It was nighttime and Anika was on a video call with her sister. But she was lost in deep thoughts. The days events just kept playing in her head and she couldn't stop thinking about Shivaay.

"Di aap teekh ho na," Gauri asked for the thousandth time.

"Ha Gauri. Bas kuch soch rahi thi," she said.

"Zara hume bi batao Di, aisa kya hua jiske wajeh se aap itna lost ho," she said with a smirk. She knew it definitely had to do with a guy and she couldn't wait to tease her.

"Voh aaj na Gauri bohot kuch hua. Pehle voh Shivaay hai na. Voh mera peecha kar raha tha is zid ke saat ki main uska dost banu. Jab voh mujhe akele nahi chod raha tha na, tab gusse mein maine uske muh par paani mardi," Anika said like a baby who regretted her actions. Gauri made an O shape face.

"Kya Di aise koyi karta hain kya," she said in shock.

"Ab judge maat kar Gauri. Tab mujhe bohot zyaada gussa agaya tha," she tried to defend herself.

"Uske baad kya hua," Gauri asked.

"Uske baad na kisine mujhe ek classroom mein band kar diya. Uska chehra maine nahi dekha varna uska aisa hal karta ki apna maa se bhi teek se baat kar nahi pata. Aur phir Shivaay ne aakhe meri madat kar di. Aur usne unhe bola ki mujhse dur rahe." Unintentionally a smile came on her face.

"Oh ho Di," Gauri teased.

"Chup kar," Anika said. "Matlab mujhe samaj nahi aa rahe ke usne meri madat kyu ki. Maine toh uski bohot insult ki."

"Di, shayad voh ek acha ladka hain," Gauri tried to reason. "Aapne shayad usse misjudge kiya."

"Shayad," Anika said. "Ab mein kya karu?"

"Kal maafi mangna. Problem solved," Gauri said.

"Acha teek hain. Main ab sone jaa rahi hun. Goodnight," she said and hung up. She couldn't sleep though. All she could think about was Shivaay and how she messed up. She was going to fix it no matter what.

Shivaay couldn't sleep either as he was thinking about Anika. He was by the poolside when his two cousin brothers came. Omkara and Rudra were his life. He cared about them more than anyone else in the world.

"Kya hua Shivaay, kaha koye ho," Omkara asked.

"Ha bhaiyya," Rudra said. "Aisa lag rahe hain jaise ki koyi ladki ka mamla hain," he said raising his eyebrows.

"Shut up Rudy. Tumhe pata hai na ki Shivaay ko ladkiyon se koyi problem nahi hoti," Om said.

"You're right," Rudra says in realization.

"Actually ha ek ladki ka issue hain," Shivaay said making both the brothers cup their faces. They were shocked.

"WHAT?" They both asked in shock.

"What," Shivaay said in confusion. "Kyu, kya mujhe issues nahi ho sakte."

"Of course not bhaiyya. You're the great Shivaay Singh Oberoi. Aapko ladkiyon se issues nahi hoti, balki ladkiyon ko aapse issues hote hain," Rudra said making a "duh" face.

"Voh kyu," Shivaay asked.

"Arre Shivaay. College mein ladkiyan tere peeche marte hain. Yeh baat to humein bhi pata hai," Omkara said.

"Ha mujhe bhi aisa hi lagta tha. Lekin yeh ladki hai jo bohot ziddi hain. Maine kitne pyaar se bola, mujhse dosti karogi. Dosti toh dhur ki baat hai, mere upar paani mar di," he ranted in annoyance.

"O, pinch me," Rudra said in shock. Omkara was confused but did as he was told. He pinched Rudra who winced in pain.

"Kya," Rudra said being the drama king he is. "Main sapna nehi dekh rahi hun. Koyi ladki ne actually bhaiyya pe paani maari."

"Shut up Rudra," Shivaay said smacking him on the head.

"Waise Shivaay, tujhe toh kabhi farak nahi pada jab koyi ladki tujh mein interested nahi thi. Ab kya hua," Omkara asked in curiosity. Shivaay himself didn't know the answer to that question. He didn't know if he was doing all of it because of the bet or if there was more to it.

"Arre O. Voh issiliye kyunki aisi ladki aaj tak paida nahi huyi," Rudra said making his logic wala sign.

"Hogaya," Shivaay asked in annoyance.

"Accha Sorry baba," Om stopped teasing him.

"Bhaiyya give it time. Aaj nahi to kal voh ladki khud aapke paas aake aapse dosti karegi. Don't worry," Rudra said.

Anika was nervous. She reached college earlier than usual and she had been looking for Shivaay. Sadly she couldn't find him anywhere. She saw Mallika so she walked up to her.

