(A/N: Oh the timing for this next chapter just got me a bit emotional but am over it now. 

It sucks I know. For "budget cuts", Tegan Nox is now released and back to being Nixon Newell. Also other releases but I am not devaluing those who are released. Times are hard when job security is one vital concern even now during the pandemic.

Anyway, rambling above is done. Nothing can be done but here is a little piece I have given the news that I heard while at work about this recent batch of releases and how fitting the title of this book is.

Tegan Nox is no more
Nixon Newell has returned
Whatever name she will be called
May she shine ever brighter in her resilience
Despite the injuries and the struggles with mental health
Shine brighter than ever before and prove to the nay-sayers, you've still got this.

This is Shiniest Resilience at its finest.
And may the resilience be with those who were also cut and find a place to grow outside a company that has alienated its fanbase and clung on to its backward, selfish ways

Also, despite this painful release and the above thoughts I had, I made a pledge that this book continues on no matter what. This was in the drawing board during the pandemic before her release. No stopping now or ever. My pledge and outlet over all this.

P.A.3.K. was stretching as was his ritual before a match. Things still had a tinge of normalcy despite Tegan flying back to Wales days ago. While he tried to steel himself and focus for what will be his on screen appearance tonight, a part of him is still not used to a certain Girl with the Shiniest Wizard not around checking up on him.

He was then awaken from that daze when Dakota snuck up on P.A.3.K.

Dakota: Hey, you holding up well big guy?

P.A.3.K.: When did you start calling me big guy?

Dakota: - giggles - Now. But yeah, has she replied back Pat?

P.A.3.K.: Well, I think not. But I will guess time with her family after a long absence took over. So I best respect her space.

Dakota: Need to always be a wet blanket? - giggles -  A simple hey wouldn't hurt ya know?

P.A.3.K.: I guess until after the show.

Dakota: Your choice, but as the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder

P.A.3.K.: We're just friends, Kota!

Dakota: From how you're reacting, I can guess more than that - smirks -

As they talked, Cameron arrived.

Grimes: Oh, we're teasing big man Pat here? - chuckles -

Dakota: Already done - grins -

Grimes: Aww shucks! But hey, if you need an open ear, I'm your guy as well.

P.A.3.K.: Well, thanks Cameron.

Grimes: Kota, mind if ya leave us be first? We have to discuss our plans.

Dakota: Ya sure! Later and don't worry, I will ensure Steff (Tegan) still has her man waiting for her to come home - giggles -

Dakota left as agreed when P.A.3.K., Cameron and later on, Kassius discussed about what they have planned for tonight.

Grimes was already in the ring as he had a smarmy grin on his face.

Grimes: Well well well. Lookie who you have on your screen and in front of you. It ain't that runt rookie Pee Ay Three Kay! But me, Cameron Grimes! This rook thinks that just because he got one win over me, which I just let him because I was unprepared and found it unnecessary to beat him. He thinks he is better than me? No, you see I gave you that win. That's right, I let you win. It's psychology. I let you win but I will ensure that the war ain't over. Things will never be over until I put you in your place so I can go to the....

Wade: It's Kassius Ohno!

Mauro: What is the Knockout Artist doing here?

Wade: It's to maybe appreciate or thank Cameron Grimes or that he is one in his crusade....

Vic: Come on! Kassius didn't look in any way pleased with how Cameron "helped" him in his match last week!

Grimes: Well lookie here! If it isn't my good buddy Kassius Ohno...

Kassius looked confused while Cameron ran his mouth 

Grimes: I am happy you have joined my crusade to rid NXT off guys like P.A.3.K. who think they can steal our spots. The real wrestlers, the ones who had to pay their dues. Not the ones who had to jump ship from one realm to another to make it big here. Not the....

Kassius: Let me stop you there. I didn't knock the hell out of P.A.3.K. for you. He was the opposition. He was my opponent. Now I didn't appreciate you jumping him on my behalf

Grimes: Nonsense!

Kassius: - voice showing some anger - I almost had him beat!

Grimes: Yet who was reeling near the end of the match before I caved him in?

Kassius was enraged and stood his ground against Grimes

Kassius: You better watch your mouth you weasel.

Grimes: Relax now! Don't let it out on me, let it out on P.A.3....

As Grimes was about to finish his sentence, in came the Titan of Tondo with a sneak attack, making Grimes slightly land on Kassius as P.A.3.K. grounded and pounded his fists on Grimes. 

As Grimes was cowering in fear, P.A.3.K. was able to remove Cameron Grimes from the ring. Little did he know, Kassius hits a discus elbow smash on P.A.3.K. straight to the jaw, once again knocking out the Titan of Tondo. Kassius, in annoyance, swiftly leaves the ring and walks away to the back. 

