Evan really did wish that he was shocked when his friend "accidentally" let him and another guy use the ice rink the friend owns during the same time. He wish even more that it shocked him to find out the other guy's name is Jonathan. But it really didn't, and Evan could tell that it didn't surprise the other guy either. See, said friend was a mutual friend of the two who has been trying to get the two to meet for literal months, but the two were always too busy to actually meet. They even had text conversations that just said 'Sorry, something came up, could we reschedule?' Back and forth.
So when this tiny guy who Evan swears looks familiar says his name is Jonathan, he almost screams that their friend is a motherfucker. But Jonathan, upon hearing Evan tell him his name, straight up says, "Oh that motherfucker!" To which Evan could only laugh at. Jonathan's cheeks turn a shade of light pink as he says, "I can't really reschedule this, and I'm gonna be here every week during this time.. what about you?" "Ditto." Evan sighs. Jonathan kinda grips the duffel bag on his shoulder, "Okay um.. we could split the ring, you do whatever on your side and I try to do my thing on my side." "Yeah, that could work." "Alright, cool, cool. One condition, you can't laugh at me when I'm doing my stuff because I'm supposed to be working with my partner but he has other things to do currently and the work looks ridiculous without a partner." Evan raises a brow. "I won't, promise. Are you some sort of figure skater or..?" "Ice dancer. I'm an ice dancer." Jonathan looks up at Evan.
"Okay, cool. Well I'm gonna go change and then I'll use the left half of the rink, Okay?" Evan looks back at Jonathan with a smile. "Yeah, Okay. I need to change too so." "Alright, see yah on the ice." Evan nudges Jonathan in a friendly way as Jonathan kinda giggles. "Yeah, Yeah, see you out there." He replies as they make their way to the changing rooms.
