A/N: Okay guys a new part. This is a bit wierd, a bit intense and contains a little amount of sexual abuse. Erm, hope you guys understand and don't feel it is too much...

Severus Snape stepped through the fireplace at Number 12 to land in the stuffy kitchen of the Black house. A smell of burnt bacon and toast reached his nose and he grimaced. He spotted the bag of filth, with curly haired wig sitting in the chair, leaning back, balancing it on it's hind legs, smirking up at him.

Severus merely rolled his eyes and decided to ignore Sirius Black, he had much more important tasks to do. Fortunately for him, Molly entered the kitchen just that moment. "Ah Molly, I wish to have a word with Potter. Privately please down here. Would you be kind enough to inform him?" he asked. Molly nodded.

"Certainly Severus, I will get him downstairs." she said leaving hastily. He settled down in a nearby chair, drumming his fingers on the table. He wished Potter would get down fast enough. He had many more important jobs to complete. And he also wanted atleast a glance of his daughter before he left. The door to the kitchen creaked open again and in came Iris. Snape looked up at her his eyes momentarily lingering on her but he looked away almost immediately, before anyone could catch him staring at her delightful curves. The fact that she broke off with Black was too much to digest for him, initially. But right now, with her dressed up in the green and gold Weasley jumper, with all the marks of insanity erased from her face, with her hair neatly combed up in a soft, curly ponytail, he gulped the Adam's apple bobbing in his throat. The faint scent of mint and coffee He found it difficult to train his eyes away from her, to ignore the strange warmth in the lower abdomen, but he concentrated on Sirius. He tried to divert his mind away from her.

"Hello Snape." she greeted totally formal. He groaned inwardly but bit his tongue and merely nodded at her. If anyone could please take the effort to remind him of why he refused to acknowledge her a few weeks back. Potter entered the kitchen. Yes, here was the reason. Harry Potter had to be protected. And he couldn't let his feelings for another person interfere with that. Dumbledore had taken great care so that his feelings for his own daughter wouldn't interfere with that.

"I would like to talk privately with you Potter, however some people here do not understand the term." he sneered freely glaring pointedly at Black. The main reason why he told Iris he only ever loved one person. He loved Lily. He had only used Iris all those years back. But despite this she remained firm on one desicion, she won't get back with Black, no matter what. Iris walked out almost immediately, thinking the taunt was directed at her.

"I am his godfather, I have every right to be here!" Black argued back.

"Would do much more good if you actually paid same amount of attention to your own daughter." he drawled smoothly. "Anyhow, since I do not have much time to argue with jobless idiots. I understand Black, that you like to feel.... ah, involved. Stay by any means."

The smirk widened on his face and Black flushed. "What's that supposed to mean?" Sirius asked.

"Merely that I am here on Dumbledore's orders. And that I do something ah, useful..." he laid special stress on the word. "for the Order."

Severus sneered and turned to Potter. "I have been sent here to inform you that it is the Headmaster's wish, Potter that you study Occlumency." Potter looked just as confused as ever.

"Study what?" he repeated. His sneer became more pronounced.

"Occlumency, Potter. The art of blocking your mind to unnecessary magical penetration by another witch or wizard trained in the branch." he drawled in explanation. That idiot certainly had a lot of questions.

"And why do I need to learn this Occlu- thing?" Potter asked so mediocre, that he had to resist the urge to groan. How could he have ever agreed to teach this idiot, Lily's son or not.

"Because it is the Headmaster's wish that you do." he replied smoothly instead.

"Who's going to be teaching me?" he asked. Yet another question, he groaned inwardly. He raised a single eyebrow questioning Potter's sanity. By now Severus was totally amused with the height of his stupid questions. Did this boy destined to save them from the great Dark lord have zero logic?

"I am, obviously." he replied slowly, observing his expression change to horror. "You will receive private lessons every week, Monday evening at six. You will not tell anyone, least of all Dolores Umbridge."

"Why can't Dumbledore teach Harry?" Black interfered as was his nature.