"Hey Anika. Kya hua, you look stressed," she asked.

"Mallika, kya tumne Shivaay ko dekha hai," she asked. Mallika looked at her in surprise.

"Shivaay? Usse toh abhi nehi dekha. Kyun, kya koyi kaam tha," she asked.

"Nahi voh bas usse kuch baat karni thi," she said shrugging it off. At that moment Sidharth walked up to Mallika and engulfed her in a hug. He then saw Anika and he went back in fear.

"Baby, don't worry. Voh tumhe maar nahi degi," Mallika said with a chuckle. She found the entire situation hilarious.

"Anika, ji," he said for respect. "I'm sorry. Mera aapse dushmani kar ne ka koyi irada nahi tha. Please forgive me," he said with pleading eyes.

"It's okay Sidharth. Voh baat toh mein kabka bhul chuki hun. Aur Mallika neh tumhari bohot tareef ki so i assume you're a good guy," she said with a smile.

"Mallika brings out the best in me," he said smiling. "Waise ab toh hum dost ban sakte hai na?" Anika was hesitant but she looked at Mallika who was telling her to go for it. She just smiles and nods.

"Of course Sidharth. Any friend of Mallika is a friend of mine," she smiled.

"Perfect. Toh ab aap mujhe Sid bula sakte hain."

"Okay Sid," Anika said feeling comfortable with him. "Waise kya aapne Shivaay ko dekha hain?"

"Shivaay toh shayaad canteen mein hoga," he suggested. She nodded and bid them goodbye.

The canteen was practically empty in the morning so it wasn't going to be hard for Anika to find him. She entered and noticed him sitting with his friends. She took a deep breath to give her the courage and approached him.

"Shivaay," she said. He looked around in surprise while his friends looked on.

"Oh hey. Anika right," Tia said with a fake smile. "Waise kya chahiye tumhe Shivaay se."

"Voh toh mein inhe bataungi," Anika said with a smile. Tia fumed in anger and Daksh gave her a look, telling her to calm down.

"Waise attitude bohot hain. Lekin Shivaay tumse baat karna nahi chahti," Daksh answered. Shivaay looked on to Anika. He was excited when she approached him but he wanted to see where this will go.

"Waise toh main Shivaay se baat karne aayi thi aur bina baat kiya jaunga nahi," Anika said with determination.

"Kya chahiye," Shivaay asked, looking at her. He signaled Tia and Daksh to leave which they did. "Kya aur paani marne ka irada hain." She felt even more guilty at that moment and looked down.

"Look Shivaay. Voh kal jo maine ghusse mein kiya, voh," she tried apologizing but couldn't find the right words. Shivaay took this opportunity to mess with her.

"Voh kya miss. Aapki message mujhe mil gayi. Aaj ke baad mein aapko annoy nahi karunga. Ab kripiya mujhe akele chod dijiye," he said putting both of his hands together.

"Lekin," Anika tried speaking again but he interrupted her.

"Lekin vekin kuch nahi miss. Aapne toh meri reputation ki dajiya uda di. Pure college ke samne paani mar di. I got the hint okay. Main toh bas dost banne chala tha. Kya pata tha ki kitna bada katra mod le raha hu," he said being over dramatic. That angered her.

"Oh hello. yeh tadi na kisi aur ko jaake dikhana," she said with full on tashan. "Kab se maafi mangne ki koshish kar rahi hun lekin bande ko toh kuch sunna hi nahi hain." Shivaay smiled at her reaction and she gave him a look. "Kya, itni hasi kis baat pe aarahi hain."

"Tum na, ghussa mein badi funny dikhti ho," he said and she shook her head.

"Toh tum bas mujhe ghussa dilane ki koshish kar rahi ho," she said in annoyance.

"Ab kya karu, tum ek ghanta laga rahi thi mujhse maafi mangne mein. Toh maine bhi socha kyun na tumhe tang karu."

Anika looked at him with anger but seeing his face, she couldn't help but crack a smile. Her smile was contagious so he found himself smiling too, so they both looked away smiling.

"Waise. Main bol rahi thi ki kal tumne meri madat ki. Uske liye thank you Shivaay. Waise toh mein khud ka kayal rakh sakthi hu," she said with attitude. "But tumne joh mere liye kiya, I'm really thankful."

"Aur," he said urging her to continue.

"Aur I'm sorry ki maine tumhare muh par paani mara. Mera ghussa nah bohot dangerous hain. Ghusse mein main bohot stupid cheezin karti hun."

"Tumhari maafi mein ek shart par accept karunga," he said. She looked at him in confusion.

"Kaisi shart?" He then extended his hand.

"Ab toh hum dost ban sakte hain na." She looked at him and smiled. She shook his hand.

"Anika."
