Astronomy tower

A/N: Aye I know am late. Sorry for the huge delay but I had some personal problems. Anyways on to the story...

I walked through the empty hallways of the dilapidated castle. My hair flew behind me with the force of the explosion. I held up my hands to protect my face from the flying debris.
The wind howled in my ears. The scratches and injuries hurt worse when hit by the cold night air. I spat out the rubble from my mouth, still tasting some mud and bricks and looked up at the night sky.
The dark mark was clearly visible. Green and ugly it spread over the night sky scaring my wits out of me. The time had finally come to confront my true loyalties. It was time for Albus Dumbledore to die. I couldn't do this. I wasn't a murderer.
But someone had to do it. And I couldn't let Dad damage his soul. I don't even know why Draco is doing this shit today. We were supposed to do this a week after. My heart pounded loudly in my chest as I ran up the stairs. Granger and Lovegood passed me on their way to the dungeons. Maybe they were going to inform Dad. He was still an Order member for them. Realization hit me hard. Everything was going to change. Today everyone would know our true loyalties. Everyone would shun us out of the society. The ministry could put us into Azkaban. The dark mark burned more painfully on my arm. The black snake slithered erasing all doubt, all hope I had of redemption. I had no chance of going back. There was only one way.
My feet trembled as they hit the floor faster than ever before. I ran across the grass throwing curses, defending myself from jinxes. The Order had already landed. Mc'gonagall was fighting with a masked Death eater at the base of the tower. I ran up the steps throwing a bat bogey hex at his back. I did not look back to see if it hit my target.
My footsteps echoed in my ears, my blood rushed through them like seawater hitting rocks. The sounds of battle had filled the air. Lights were flying, red and green in every direction.
I could see Draco threatening Dumbledore now. I could hear Bellatrix cackling. I could hear the sniggering giggles of Greyback as they mocked the old man.
Draco's hand shook as he pointed his wand at him. He denied the offer to join him. I heard footsteps behind me. I turned, wand at ready, the Stunning spell on my mind. My heart thundered in my chest. I could feel my hand shaking worse than it ever had. My legs trembled. My feet couldn't carry my weight. I wanted to cry but I knew I had to stay strong.
The familiar scent of asphodel, leather and coffee hit my nose. I knew this scent. It would have been comforting in any other situation but right now, Dad meant trouble.
"What are you doing here?" he hissed.
"Completing your tasks." I snarled and set off on my path again. Dolohov and Rookwood were standing along with the others, enjoying the scene. Dumbledore was distracted by my appearance. Dressed only in a holey tee and yoga pants I knew my appearance was disheveled. I knew I looked out of place among the others dressed up for war. Dad joined me soon afterward.
"Severus, please." Dumbledore turned to him and my eyes widened. Both our wand hands raised at the same time. I had to kill him. I wanted to. I knew I had to feel the hatred. I had imagined doing this a hundred times in the last year. I had always known I would do this. I would do this to save his soul. I would do this to prove the old man wrong. He had no right to ruin our lives. He deserved death and ge would get it.
"Avada Kedavra." I screamed before Dad could even think of uttering those words, before anyone could think of stopping me. The apple green light shot out of my wand and hit Albus Dumbledore square in the chest. He froze, the force of the curse making him fly backwards and fall off the tower.
My eyes widened in shock and fear. I had killed a man. I murdered a human being. Someone grabbed me by my elbow and stirred me downstairs. My feet trudged on the floor, the images replaying in my head.
"Move, Shine. Move. I can't drag you all the way. Move, c'mon. I can't handle you like this." someone hissed in my ear, constantly pushing me ahead of them and making me duck at tines, pulling me by my hair.
"Do you wish to get caught? Run." I heard Aunt Bella scream in my ear, bringing me halfway to my senses. I looked around to realise where we were. I had killed Albus Dumbledore. I had commited murder. I had blood on my hands and we were in the middle of a small battle. I had to get out of here. I had to escape. Or they would put me into Azkaban. I dodged a red spell shot at me. I looked behind us to spot Harry running after us.
"Cowards." he screamed. Dad pushed me ahead and I realized the person guiding me till now was him. I could see the gates in front of me a few meters ahead. Rookwood crossed the boundary and apparated turning on the spot.
"Dolohov, take her. Go Bellatrix. Let me deal with that scum." Dad was shouting instructions. "Take Draco with you. Go. Remember the Dark Lord's instructions."
Bellatrix cackled and grabbed Draco. Hagrid's hut was burning. The dog was barking. I was being dragged away by Dolohov as Potter shot spell after spell at Dad. I shot a urchin skin hex at him but missed. He shifted his attention to me.
"You bitch. You deserve to die. He trusted you. You traitor. You are a COWARD. You don't deserve to live." he screamed throwing hexes at me. Dad blocked them all. Potter turned back his attention on Dad. And at that moment I turned on the spot and the scene dissolved in front of my eyes. Everything went black, I felt like I was being squeezed through a tight tube and suddenly squeezed out of it. I landed on my bum as I breathed in mouthfuls of fresh air. I crouched on all fours in front of the gate.
It was too much to take. After everything we had left Dad behind. Panic struck my heart. My whole body was trembling, cold sweat budded on my forehead. Bile rose up my throat. Tears stung my eyes and last night's ham sandwich and lemon meringue was propelled out of my system in a mass which did not remotely resemble the food I had eaten.
My heart still thudded in my chest so loud I could hear my own heartbeat. Black spots floated in front of my eyes, my head spun faster than ever and yet again I threw up. I felt acidic, metallic, bitterish taste in my mouth.
"Fuck! It's blood!" a male voice shouted. A distant popping sound made me turn my head and look back. I saw Dad turning on the spot and a sense of relief washed over me.
I closed my eyes and my hands gave way as I fell in a pool of my own vomitted blood.
