening with every passing day. The sterile scent of the hospital air only heightened the emptiness she felt. Yet, she continued to come, hoping against hope that one day, he would see her, acknowledge her pain. And all this gave Hoseok the satisfaction he wanted.

One evening, weary and defeated, Y/n found herself in a dimly lit bar, drowning her sorrows in the amber hues of liquid courage. Tired and intoxicated, she stumbled into the night, the city lights blurring into a kaleidoscope of shattered dreams.

In the shadows, Hoseok observed from a distance. As Y/n faltered on her path, he rushed forward, catching her just before the pavement claimed her. In his arms, she sobbed, aching for the acceptance and love she had been denied.

"Hoseok, please," Y/n pleaded, her words a desperate plea. "Don't shut me out. I need you to see me, to accept the love I have for you."

His gaze mixed with love and obsession for Yn, the storm of emotions swirling in his eyes. "Y/n, I never wanted to hurt you. I thought pushing you away was the right thing to do, but I can't bear to see you like this."

She clung to him, her tears staining his shoulder. "Why, Hoseok? Why reject me when all I wanted was to be close to you?"

He sighed, his voice heavy with fake regret. "I was afraid, afraid of my own feelings, of the consequences. But seeing you like this, I realize I can't keep denying what's between us." He smirked internally at his plan going exactly the way he wanted.

Y/n looked up at him, her eyes reflecting a mixture of relief and sadness. "So, what now, Hoseok? Can we find a way to heal, to be together?"

He nodded, a solemn promise in his gaze. Its true that he wont let her go now,- "We'll find a way, Y/n. I can't promise it'll be easy, but I won't let you go again."

As Y/n drifted into unconsciousness, Hoseok gently carried her to his car. In the quiet of his apartment, he settled her into a guest room and when she was tucked in properly he came out and locked the door from outside before he went towards his mini bar in the living room and served himself some fine whiskey.

Hoseok smirked at his plan working out so well, finally Yn was his now.

The harsh morning light seared through her closed eyelids as she woke up in an unfamiliar room. Fear gripped her chest, and head pounded mercilessly. The room seemed to spin as  stumbled towards the door, desperate for escape.

Y/n: (frantically) "What... where am I? Why is the door locked?"

She  banged on the door, my voice filled with desperation, but it remained unyielding.

Y/n: (pleading) "Please, let me out! Somebody, help!"

She moved to the window, hoping for a glimpse of the outside world, but it, too, refused to open.

Y/n: (panicking) "Why is everything locked? What's happening?"

The nausea overwhelmed her, and she doubled over, vomiting into the room.

Y/n: (sobbing) "No, no, this can't be happening. Why won't anyone answer?"

Her cries echoed in the empty room, a cruel reminder of the isolation. With no bathroom in sight, she knew I couldn't hold on any longer.

Y/n: (whispering) "I can't believe this is happening... I'm so scared."

The inevitable occurred, and shame flooded over her.

Y/n: (crying) "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Please, just let me out."

She curled up in a corner, the stench hanging heavy in the air. Hiccups punctuated her sobs, and she felt utterly defeated.

Y/n: (broken) "Why is this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this?"

In the silence that followed, Yn's cries were the only sound, bouncing off the walls and reverberating in the hollow emptiness of the room. Yn was trapped in her own nightmare, disoriented and alone.

In the suffocating darkness of the room, Y/n lay nearly unconscious, the remnants of a long and harrowing day weighing heavily on her weakened frame. The stillness was shattered by the slow creak of the door, a haunting prelude to an ominous presence that slithered into the shadows.

The intruder, their face shrouded by a malevolent smirk, surveyed the disarray of the room with a disturbing satisfaction. Y/n, too exhausted to react, felt the weight of their gaze like an icy touch.

The atmosphere tightened as the stranger masked their identity, a sinister transformation that intensified the unease in the room. A low chuckle echoed, a cruel symphony to accompany the desolation that had befallen Y/n.

Mysterious Figure: (smirking) "Look at you, a pitiful mess. How delightful."

Y/n's voice trembled, a desperate plea escaping her lips as she sought answers in the midst of her vulnerability.

Y/n: (tearfully) "Who are you? What do you want?"

The figure continued their mockery, a cruel dance that heightened the tension in the air. Suddenly, the malevolent glint in their eyes betrayed an impending danger as they spoke, their words laden with an ominous promise.

Hoseok: (mischievously) "Don't worry, Y/n. I'm your hope. Dr. Jung. I'll make everything okay."

The chilling reassurance sent shivers down Y/n's spine. She recognized the wicked game being played, the danger lurking beneath the façade of false comfort. Her cries echoed in the hollow room, pleading for mercy in the face of an unknown terror.

Y/n: (pleading) "Hoseok, please! What's happening? Why are you doing this?"

Yet, her pleas were met with the echoes of cruel laughter and an unsettling revelation.

Hoseok: (mocking) "You look so beautiful, even when you're a mess."

As Hoseok lifted Y/n's frail form, a sinister tenderness enveloped the room. The world spiraled into darkness as consciousness slipped away, leaving behind the haunting echo of Hoseok's words. In that ominous moment, Y/n found herself trapped in the clutches of an enigmatic horror, her hope snuffed out by the chilling promise of a malevolent force that reveled in the beauty of her despair.
