To say Felix was in hell would be an understatement.

It was now the beginning of the fourth month since the others broke out from prison and kidnapped Felix. Fourth months since he was taken to the base of what happened to be the most powerful mafia group in South Korea. Four months since he was given to their Boss as an "apology gift".

Four months of being used like a fuck toy and having no say in the matter.

The Boss, Jeongin, was younger than him, but he was without a doubt the cruelest person Felix even had the misfortune of meeting. He was cold and took pleasure in other people's pain, and he didn't care about how much blood had to be spilled in order to get what he wanted.

To an extent, he cared for his most trusted men, Felix eventually came to learn. Chan, Minho, Changbin, Hyunjin, Jisung, and Seungmin were his closest friends, they had all practically grown up together, and he was the only people Jeongin genuinely trusted with his life – but even that didn't always matter when they truly messed up.

To say Felix was scared of Jeongin would be a lie – he was downright terrified of the white-haired man. He controlled everything, saw everything, knew everything – there wasn't one person he couldn't corrupt, not one institution or group he didn't have in his pocket. He was extremely powerful and influential, and even the leader of the country actually worked under him.

Jeongin was a king, and Felix was his slave.

"Fucking hell... Fucking bastard who didn't know his fucking place..."

And because Felix was his slave, it was his job to please him. He'd long since learned that if he couldn't do that much, then Jeongin would have no qualms leaving him to the care of his henchmen, as punishment. The others rarely ever got to touch him anymore, they only got that privilege if they did particularly well on a mission, or if Felix acted out and was "in need" of being put back in his place.

(There was one time, in the first month, when Felix almost succeeded in running away. He got caught, unfortunately, and Jeongin was so angry he left him tied up on the small table in the living room, telling Chan and everyone else to do with him as they pleased.

He was left there for an entire day and, by the time they were done with him, he'd learned his lesson – he never tried to run away again.)

"Felix!" barked Jeongin, making the freckled boy stiffen. "Get—gah, shit."

Felix stared with wide eyes as Jeongin rubbed the spot where his shoulder met his neck, obviously in pain. He probably pulled something earlier. Biting his lower lip, the freckled boy only hesitated one second before speaking up.

"I can- I can give you a massage, if- if you want."

"What?"

Felix gulped as Jeongin suddenly looked back at him, his hard stare unreadable. Still, he knew how much Jeongin hated repeating himself, so he gathered all of his measly courage and spoke up again.

"Your- your shoulder looks like it hurts and- and I know how to give a massage..."

It was a rather weak attempt to try and indirectly convince Jeongin not to sleep with him tonight. He was still incredibly sore from this morning, the Boss having had his way with him while he wasn't even awake, and he wanted a little reprieve. Thankfully, his suggestion didn't seem to anger Jeongin – in fact, he looked intrigued.

"... fine. But if you try anything, you know what'll happen."

Felix quickly nodded in understanding. He wasn't stupid enough to try and harm Jeongin. Even if he did manage to kill him, the others wouldn't have any mercy on him.

(Plus, no matter what he or the others put him through, Felix simply didn't have the heart to kill anyone – he was still too soft, in that sense, and he often found himself cursing his weakness.)

Jeongin got rid of his shirt and laid down on his front, right next to Felix. After a moment of hesitation, Felix reached out and placed a hand over his shoulder.

"Is- is it okay if I straddle you?"

"Sure."

Exhaling in relief, Felix moved to sit on his thighs and, without wasting any more time, he got started on massaging the Boss's back. He instantly found an incredible number of knots, which made him frown. How could Jeongin even move around when he was so stiff? Determined to show his worth as a masseuse – and hopefully upgrade from a simple fuck toy to a useful massage machine – Felix got to work.

It didn't take long for Jeongin to let low groans and moans as Felix worked his magic, but he never told him to stop. And, even though Felix's fingers cramped up painfully, he didn't stop, working relentlessly until he got rid of every single knot. By the time he was done, Jeongin's back was incredibly red, but the man was also the most relaxed Felix had ever seen him.

He carefully climbed off his back and sat on his legs in a seiza position, awaiting his next instructions. He'd already tempted fate too much by speaking out of turn earlier, he didn't want to risk angering Jeongin when he'd just managed to make him relax.

After a few seconds, the white-haired man heaved out a sigh, extending an arm.

"Lay down."

