A couple streets down, while walking to the busstop, Lance bumped into an unfamiliar face.

Keith glared, and Lance hesitated before speaking, "Sorry, my obvious good-looking must've drawn us together like magnets-"

"Mhm," Keith cut him off, looking away, but glancing back with curious eyes.

What is it with people staring at me tonight? Am I really that radiant? Lance thought, smirking to himself.

"Are you getting on the next bus?" Keith asked.

Lance nodded, "Are you?"

"Of course." Keith replied.

Lance nodded again, and then put out his hand, "I'm Lance."

Keith pushed his hand aside, but responded anyway, his eyes elsewhere, "Keith Kogane."

Lance nodded, "Nice to meet you, hot stuff."

Keith looked back at Lance, and at first Lance thought he was angry, but then he saw a light blush spread across the boy's cheeks. Keith glanced down habitually at Lance's fingers, and noticed the dripping blood had begun to hault.

"What happened to your fingers?" Keith asked forwardly.

Lance picked at a couple of the bandaids, "Papercuts. Just studying for my maths test tomorrow."

"I'm good at math, maybe I can help you on the bus," Keith offered. Lance hadn't expected a guy like Keith to be generous, but he smiled to himself, I'm getting to him. He laughed internally at his internal joke.

"I'd like that, thanks. I need all the help I can get!" Lance confessed.

The bus rolled up, but the two heard fast footsteps behind them. They whirled around and Shiro--the waiter--was approaching. Keith scowled immediately, glaring daggers at the boy, and looked to Lance without speaking.

"Is this the 14-B bus?" Shiro asked.p the two once he'd caught up.

"Mhm," Lance said, "Wait, I recognize you. . ."

Shiro furrowed his eyebrows, though deep down he wasn't confused. He glanced at Keith, who rolled his eyes in return--Lance didn't notice.