Grimes was slowly gaining back into the ring as he was struggling to get back up. He saw that P.A.3.K. had been knocked out by Kassius Ohno as he then slowly picks up the dazed Titan of Tondo and does a Cave In on P.A.3.K. as the segment ends with Grimes celebrating as if he had won the NXT Championship.

Vic: That is just disgusting! Letting Ohno do all the work

Wade: That is smart of Grimes

Vic: Oh will you stop!

Mauro: From the body language, I think Grimes is making two enemies here. He better tread carefully.

Beth: I agree with Mauro. Ohno looks to be an unwilling accomplice or even a third person in this continuing war between P.A.3.K. and Cameron Grimes.

Trainer's Office
William Regal was backstage as the trainer finished tending to P.A.3.K., who was now applying the icepack to the back of his neck.

Regal: How are you doing, P.A.3.K.?

P.A.3.K. was no longer in a mood to mince words or even say he's fine.

P.A.3.K.: - furious - I want both Ohno and Grimes next week.

Regal: Are you mad? You were unable to handle both of them and just minutes ago proved that!

P.A.3.K.: - furious and with scorn - I WANT....OHNO AND GRIMES AT THE SAME TIME!

Regal: I will give you both of them next week on NXT but you need a tag team partner. No partner, no match

P.A.3.K.: Fine...but I know no soul who would dare want to shut their mouths.....

As if on cue, Keith Lee drops by and puts a hand on P.A.3.K.'s shoulder. The Titan of Tondo felt apprehensive to the Limitless One touching him and nearly cocked his fist.

Keith: Relax P.A.3.K. No need to take it out on me too. I got some unfinished business to tend to with Mr. Kassius Ohno. I know Cameron Grimes still wants to use you as fuel for his moon flying ride, but let me tell you this. I've seen what you're capable of. Of what you can do with those strikes and grapples. I respect you jumping ship and I want to reassure you that you belong here. Next week, you can trust that we will drive that message deep into the skulls of Grimes and Ohno.

P.A.3.K.: Then he's my partner - smirks -

Regal: Excellent.

Regal, Keith and P.A.3.K. breathed as the scene was done.

Regal: Quite the act you two.

Keith: Well, my first time to work with this promising one here - drapes an arm around P.A.3.K. - The girlfriend told me a lot about you. 

P.A.3.K.: Oh! Uhm...

Keith: Relax, you whooped her ass in Call of Duty and is unable to live that down - laughs - But really, I've seen your work so far and I now get to see you up close.

P.A.3.K.: Thanks! That's great coming from such an institution like yourself.

Keith: Nah! I don't see myself as such, more of a journeyman that finally found a home to be honest. But listen, - sees Regal - mind giving us some privacy Mr. Regal?

Regal: Oh of course. But if this is about Tegan, I join you all in hoping she had a safe flight and a speedy recovery. Already missing that lass.

Regal left as both Keith and P.A.3.K. are in the trainer's office.

Keith: Look man, if you need any advice, I'm here man. 

Grimes and Ohno suddenly walk in and join the support train.

Kassius: Sign me up. I can tell you're a good man so ...wait we're talking about Tegan and this big boy here?

Grimes: For the tenth time yes man!

Keith: Geez - chuckles -

P.A.3.K.: Well I better check my phone and....

His phone was ringing with this following screen notification

Tegan (Steffanie) wants to video call with you

Kassius: Answer it boy!

P.A.3.K. opens his phone to see Tegan in her bed all pouty

P.A.3.K.: Hey. Why the pout?

Tegan: I couldn't sleep - sad voice -

P.A.3.K.: Sleep? What time is it over there? It's just 10pm here at FLorida

Tegan: Bloody hell! It's 3AM here - giggles -

P.A.3.K.: You're still awake?!?!?!

Tegan: - sad - yeah

Keith then began to interrupt the call

Keith: Steffanie! Get well soon there!!

Grimes: Get well so you can perform the best and fly to. the. moon! - chuckles -

Kassius: Get well soon Tegan. Someone misses you a lot over here - smirks -

Tegan heard the messages from Keith, Cameron and Kassius as P.A.3.K. was now a blushing mess. Tegan giggled but hid most of her face until her eyes are not covered by the blanket on her bed.

Tegan: You just finished for NXT?

P.A.3.K.: Yup

Tegan: Oh! Well, sorry to catch you at a wrong time. But I'm here to say I was able to see my family again which is why I was unable to respond as I got my feet on Welsh soil.

P.A.3.K.: No worries - smiles -

Tegan: - yawns - well...now I know we have a 5 hours difference, I will call you at a better time. Good night over there.

P.A.3.K.: Good morning to you - smiles -

Tegan closed her eyes and ended the video chat. P.A.3.K. breathed a sigh of relief as Keith, Kassius and Cameron left the room. P.A.3.K. felt the warmth slowly creep back into himself as he was assured Tegan is safe in Wales.