Felix promptly did as told, flinching a bit when Jeongin's arm closed around his waist and pulled him closer, the Boss shifting to lay on his side so he could look at Felix. The freckled boy kept his eyes down, too scared to meet his gaze and, after a few seconds, Jeongin hummed under his breath.

"Thank you. That was nice."

Felix's eyes widened in surprise.

It's the first time he's ever thanked me...

He bit his lower lip, curious about something, but too afraid to ask. Seemingly noticing this, Jeongin quirked a brow.

"If you have a question, ask it."

"I- I was wondering... if you've never had a massage before," asked quietly Felix.

Jeongin stared at him for a moment, and Felix feared he might have been too bold, before the Boss sighed again and rolled onto his back, taking Felix with him and pulling him so he'd lay on his chest, instead.

"Never," he finally answered. "I've never trusted anyone enough to be so close to me when in such a vulnerable position. It'd be too easy to stab me or slit my throat."

Felix gulped, the words tumbling out before he could stop them. "But you trusted me?"

He slapped a hand over his mouth, mortified. Thankfully, Jeongin seemed to be in a forgiving mood, and he didn't comment on it.

"You're too soft to hurt anyone," he replied simply, almost wistfully. "No matter how much any of us deserve it, you wouldn't be able to hurt us, let alone kill me."

Felix lowered his eyes at that, the heat of shame washing through his body. He hated how powerless he was, how even Jeongin knew how weak he was. Thankfully, the Boss didn't say anything else, simply tightening his hold around Felix's waist and closing his eyes.

"Go to sleep," he simply said. "I'm not in the mood tonight."

Felix couldn't help but relax at that. Jeongin might be many things, but he wasn't a liar – that wasn't to say he wouldn't wake up in the middle of the night and decide to have his way with him, but Felix could trust that, right now, he was safe. With a soft sigh, he let himself lean completely on the man underneath him and closed his eyes.

This was nice. He simply wished it could like this every day.

.

Something had changed between Jeongin and Felix.

The freckled boy couldn't pinpoint what, exactly, but he did know that something in their relationship had shifted. In the few days following their strange evening together, Jeongin appeared more... relaxed. More open, to letting Felix speak his mind. He didn't scold him as much, and instead encouraged him to speak up whenever he noticed Felix might have something to say.

He also urged Felix to explore the penthouse. It was the first time since he'd been brought there that was he actually free to roam the place as he pleased, and he was admittedly a little scared of what he'd find. But, as he quickly found out, none of the others actually lived there, and the penthouse was... incredibly normal.

Well, it was luxurious, of course, but Felix would have never guessed it actually belonged to a mafia boss had he not already known its purpose.

Now with permission to leave the room whenever he wanted, Felix started developing a new routine. He took a long, hot shower every morning, watched television or read books during the day, and cooked his own meals in the kitchen. Jeongin wasn't really around during the day, always busy with work, and Felix enjoyed his new freedom.

About a week after the massage incident, Felix was in a particularly good mood, and decided to bake some brownies. The all-too-familiar recipe almost brought tears to his eyes, and he took great joy in making the batter from scratch, like he used to. By the time he was done, an amazingly sweet aroma filled the air, and it almost felt like he was home again, if only for a moment.

"What the hell is this?"

Felix stiffened, spinning around to find Jeongin in the doorway, eyeing the tray of brownies on the counter with no little amount of suspicion. The freckled boy gulped, wondering if this was it – if Jeongin's newfound kindness had finally reached its limit, and he'd go back to being a simple fuck toy forced to stay in the room.

"I- I made brownies," he answered, gulping. "Would- would you like to try one?"

"Brownies...?"

Figuring Jeongin suspected it might be poisoned, Felix was quick to cut to parts. He offered one to the white-haired man, then took a large bite of his own. He couldn't help but smile as the sweet, familiar taste filled his mouth.

"They're really good!" he beamed, without thinking.

His smile fell when he noticed Jeongin still staring at him, and his fear came back tenfold. Had he gotten ahead of himself? Before he could apologize, however, Jeongin suddenly took a bite... and his eyes widened slightly.

"... this is really good."

Felix relaxed, his smile coming back. "Really? I'm glad! I haven't done this recipe in a while, but it looks like I've still got it, ah, ah!"

Jeongin finished the brownie in barely another bite, then glanced at the plate still full of them. "Make a list of the ingredients you'll need – for this and whatever other recipe you want to try. Also, we're going to eat dinner together from here on out. I expect it to be ready at 7PM every evening."