"Because, I believe it is the Headmaster's privilege to avoid less enjoyable tasks." he sneered in reply. "I assure you I did not beg for the job. Now, where is Shine?"

"I have no idea. But wait a moment...." Sirius said making him growl in annoyance.

"Get to the point fast, Black. Unlike you I do not have unlimited leisure time. I have many things to do." he said silkily.

"Very well, I will get to the point. If I hear you are using the Occlumency lessons to trouble Harry in any way, you will have to deal with me." Black warned him very seriously. His lip curled in contempt.

"How touching! But you would know he is very like his father-"

"Obviously, he is." Black cut in very proud.

"Well then, you must know this. All criticism simply bounces off him." he continued sleekly. "Now, I need to talk to Shine and leave urgently. Where is she?"

"I don't know." Black replied so offhandedly it annoyed Severus to no end.

"What do you mean by you don't know! She was supposed to be living here." he shouted, his fist balling around his wand in his pocket. Instinctively Black's hand went inside his pocket too.

"I don't know, she's running out every chance she gets. She doesn't answer anyone here. Only Merlin may have some idea where she runs off to. But if you are lucky she might be in her room. Haven't seen her go out since this morning." Black said just as Severus raised his wand to point at Sirius' carotid. Black pulled out his wand a moment later to aim at his heart just as Mr. Weasley entered the kitchen, completely excited.

"Completely cured." he declared happily to the kitchen. Both men turned to the door which had just opened. All the Weasleys froze in the doorway. Severus was the first to lower his wand.

"Where is Shine?" he hissed. His worry was increasing by the moment. If she wasn't here, where was she?

"She... er, must be in her room. After her argument with me in the evening she walked out. But she must have come back sometime in the night, though I haven't seen her all morning." Vega replied. Severus had the strongest urge to slap his forehead. Right now he was wishing desperately that he would find the girl in a very horrible mood, but at least find her here. He strode up the stairs.

"First room to the left, second floor." Molly hurried after him. He touched the door knob and a shock ran through him. He instantly withdrew his hand, pulled out his wand and broke the wards. He slammed the door open, but the room was empty. No sign of the girl who was supposedly inside.

"When did anyone last see her?" he growled turning to the others. They all looked scared and confused. He was getting angrier by the moment. The stress was building up inside him. He felt like his insides were being squashed together.

"Yesterday. In the evening." Fred said.

"I haven't seen her since four in the evening." George added to his rage. He picked up the bottle of antidepressant potion on the dressing table beside the bed and looked in the mirror. Since four in the evening. The words echoed around in his head. It was obvious what had happened.

There were only two possibilities. One of which was Volkov Manor. But Shine wasn't stupid enough to not return home in these insane times or at least inform him before taking any action. He knew her too well. No matter how frustrated she was, she would inform him of her desicion. And she hadn't been talking to Volkov, so the chances were very slim. But still there was a chance, in case she forgot.

But that didn't lessen any stress. She had been out. She didn't return even in the night. She had enough time to think and send at least one letter claiming she was safe. But she hadn't. And that definitely meant something. She had been captured. They had threatened him with this. And if she actually had been kidnapped the chances were slim she would agree to join. More than twelve hours had passed. Enough time to break a person. Enough time to torture a person into insanity....

The bottle burst to pieces in his hand, the pieces of glass pierced him but he still kept angrily squeezing his fist. They couldn't do this to him. The rage in him boiled over. He kicked the bed in rage directed at the dark lord. He would have to make sure she was safe. He quickly descended down the stairs. He had to rescue her. And there was only one way.

********************************

Her own shrill screams echoed in the dank, dark basement piercing her eardrums. Her throat was hoarse from all the screaming. Her eyes rolled back into their sockets. By now, her voice should have become non existent and yet she was screaming at full volume. A snake slithered across the floor covered with her own blood tasting the warm, metallic taste with it's tongue.

