Chapter 11
~I finally updated! Whoop whoop! I'm still asking for beings though, so tell me if you think of something!~
I got up the next morning to my sister blowing an air horn. I fell onto the floor and hit my head on the dresser. She laughed and ran out of the room. Rubbing my head I got dressed and walked out the door. I got half way to the bus stop before realizing I left all of my stuff at home. "Damn it" I muttered under my breath. I found my sister waiting at the door smirking and holding my bag. "Seriously, how did you forget this?" She laughed. I groaned and snatched it from her hand, "thanks sis." She shrugged and headed back in.
"I didn't have time to make you lunch, figure it out for yourself."
I hurried back to the bus stop and made it with out a second to spare. I saw Rin sitting in the very back and made my way over to her.
"Rin, you ride this bus?"
"Today I do, normally I walk, but I figured I'd talk with you."
"Oh, uh, thanks." She shrugged as started looking out the window.
"So um... Do you know what will be next?" I asked cautiously.
"No clue, it's random."
"Oh..." I looked down at my hands, for wanting to talk with me she wasn't doing much talking.
After a long, dead quiet drive, we arrived at school. I waved bye to Rin so I could go get something from the vending machine for breakfast. While there I saw this absolutely beautiful girl with brown wavy hair reaching to her hips. It was early fall, but she already had gloves on, not warming gloves, I'm talking full on snow gloves. She turned around and met my eyes. Her eyes were glassy looking, and so blue I couldn't be sure they weren't contacts. When we met eyes she looked dazed for a moment before gingerly talking my hand, "Nice to meet you, I'm new, do you think you could direct me to my class?" She smiled at me warmly.
"Uh yeah, what class?"
"Uhhhh..." She looked extremely confused.
"Do you have your schedule?" She shook her head yes and pulled it out of her pocket. She had the same first block as I did.
"You can just follow me, we have the same class." She nodded and trailed behind me like a lost puppy.
We reached the class and she immediately sat in the seat in front of me. Rin gave me an odd look and I just shrugged.
The whole class it seemed like I had to explain everything to her. Although I couldn't tell if she was dumb or trying to get my attention. I found out her name was Abigail, and she apparently didn't wear contacts. The entire time she kept her gloves on, but when I asked about it she quickly changed the subject.
~time skip brought to you by my dog~
After school, I found Rin waiting for me by the gate again, but before I could make my way over to her, someone jumped onto my back nearly causing me to trip down the few stairs. I felt two hands cover my eyes. "Guess who?" Abigail chanted into my ear. I laughed and shrugged her off. "Come on I want to show you something." She gripped my arm and half ran toward the student parking lot.
"Wait, do you have your license?" She shook her head no and laughed. She unlocked a blue convertible and gestured to the door. "Come on it'll be fine." I cautiously opened the door and climbed in. "Buckle up!" She cheered.
We had been on the road for about 30 minutes before we reached the beach. I looked in shock. "How fast were we going?!" The nearest beach was about and hour and a half away. She laughed again and threw her gloves into the car and opened my door. I followed her out as she led me down to her beach. She took off her shoes and stood ankles deep in the water. "Come on the water feels great." She chimed. I rolled up my pants and set my shoes in the sand. I joined her in the water.
Suddenly she linked her arms around my back and kissed me passionately. I was shocked at first, then I started feeling light headed and she picked me up bridal style, never letting her lips leave mine.
I woke up to find that she had finally taken her face off of mine, and I couldn't tell where I was, but it felt soft, like sand. Had she dragged me on to the beach? I opened my eyes slowly and found that I was underwater. I tried to scream and an eruption of bubbles came from my mouth. I sat up quickly, and realized my legs had formed together into one shiny scaled purple tail.
I looked over to see Abigail sitting on a rock beside me, a beautiful blue tail shimmering where her legs should have been. "Um, Abigail?"
"Yay! You're up!" She cheered and swam around happily. I looked down to realize I was without a shirt. I looked over to Abigail trying not to raise Andy suspicion. Unfortunately, she was.
