A girl was sitting in a dark room crying. She was helpless, she couldn't get out of that place nor could she call anyone for help. She was just a kid of age 10 that time who was brutally beaten up and kidnapped.

Though she was rescued later, she had the fear of darkness constantly haunting her. She couldn't get over that fear even after fifteen years of that incident.

The girl, Anika Singh Raizada is the only princess of Raizada Empire.

Anika Singh Raizada ~

A very hardworking girl who is very independent in nature. Her parents died when she was young and from then she lived with her grandparents. But when she was eighteen years old they died in an accident.

She was bubbly chirpy active until her parents died, and when her grandparents died she completely lost herself. She was no more the same Anika. She transformed herself to be rude, arrogant, ruthless, typical ~ The ASR Mode

One fine night in a business party,

Anika was walking busy looking into her phone while the guy was busy talking with his friend. Soon a collision occurred between the guy and Anika, she was almost to fall when the guy caught hold of her.

They were lost into each other. Anika realized what was happening to her and soon composed herself. Seeing her broken phone on the ground, she almost hollered, "What the hell! Can't you see and walk Mr!?"
The guy managed to say,"Shivaay" and soon couldn't respond to any other questions of hers as he was completely lost into her.

Maybe she was talking according to Shivaay but actually she was scolding him badly. He didn't mind anything as he never even tried listening to her. He kept looking into her eyes which were a way attractive.

She soon left but Shivaay didn't realise that until his friend woke him up from his dreamland.
"Shivaay what's wrong with you man!? Why didn't you tell her anything?" His friend asked him when Shivaay wondered saying,"I don't know yaar"

Scene freezes.

Little later, Shivaay was with his dad, Tej when he saw Anika coming towards them.
"Hello uncle. Our deal is finalized so we can just sign it off right away" she said smiling at him.
"Sure beta. By the way this is my son Shivaay Singh Oberoi, one of the best psychiatrists in India" Tej introduced his son to her when she greeted him, "Hi Mr.Oberoi, Anika Singh Raizada" forwarding her hand. He greeted back and formally shook hands with her.

They finish off their deal and Tej noticed his son all the while standing beside him. 
"Shivaay, I think you are very much interested in business now? Or is it someone else?!" Tej asked laughing at him when Shivaay was highly embarrassed, "Aap bhi na papa!Nothing like that!"
"Continue continue" Tej teased and left.

It was a quite a long time since the party was over. Though Shivaay and Anika didn't meet all the while, he couldn't take her out of his thoughts. While Anika was lost in her thoughts, "Why did I react so much that day? Why was I lost into him! Why can't I forget his khanje aanke!? What's wrong with me? Did he affect me? No way! This cannot happen. No one will stay with me if I'm close to them"

One fine morning, Tej visited Anika's office. After greeting each other, Tej said, "beta, I want a favour from you! I want you to guide my son in business"
"Uncle but me?" Anika asked back very much surprised.
"You are the perfect person for this. Being a gold medalist in MBA, you perfectly deal with business. I'm going on a foreign trip for a few days, so I hope you don't have a problem" he said when she said back, "not at all uncle"

Scene freezes.

A/N ~ Anika is a girl who has lot of respect towards elders. She cannot be rude to them and moreover Tej was her father's best friend.

The next day, Shivaay joined Anika's office and was soon led to his seat in the office. He was very new to business, brand new as by profession he was a doctor. Just then a clerk in the office approached him.
"Sir, ma'am is calling you to her cabin" the clerk said when Shivaay nodded back in response.

He goes to her cabin to see Anika busy working on her laptop.
"Mr.Oberoi, reason?!" Anika demanded an answer without even looking up.
"but Anika?" Shivaay asked back bewildered by he question.
"Ma'am! I think we should be professional Mr.Oberoi" She said looking at him when he apologized, "Sorry ma'am, I..."
"Be on time Mr.Oberoi! You may go now. Mishra will guide you" She said resuming back to her work.

Shivaay was just shocked. He thought his second encounter with her would be interesting but it was very bad to his dismay. That evening, Shivaay was waiting outside for a cab as his car tyre was punctured.

Anika who saw him standing went towards him.
"Shivaay?!" Anika called out to him when Shivaay greeted her,"ma'am!"
"you needn't call me ma'am! You can call me Anika" She said smiling at him while he was surprised.
"but..." Shivaay said and wanted to continue further when Anika interrupted him, "That's in office Shivaay. What happened?!"
"Okay" he said smiling back at her and told his problem.

Anika's pov ~

I don't know why I spoke to him very nicely! What's wrong with me?! Did I fall for him? No way and I shouldn't also!