Felix's eyes widened, but his shock was quickly replaced by genuine happiness. "Yes, sir!"

.

Things changed again between them.

Sharing dinner with Jeongin was a strange, slightly awkward affair. Felix used to eat scraps and take-out Jeongin left in the room for him, and now they were sharing a table and a home-cooked meal every evening. At first, the silence was almost suffocating but, soon enough, Felix gathered up the courage to start making small talk.

He avoided the subject of Jeongin's work entirely, instead trying to learn more about him as a person, if only to stave off his boredom. And, before he knew it, Jeongin and him were having civilized conversations about all sorts of subjects, from anywhere between the latest drama to the current game of politics.

This was nice. It was certainly different from the hell Felix had been growing used to.

Unfortunately, good things weren't meant to last.

"Jeongin! Welcome back—"

"Shut up. Bedroom, now!"

It had been a while since Felix last felt genuinely scared of Jeongin, and the feeling almost suffocated him as he scrambled to his feet and jogged to the bedroom. He barely had the time to sit on the bed that Jeongin was already joining him, practically ripping off his clothes before joining Felix.

He was rough, just like he used to. His strong grip left bruises and his relentless pounding practically teared Felix in half because he hadn't bothered with prepping him at all, and it'd been so long since he last touched the freckled boy.

And Felix cried, like he used to – he cried because it hurt, he cried because he thought things were finally getting better, he cried because he'd sincerely believed Jeongin had started to change, and he only now realized just how much of a fool he'd been.

By the time Jeongin was through with him, Felix felt just as empty as the first time he'd been raped, back in prison. He could feel his heart beating, but he didn't feel alive. His mind was blank and his soul hollow – he just wanted to die for good, and finally be at peace.

What did I do to deserve any of this...?

"... Felix... You didn't- you didn't do anything... No, you didn't deserve this... I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..."

Jeongin was crying too, now, and Felix couldn't understand why. In the end, he simply closed his eyes and prayed he wouldn't wake up.

.

The next morning, Felix woke up alone and aching. He still felt empty.

Getting up, he was surprised to find a couple of painkillers and a glass of water on the bedside table, along with a stack of clean, loose clothes and a handwritten note.

Don't bother with making dinner tonight, I'm bringing takeout.

Also, check the news when you wake up.

Felix was a bit confused. He didn't really know what to make of Jeongin's note, but he knew better than to question the man by now. Since he didn't have the strength to drag himself to the bathroom for a shower, he simply got changed before heading to the living room and plopping down on the couch.

Turning on the TV, he was instantly greeted by the local news.

And he immediately saw a picture of him, in the top corner.

Felix could only watch with growing awe and confusion as, right there on the screen, his former employer at the bank was escorted out of his home with handcuffs on, while the reporter explained in grand details that the man was being detained for numerous reasons... one of which was framing a certain Lee Felix.

And then, as if that wasn't enough, they added a footage taken from the prison itself, showing the blurry images of a group of people breaking out – and then, they proceeded to explain how Felix hadn't escaped with them, but had actually been kidnapped, and how the police was now proceeding with the investigation to rescue him.

His name had been cleared. He was finally being recognized as innocent. He wasn't a criminal in the eyes of the law anymore, and all of his former friends and family would finally know he'd been right all along.

In that moment, Felix felt an incredible number of things, but the one that truly stood out was his relief – the burden of a crime he didn't commit finally taken off his shoulders.

.

When Jeongin returned that evening with sushi (Felix's favorite), he barely had the time to put the food on the counter before the freckled boy literally jumped into his arms. The man had to fight every instinct not to push him off, and belatedly realized Felix was actually hugging him – and crying, too.

"Thank you," he sobbed, wrapping his legs around Jeongin's waist tighter so he wouldn't fall. "Thank you, thank you, thank you...!"

"... I'm sorry, for yesterday. It wasn't your fault. I shouldn't have taken my anger out on you like that," admitted quietly Jeongin.

He'd never apologized to anyone in his life before. Jeongin wasn't the type to show weakness but, with Felix, he couldn't help but feel like he could finally let his barriers down, like he could finally show his weakest side and not be ashamed of it – and Felix once again proved him right when he didn't take advantage of it, and simply hugged him some more.

.

Things changed once more between Felix and Jeongin.

