Finally! Yes, another update! Sorry all the owed art is taking so long. I recently discovered that drawing for others, is harder than drawing for yourself. At least for me. So, yep, heh, my apologies!

Anyhoo, here is a reference sheet for my fav- um... ekhem- one of my top five favourite characters. Dusk!

Choosing the colour palette was so hard! And laying it out. And making up an entirely new design for her.

So, as I am creating the characters for my (completely original) book, I thought I'd draw a few reference sheets for the more important ones. Maple will get one, Shatter, Tempest, Caldera, Cascade, Torrent, etc. You won't know most of these names, but I hope you'll like them!

I'll add a big description of her in this part later; I'm just rushing now. EDIT: It is now at the end, and probably will be commonly updated.

     First off, nope, she is NOT a SeaWing/ SeaWing-NightWing or any Wings of Fire related dragon. Dusk is from my own, completely original species. She is an Amephyst-Sapphire hybrid, between her Amethyst mother, called Meteor, and her Sapphire father, called Cascade. Now onto her actual description!

     Dusk has a fairly stout and strong build, with anatomical structure similar to that of an Iguanadon. She obtained multiple genetic malfunctions from the quite varied combination of Sapphire and Amephyst genes. Her frame and body is shaped more closely to that of an Amephyst, with the thicker legs of a Sapphire.

     A mix of both Guilds, her tail is short and thick, but narrows quickly into a quite ordinary width. Her talons are moderately hand-like, with flexible 'fingers' and opposable 'thumbs'. Dusk's scales and hide are incredibly thick (and fire-proof); a result of both of her parent's being from the Guilds with the most durable scales.

     They have scale-less membranes of a dark periwinkle colour, with the back of them being covered in the same thick, violet scales as the rest of her body. She has only two horns on them, from her Sapphire father, each on the tip of the 'hand' part of the wing.

     Her scales are mostly a deep violet to indigo colour, with slightly deeper-coloured gills, medium purple underscales and dark indigo-blue spine scales. The bioluminescent markings are a sky blue colour, taken after her father, with, however, irregular placing and patterns.