"Would you like a lift?!" Anika offered him a ride when he couldn't deny her.
"Why did I ask him?!" Anika thought back wondering what went wrong with her.

Soon in a few days they became good friends. In office also, Anika became the same old bubbly chirpy girl. The change in Anika was only because of Shivaay. He was doing well in business too. Everything was going well when they had to go to paris for Anika's conference with her clients. Shivaay accompanied her throughout her journey.

The following night at Anika's guest house. There was a sudden power cut unusually. Shivaay who was in the hall went to see why Anika didn't come back from her room. He felt odd. He went to her room to check on her when her room was locked from inside.
"Anika" Shivaay called out but did not get any response back from her.
This time he banged the door but still got no response. Very much tensed, he broke the door.

"Anika" he called out louder this time when he heard her crying.
"Mere paas mat aao. Please! Mujhe mat maaro. Mamma, Papa why did you leave me!?" Anika cried louder. Shivaay goes near her despite she telling him not come near her and hugs her tightly. She didn't resist him, instead became silent.
"It's okay Anika! Calm down, Please" Shivaay said caressing her face. 

He made her calm while she was still in his arms, they both hugging each other. Soon the lights turned on but Anika fell unconscious. He carefully placed her on the bed and when he checked her, she had very high temperature. All the night he was beside her without sleeping giving her medicines and checking her temperature constantly.

The next morning as Anika got up, she found Shivaay sleeping in an uncomfortable position next to her. She was just staring at him remembering the incident that happened yesterday.

Anika's pov ~

I shouldn't be close to him! If I'm close then I will lose him also. I should be alone! That is only correct for me.

As tears escaped her eyes, she noticed Shivaay waking up. She quickly wiped her tears away when Shivaay asked her,"Anika you are fine right?!" 
"Y-yes Shivaay! Get ready we need to go back to Mumbai" She said to which Shivaay nodded.

An hour later, Anika was in the hall when Shivaay strode towards her.
"Anika I have an important work. So can we finish that and go? I mean we still have time for our journey right?" he asked her when she nodded back in response.

They started off but Shivaay didn't actually have any important work. As they reached the standing beauty of Paris, the Eiffel tower Anika asked him very much confused, "Shivaay, you told..."
Shivaay instantly cupped her mouth with his hand and said, "Anika, just enjoy for a while!"
Not arguing, Anika looked through the window enjoying the view outside while Shivaay was just lost into her.

Shivaay holding her hands spoke out, at first Anika was surprised by his action but she just listened to him, "Anika, Shivaay Singh Oberoi suraj hai. Aur jiske pass suraj hota hai, woh andere se darne ki koi zarroorat nahi hai. Mei tumhari zindagi mei itni roshni bardoonga ki tumhare zindagi mei andheronki koi jagah nahi hogi"
Anika just drowned herself in his alluring blue orbs while Shivaay wiped the tear that escaped her eye.

But soon they came back to the real world, Anika didn't speak anything. While Shivaay was thinking about Anika's past which he got to know from his father. They soon reached India Shivaay still wondering about his feelings for Anika.

Anika couldn't forget Shivaay's words.
She was driving the car back from the airport when suddenly a puppy ran towards the middle of the road. She stopped the car suddenly and got down to see the puppy with one of its leg injured. It was already injured, Anika didn't harm it. She just took there puppy in her hands and caressed it affectionately.

Soon they took the puppy to Anika's house and they band-aided his hurt. (A/N ~ Male puppy)
"Thank you Shivaay!" She said when he nodded in response smiling at her. Soon the puppy started playing with them. Anika got very closely attached to the puppy and so named him Chikoo.

Since that day, Chikoo stayed back with Anika taking a place in her lonely life. One fine day, Anika was sitting in the garden reading a newspaper while Chikoo was busy roaming here and there waiting for his favorite Shivaay to come.

Anika didn't notice Chikoo going out of the entrance gate. He went out because he wanted Shivaay to come soon.
(A/N ~ The puppy also knew about Shivika's love for each other. It wanted them to be together too!😍)

Anika notices Chikoo nowhere around her. Panicking she starts searching for him calling out his name constantly. She goes outside to see Chikoo on the middle of the road. Anika was calling out to him continuously but he was just going further. Suddenly a car comes in front of the puppy and...
"Chikoo!" Anika shouted still her eyes closed.

Not wanting to see Chikoo dead, she ran back crying from there. She was badly crying when suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Shivaay, please leave me alone!" Anika said not even looking at him.