The Boss was now much more open with Felix. He shared without prompting, often sought advice, and showed an emotionally vulnerable side that truly didn't fit the harsh persona Felix had grown used to. He didn't use or order Felix around anymore, and instead asked when he wanted something, and respected it when Felix said no.

And Felix... well, Felix started seeking him out. He liked being relied on, he enjoyed how Jeongin started treating him like a precious confident rather than a fuck doll, and how every day spent together only seemed to bring them closer. Jeongin actually listened to him now, and their time spent together was now tinged with something new.

It wasn't quite love, that much Felix knew, but it was something.

They started cuddling on the couch while watching movies together, shared breakfast and dinner while sitting next to each other, sometimes cooked together when they had the time, exchanged sweet kisses here and there, and though they shared the same bed, their nights were now filled with words and promises rather than moans and tears.

Well. There were still moans, sometimes, but they were now given willingly.

All in all, things were going incredibly good. Frankly, Felix had never felt this happy before, and he was sometimes tempted to think that even his life before the entire prison ordeal couldn't measure up to what he had now.

"Aish, they're so dumb... I can't do this anymore, I'll just send Seungmin to get their numbers in order," groaned Jeongin.

Curious, Felix glanced at the stack of papers in front of him. Despite their growing relationship, he'd never touched the subject of Jeongin's work, and he couldn't help but feel a little curious. Unable to help it, he picked up some of the papers and started reading over what was giving Jeongin such a headache.

"Wow, they really are stupid," he mused without really thinking. "Those numbers don't add up at all. They're either really bad at math... or they're fooling you."

Jeongin stiffened, glancing at him. "Why are you saying that?"

"Well, it's just, those numbers are really bad, right? But from what I've gathered, they're a pretty successful company... If they really had such an awful management, wouldn't it have gone under already? I think they're just making fake mistakes to cover up the fact that they're actually stealing some of the money."

Jeongin's eyes widened at that, and he promptly took the papers back. Quickly reading them over, he soon let out a loud curse as he realized that Felix was right.

"Damn it! Those bastards are going to get a visit from Changbin," he growled. Angrily tossing the papers aside, he then spared a contemplative glance for Felix. "... do you mind helping me out with the paperwork? There's still a lot of it left, I'll be done faster if we both work on it."

Surprised, Felix then grinned at him.

.

Two months later

.

"—and last but not least, we have to handle—"

'KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK'

Jeongin stopped talking as all eyes instantly shifted to the closed door of his office. He was currently in an important meeting with the group, and none of them could fathom who would be foolish enough to interrupt them.

Their Boss appeared unperturbed, though – in fact, he perked up.

"Come in!"

The door was pushed open and, a second later, none other than Lee Felix stepped in. All of the men's jaws instantly hit the floor as the freckled boy made his way inside. He was a far cry from the shy, broken little thing they remembered him to be – Jeongin had adamantly refused for any of them to approach Felix in months, now. Jisung and Minho both let out wolf whistles as he passed by them, the others staring at him with no little amount of lust. Was the Boss going to play nice and share again?

Hyunjin, one of the boldest, reached out to squeeze Felix's ass as he walked past him.

"Hi, sweetheart—ack, fuck!!!"

Everyone's eyes widened as, without warning, Felix grabbed Hyunjin's wrist and twisted, the distinct noise of a bone popping out of place echoing morbidly in the room. There was a moment of stunned silence as Hyunjin collapsed to his knees, cradling his injured arm to his chest while Felix sauntered away, Jeongin watching him approach with an endeared smile.

"Hi, Lixie," he greeted, distinctly amused.

"Hi, baby," replied Felix with a little giggle as he plopped down on his lap. "I finished the graphics like you asked. Did I do well?"

"You did great," replied Jeongin, giving him a quick kiss. "I'm almost done with my meeting. Can you be a good boy and keep quiet while I wrap this up?"

Felix simply smiled and nodded, hugging him while Jeongin started speaking again. His smile widened just the slightest bit when he heard the Boss talk about making an alliance with a growing Idol company – that had been Felix's idea, and he was quite happy to know Jeongin had approved of it.

Felix didn't want to leave anymore. He'd lost too much to give up what he'd gained.

So long as Felix had Jeongin, no one would ever hurt him again.

Jeongin might be the King, and Felix might be his slave, but Felix was the one truly pulling the strings, now.
