Ch. 16 - Realisation 👀👀
Okay sorry for so late n no bakbak today only chapter let's enter into the world of Annika once again........ BIG REMINDER – it is a filler update but still important to get to know Annika's view.......
The next morning I wake up alone, I hear the sound of movement downstairs, so I get up n head towards the kitchen. Dad stands at the stove cooking.
"Are u cooking for me," I ask
"Good morning," he says instead of answering
"Morning, when u get in."
"At 1 this morning."
I set down on one of the stools in front of the island.
"Daddy"
"Hmm"
"If I ever make a wrong choice would u b mad at me?"
"No, maybe disappointed on u but never mad."
"umm.... Say that I.. slept with this guy for all the wrong reasons, not once but.... Twice." I spoke biting my nails in nervousness
He turns looking at me.
"Did u wanted too?" he asks
"At that time I did."
"And now, u r regretting it, is it?" he ask raising his brows
"Not so much as regretting it, but I think I should have waited."
He smiles
"This guy doesn't happen to be the guy u babysit for." He asked pressing his lips trying to stop smiling
"Yeah" I bite my lips
"Do u like him" he once again questioned with a smile playing on his lips.
"Kind of"
"Annika"
"Ok he has got a girlfriend daddy, n I don't........ it's...... it's just...." I stutter as I don't know what to say further
"What" he asks putting a plate on the table
"He doesn't want to b more than friends."
"And u do"
"I'm not sure what I want; I know I don't want to get hurt bas." A lone tear escaped my eyes
"R u afraid he'll hurt u.?"
"Emotionally, yes."
He nods
"Does he knows how u feel?"
"I think so." I let out a breath then looked away "It was supposed to be a one- time thing."
"Ohhh...Annika" Dad scolded me
"I know I shouldn't have agreed to it, but.... I did. I'm sorry dad."
"What does he say."
"He tells me that we should try to stay away from each other. Because he doesn't want to get emotionally involved with me."
"Is that what he told u"
"The first half yes." I sadly nodded
"It sounds to me like this guy likes u."
"I don't know about that."
He leans over the table
"That's what I would say to a girl that I liked if I didn't want to hurt her or her feelings." Said dad with a playful smile on his lips
I was red. So I decided to change the topic now.
"U going to b home today." I ask him
"No, duty calls." he said straightening him n getting up from the breakfast table
He gives me a smile.
I lean up kissing his cheek
"Love u daddy."
Love u too princess."
After that I completed my breakfast then I head up to my room to get ready for the day and dad leaves for work after winding up the kitchen.
I didn't even look at Shivaay this morning when I get to school. I came in n went straight to my locker then to my first class. I set in there and listened to Ms. Vinayak lecture about some new author that she just happened to come across. It was days like this one when I wish I didn't have to be in school, but then again I'm happy to b here at the same time. After my second class, I head to the lunch room, Gauri following behind me.
I set at my usual table after getting my food.
"U ok Ani." Gauri ask
"Yeah, just a lot on my mind."
"U r not still thing about the other night, r u.?"
"No, I slept with him again."
"U mean last night." Gauri asked shockingly
"Yeah" I replied still digging my food with fork
"I thought u both decided that it will b a one-time thing then....."
"We did,.... It all happened so fast last night we didn't got to understand anything. Daksh showed up...."
"Daksh... Daksh was there what he I mean how n why n y didn't u told me earlier." Gauri was angry n full of rage while talking about Daksh
"He tried to.. rape me." I said leaving the spoon of my hand n putting the hand on my face thinking about the night which was worse than the nightmare for me n I found my eyes once again moist n on verge of flow.
"Oh god Ani. U.. u okay na please tell me she hold my hand n asked
"Then......" I bite my lip to stop my sobs "He showed up, they fought. Then he came upstairs."
" 'He' the guy u babysit for." Gauri asked
"Yeah"
"Y don't u just call him by his name."
"A promise is a promise, Gauri"
"Alright, so what happened."
"He took me to the bathroom to clean up n doctor me, n he started kissing me to heal my pain, and one things leads to another."
"Wow" she smiles
"I don't know what's happening to me Gauri." I tell her
"Maybe u r falling in love Ani....." She said just dreaming
"Oh God no, anything but that" I exclaimed
She laughs at me
"So" she ask
"So"
"What r u planning to do about this."
"Stay away from him the best I can."
