- One Week Later -

Keith sighed as he sat his tush on a soft as heck couch, elbows leaning down on a table in the center of the living room, a TV poised promptly underneath the ceiling directly in front of him. To his left was the kitchen, where Shiro was making breakfast. Conveniently, to his right was the bathroom, where he would later need to throw up said breakfast because Shiro doesn't know how to cook.

Oh, yeah, and Lance is sitting on his right, too. Keith rolls his eyes, Annoyance.

After a couple minutes of waiting, and a dawning realization that the two will probably have to eat the most burnt food of all time, Lance turns to face Keith on the comfy couch, sitting legs folded, and waiting for Keith's eyes to float to his hands so he could begin communicating in sign language.

Lance didn't bother speaking, even though Keith could read lips, and continued to sign, Would you like to sit with my friends at lunch today?

Keith raised an eyebrow and replied in the same manner, You have friends? That's utterly surprising.

Lance cracked a large smile, More than you. You're always lonely at our breaks at school.

Keith looked down, That's kind of my thing. I like being alone.

Lance gave him a look that in itself was asking why, but Keith brushed it off by turning away and waiting as he was before for food.

Keith had slept at Shiro's house. Since Shiro is his boyfriend, after all, and he was too tired to venture back home. Lance, however, had been invited over that morning. Keith kind of hated Lance, but kind of liked him at the same time. He was just... different, one in his own, at least compared to everyone else Keith had met. So, he could handle him, when necessary.

Shiro had finally emerged from the messy kitchen, carrying three plates of burned pancakes and too much syrup strung about them. Keith stifled a chuckle, and immediately dug his fork in because he loved and appreciated them anyway.
