Mapleheart POV

Four moons had passed since the Owlclan incident. From what Mapleheart heard, from Pineflower of course, Falconstar did in fact have a word with Owletstar. Falconstar returned to her clan a few days later, barely able to walk.

She claimed to have been chased by Owlclan cats until she stumbled and fell down a deep hole. The other cats left her there to die and she somehow made her way back to Dawnclan.

Mapleheart was on edge, at this rate, there was going to be a clan on clan war. Everyone else against Owlclan. She shuddered at the thought before pushing it to the back of her mind, there were more important things to worry about at the moment. Like Mousekit and Goosekit!

Today was the day they became apprentices and Mapleheart really wanted to be one of their mentors, she didn't mind which.

She was broken from her thoughts as Duskstar spoke up, Mousekit on the rock first.

"Mousekit, have reached the age of six moons and I believe it is time for you to apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Mousepaw." Duskstar announced.

Mapleheart chuckled, seeing the prideful look on Mousepaw's face.

"Cindertail, you are ready to take on an apprentice."

Cindertail padded forward. She was a black, tabby she-cat with amber eyes, messy fur and a short temper. She was one of the younger Warriors, just a couple moons older than Mapleheart.

"You are an excellent Warrior and you have shown yourself to be fierce and tactical. You will be the mentor of Mousepaw and I expect you to pass on all you know to her." Duskstar finished.

Cindertail and Mousepaw turned towards each other and touched noses, the ceremony was complete.

"Mousepaw! Mousepaw!" The cats cheered.

Mousepaw landed, brushing up against Goosekit and leaving him looking rather annoyed before padding over to stand beside Cindertail. Had she said something to him?

"Goosekit, you have also reached the age of six moons and I believe it is time for you to apprenticed as well. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Goosepaw." Duskstar announced.

Goosepaw nodded, he looked ready.

"Twigfeather, you are ready to take on an apprentice."

Twigfeather shook her fur, stepping to Goosepaw's side. She was a greyish brown tabby she-cat with shiny, yellow eyes, messy fur and scars all up her font legs. She was an experienced Warrior and Mapleheart thought it was about time she had an apprentice.

"You are an incredible Warrior and you have shown yourself to be strong-willed and determined. You will be the mentor of Goosepaw and I expect you to pass on all you know to him." Duskstar finished.

Twigfeather and Goosepaw turned towards each other, just like the pair before them and touched noses, the ceremony was complete.

"Goosepaw! Goosepaw!"

Goosepaw then jumped off with Twigfeather, rubbing against her slightly and shooting a glare at Mousepaw who rolled her eyes.

Mapleheart sighed, couldn't they get just get along for one minute? This was supposed to be a happy time.

All of a sudden Mapleheart noticed something perched on the camp wall and so she squinted to see what it was.

"Attack!"