Just then she felt a lick on her hand. She opened her eyes to see Chikoo licking her hand. Anika gently picked him up and kissed Chikoo. She then hugged Shivaay instantly saying, "thank you Shivaay!"
"Anika it's okay! We need to thank God that Chikoo is safe" Shivaay said embracing her tightly.

Suddenly she noticed blood on Shivaay's elbow.
"Shivaay! Your elbow is bleeding" She panicked very much shocked. She ran to bring a first aid box and soon bandaided his wound. While she was doing this, she had tears in her eyes which Shivaay didn't fail to notice.

"Anika it's okay!" Shivaay said trying to calm her when she said back, "No it's not okay Shivaay. I know God never lets anyone stay close to me! Today Chikoo and you are hurt! This is all because of me only!"
"No Anika. It's not like that, it was just an accident" He said wiping away her tears.
"Shivaay, you take Chikoo to your house. He won't stay with me anymore and you will also not come to meet me from now on. You are well versed in business too, so you need not come to office anymore" She said sternly shocking him.

"Anika, what's wrong with you?! I'm not leaving you alone okay! That's highly impossible. And about Chikoo, it was just an accident! So please don't blame yourself" Shivaay said back.
"Just understand Shivaay. I can't let anything happen to you! I lost my family, now I can't afford to lose you as well" she said lowering her voice.
"I can't afford to lose my Anika as well, the Anika I saw in you" he said when she said back, "if you want me to live peacefully without any guilt, just go! Don't come back to me ever again"

She left a broken Shivaay. Her heart was aching badly. Somewhere, Anika too broke down.

Anika's pov ~

I love you Shivaay! So only I can't lose you but I can't live without you also. You have become a medicine for my existence! Why are you doing this to me God! What did I do? You took away my family, you took away everything that I loved. Ab chahkar bhi mei Shivaay ke saath nahi rahe sakthi!

Shivaay's pov ~

Anika I love you. I can't stay away from you! It's impossible for me. My life is always with you! Without you I'm incomplete. Without you I feel difficult to breathe even. Without you I don't have the reason to live!

In a span of few days, Anika was back to her ASR MODE, Shivaay became lifeless. Tej started worrying for his son, he couldn't understand what went wrong with him. Shivaay had interest neither in business nor in his profession because he couldn't change Anika, the girl whom he loved a lot. He blamed himself for letting her back into darkness.

One night, Anika was in her office when she gets a call.
"What! Yes I'm coming immediately" She said very much shocked as she heard the news of Shivaay's accident.
She runs out of the office as if she needed to save her life. The road was quite empty and dark but she didn't care. Nothing was important than her Shivaay.

As she reached the hospital, one of the staff lead her to a dark room where dim lights were hanging here and there.
"Doctor, what is wrong!? Shivaay is safe na!?" She asked but the doctor didn't respond to her. She went inside to see Shivaay sleeping there peacefully without any tension on his face.

"Shivaay, get up! Please don't joke okay! Now get up for my sake" She pleaded to him but it was too late by then.
"please Shivaay, I want you back in my life! I'm not there if you are not there. I know you are trying to fool me but I won't get fooled okay! I'm Anika Singh Raizada" she said tears rolling down her eyes.

She till didn't get any response. She cried bitterly confessing her heart out, "Shivaay, I love you damnit! I can't live without you. Aapke andar meri jaan hai Shivaay! I promise I will never leave you! I..."
She was about to faint when someone caught hold of her tightly.
"Shivaay" she called out to him weakly smiling at him. Soon he gave her water and made her drink.

"Anika tum teek tho hona!? You didn't even take care of yourself. Just look at you, you are so weak. Tumhe kuch ho jaatha tho mei kya karoon!?" He asked her out of concern when she asked back in anger, "Shivaay were you doing drama!?"
"Yes actually..." He tried speaking but she interrupted him,"don't tell anything Shivaay! Aapko ye mazaak lag raha hai kya!? Meri jaan tho nikhal gayi thi"

He gently pulled her towards him holding her by her waist.
"Sorry jaan! I did this for you only. I just need you all my life. I love you Anika. Tumhare bina mei rahe nahi paaunga" he said feeling genuinely sorry for what he did.
"Shivaay dare you play such drama ever again. I won't forgive you then" she said hugging him tightly.

"so you forgave me now!?" He asked caressing her face when she nodded in response smiling at him brightly.
"By the way Anika didn't you notice darkness around you?! Weren't you scared?" He asked her when she said chuckling, "no, meri paas suraj hai na!"
"aur mera paas mera chaand!" He said kissing her cheeks. 
"I realised you are my happiness. My sunshine" she said slightly punching his stomach. Instantly, he locked her lips with his wishing the time to cease right at the moment.