"Good luck."
We set for a while quiet; I eat my fries n rice.
"So I was thinking," Gauri starts
"Oh my God, the school is going to burn down" I joked
She shoved my shoulders as we both laugh.
"Anyways I'm thinking I'm going to the dance."
"Oh, u going to leave me to hang out with myself" I pretend to pout
"No I want u to come with me," she says "Now listen before u dismiss it. When r we going to have another senior dance."
"Alright we'll go to the dance." I tell her giving in
She jumps to her feet coming across the table to hug me, with a big smile on her face.
"Yay, thank u, thank u, thank u so much," She jumps for joy
I sat frozen to the seat
"And u call me weird" I say when she releases me
She looks around us at the people who r staring at us.
"What, we r going to the dance." She tells them
I cant help but laugh as I pull her down into the seat beside me. My eyes drift to where Shivaay sitting; Tia sits beside him laughing at something, n as if he feels me looking at him he turn his face, his eyes meet mine. I watch as he licks his lip, those lips that have been on my body. Chi chup Annika kya soch rahi h tu u have to avoid him yes avoid him. I feel a tingle as he winks at me, I bite my lip to stop my luchi tuchi smile.
"Ani.. Annika" Gauri calls me
I turn my head to look at her
"Yeah"
"Are u checking out Shivaay Singh Oberoi again" she smiles
"No" I glance over there at him then look back at her
"Oh my god Ani, u so was checking him out" She leans into me "U slut."
I smile pushing her shoulder, the bell rang
"Let's get to class" I tell Gauri standing
My other classes went by fairly quickly. I head home after when thee I head up to my room. Taking my shower then getting ready for Gunjan.
I have just sat down when the knock comes, I smile to myself getting up to answer the door.
"One of these days it won't b me when u answer that door, then what u r going to do" Shivaay says as I answer the door.
I smile as Gunjan runs past me toward the stairs
"I did that one night remember" I tell Shivaay
"Yeah, n look what happened"
"It wasn't all bad was it."
"Which part, the part where u got the shit beat out of u or the part where u got the shit fucked out of u" he asked with a mischief smile
"I'll see u later tonight" I had to change the subject
His smile widens
"U mean later because u can't get enough of this dick."
I look away smiling
"U know what, u just go....... I'll see u later tonight as in when u come get in ur child."
"Ahhh..... come on Ani, can't u take a little joke."
"So last night was a joke to u now" I ask
"Lighten up sweet cakes."
"I think u should go while u r still standing
He raises an eyebrow
"Bye Gunju" he calls looking behind me
"bye daddy" Gunjan says behind me
Shivaay's eye r on mine
"Love u" he tells her
"Ove u too"
I watch as he leaves then turn to Gunjan.
"What u want to do sweetie."
"Can we go out to eat?" she asked
I smile
"We can."
I grab my things and head toward the mall; I figured if we were going out then we might as well go shopping. Before we shop, though, we stop at one of the food courts there. We find a table in the middle of the court after we order our food. I watch Gunjan's eyes wander around at the stores that surround us.
"U want a toy" I ask her
"Can I have one."
I smile
"We'll do some shopping after we r done eating."
"Ani" I look up to see Tia standing in front of us
"Hey Tia r u lost." I ask her
"Funny, I don't see u around here that much."
"Well I just needed to get out."
She looks over at Gunjan
"Cute, She urs."
"A friend of mine, I babysit."
"I see"
"I see Shivaay's not with u" I asked curious look out, inside joke.
"What's that supposed to mean" she react as caught off guard
"It's just every time I see u at school I see him."
"He is at work, u shouldn't b worrying about him anyways. He is my boyfriend, not urs.'
I smile
"Tia" I hear
I look overseeing Robin Henry, a guy we go to school with standing at one of the shops.
"I see" I tell her
"He is just giving me a ride."
"A hard ride," I ask
"What"
"See u at school" I tell her
"Watever" She goes to Robin
I watch as he leans down kissing her lips, yup he's giving her ride alright a long hard ride.
"Can we go soping now" Gunju ask
I give her a smile
"Yes"
I took her to the toy store then to some of the clothing store's we shop for over an hour then head home. I take gunju upstairs when we get in giving her a bath nd having dinner then tucking her into a bed. I pull on a tank top n kick off my jeans. I'm just sitting on the couch when the knock comes.
