Itachi: I'm sorry for the way I talked to you. I didn't mean to sound harsh. I just wanted you to know I was worried.

Obito: I know things are awkward between the four of us right now, just know that we only want what's best for you

Stone: You're mad at us I get that. We'll give you as much time as you need. I just hope you're still coming to dinner this weekend. You know how much papa looks forward to it

Of course, I know. Family dinners are one of the things he loves most. Every Sunday papa makes a big dinner for us and we talk about everything that's going on in our lives. It's one of the reasons we're all so close to each other.

Despite that none of them know how I truly feel. They don't know that I've secretly been wandering about my birth parents. I could never tell them that though. I don't want to risk hurting dad and papa. Not after everything they've done for me.

I knew my brothers would check in on me, I would be doing the same if our roles were reversed. I just can't face them, I'm too ashamed of how I acted.

I was about to get up and head out when my phone pinged with a new message. It was my uncle.

Uncle Tobi: Come to my office, it's important

I kamuied there as soon as I could. His face was stoic making it hard to read him and the situation. "You wanted to see me, uncle"? "Yes, I wanted to inform you about your new teammate". "Teammate? Am I being assigned a genin team"?

"No, it's a two-man team with a man that recently moved to town". "What are his abilities"? "He specializes in lightning, water, and poison ninjutsu". "That could come in handy. How long has be been a Jonin"? "About the same amount of time as you".

"Is he trustworthy"? "That's for you to determine". "I understand. Why me though"? "He asked for you specifically". "Does he know me"? "I'm not sure but I do get the feeling he's interested in you. For what reasons I don't know".

"What's his name"? "Kazumi. He's asked me to allow him to tell you his last name himself".

"If you accept I can send the two of you on your first mission now". He said offering me a scroll.

I do need to take my mind off of things

"I'll do it".

I made my way straight to the gate after I left my uncle's office. I had no idea why this Kazumi guy wanted to be partners with me but I didn't care right now. I just needed something to get my mind off of things and a mission was a perfect excuse to leave for a bit.

My brothers wouldn't be able to call unless it were an emergency. I just hope they haven't told dad or papa what's going on, the last thing I need is them worrying about me.

When I made it to the gate is when I noticed him. He was dressed in traditional black ninja attire instead of the Jonin outfit. It didn't bother me that much since I was wearing a regular outfit with my katana on my side while my other weapons were hidden.

"Kazumi". "Hello, again Shisui". "What's the meaning behind this"? "I have no idea what you're talking about". "You barely know me. Why ask my uncle to team up with me"? "You interest me is all".

I gave him a suspicious look. "Plan on telling me what our missions about"? "We have the escort a woman back to her village since she doesn't feel safe traveling alone".

"Let's get going then". I placed my hand on his shoulder and kamuied us to the meeting destination. When we arrived I immediately took notice to the frantic state the woman was in. I was about to make my way over to her but Kazumi walked up to her first.

"Ma'am, are you ok? We're here to help you"? He said calmly as he stood in front of her while also making sure to leave a little bit of distance between them. "W which village are you from"?

"The hidden leaf, my names Kazumi and this is my friend Shisui". He said gesturing to me. She took in a few deep breaths before allowing herself to calm down. "Thank you, I'm just on edge is all. I wanna get back to my husband". "I assure you we'll bring you to him safely". I said making my way over to them. She nodded her head.

Kazumi

The walk to her village was a long one but we didn't mind. She was the daughter of one of the village elders and her husband was one of the village officials. While walking the three of us remained quiet. Shisui walked ahead while I stayed close beside her. This way we would be able to protect her from both the front and back if need be.

I couldn't help but notice how uncomfortable she still felt. Every so often she would look around to see if someone was following us. It didn't help when a small animal would make rustling sounds in the bushes either.

"Is it ok if I ask you for your name miss? My partner and I forgot to earlier". Shisui turned his head back to look at us when I said that. I guess he thought I wouldn't bring it up or was surprised that I did since I hadn't done it earlier.

It needed to be done though. I had to do whatever I could to make her feel comfortable around us. "Chelsea". "It's lovely". I smiled and she gave me a small one in return.

"May I ask why you were nervous when we arrived"? "I want to get home, I've been away for a while now and want to tell my husband the good news". "What kind of good news"? "He's wanted a child for a while and now I'm ready to give him one".

I noticed Shisui tense up after she said that but soon relaxed after. "That's amazing. How long have the two of you been together"? "We're childhood best friends but have only been married for three years. He asked my father for my hand in marriage after he was promoted to top general".

"I'm happy for you both". "Thank you, Kazumi". She smiled. "You're welcome Chelsea". I smiled back. "We're here". Shisui said as we stood in front of a village gate. "Thank you both so much, I appreciate it greatly". She bowed to us both before heading inside.

I was about to say something but Shisui placed his hand on my shoulder and kamuied us back home before I could. "I need a drink". Those were the only words he spoke to me before walking off.

I wanted to chase after him. I wanted to figure out what was bothering him and find a way to help him through it but I didn't. I just stood there and watched him leave.