Her body immersed in unbearable pain for Merlin knows how long. Her joints hurt so bad she was afraid she wouldn't be able to creep out of this hellhole, let alone walk or run. The acid dipped needles pierced every inch of her body, burning the injuries. And her muscles twisted in wierd angles. And even though she knew that this was all in her mind, she could still feel the pain and not ignore it. Her jaw was bruised and swollen with the blows. One of her eyes was blue and having double vision. It seemed like her lacrimal glands had all run dry, the tears won't come out anymore no matter how much she wanted to cry away her pain.

She couldn't tell if it was day or night. And even though it felt like the torture had lasted days, she knew it had just started yesterday. The duel against five grown wizards had taken it's toll on her magic reserves. She had no powers to get out of this alive and consequently no hopes.

The unfinished basement still had jagged rocks at places that made her stumble over and cut herself on them causing her to bleed and bruise over a hundred places. Her now swollen ankle was twisted in a wierd angle.

The curse stopped suddenly, leaving her on the floor shivering and trembling. She hugged herself on the uneven, cold, rocky floor. The roar of laughter rippling through the room made her even more uncomfortable. There was a dark chuckle.

"Tut.. tut... tut. Now, my girl you know Lord Voldemort doesn't wish to harm any magical blood. Especially special ones like you. You only have to join me. Join me and this torture stops." he hissed.

"No." Shine whispered in her broken voice yet again. "I have no interest in turning myself into a pawn in your games. I don't want to fight any wars."

"As you wish. Dolohov, as her capturer would you like the honours to strip her?" he asked, looking at the blonde haired wizard. Shine looked around at the crowd and cowered as far away from him as possible in the limited space. All who had tried to save her, stop the humiliation or try and get her a respite had been tortured in front of her. She had no hopes of rescue. First Lucius Malfoy, then Narcissa, then Mr. Volkov, surprisingly enough even Greyback and now...

"NO!" Vladimir roared from somewhere in the crowd. His father tried to stop him but he walked ahead.

"Ah yes, young Mr. Volkov! Would you like to do the honours, then? Prove to the crowds that you are a man? C'mon my boy." the dark lord cheered him on. But the rage in his eyes was clearly visible.

"You can't do that to her!" Mir shouted.

"I can and I will. Now you will explain to your son or have him tortured, Grigori." he replied smoothly in his cold voice, his eyes locking with the teal ones of Mir. "And from what I know, my son you would love some revenge on her. So why pretend?" Mir unfortunately enough did not make a move to deny that. The dark lord smirked.

"C'mon Dolohov. Or I will get someone else to do it." Mir was pushed back sternly by his father.

"Thank you, my Lord." The crowd whistled and cheered on Dolohov as he advanced on her. His soft, catlike steps echoed on the floor like the drums of her doom. She tried to get away, but with her weak legs and knees she couldn't move around much before she stumbled and he caught her around her waist. His sleazy hands moved all over her giving a show to the others, he squeezed her bum a bit too hard where she has bruised it making her moan in pain.

His hands flew up to the zip of her halfway zipped up jacket and he pulled down on it. Her arms weren't strong enough to resist the movement he was making her body follow. She tried to push him away in a weak and very futile effort. But his hands flew down to pull at her zipper down her body revealing her bruised shoulders. The cold of the basement bit at her injuries. She tried to move away.

“Please...” she whispered trying to plead with him, appeal to his conscience in some way. Tears ran down her cheeks. But there was no way. No pleading, no crying would appeal to their stoney hearts. His filthy hands gripped her waist and pulled her closer. She knew it was futile to even try to resist. She had no strength left. The potion which Avery fed her last night to help her sustain her brains after continuous use of  Cruciatus had made her movements sluggish. She had no strength left in her weak arms. His dirty hands touched every part of hers, parts no one had touched ever before. Soon enough he too had stripped.

Shine knew her fates were unavoidable. The cackles, the cheers, the whistles and the cold hearted laughter all pushed an icicle through her heart, made her feel helpless. Worthless. She made one last futile attempt to push him back and failed.

                               ****************************************

Severus Snape apparated outside the gates of Riddle Manor. The chill in the air was obvious on the winter night. The locals had long ago abandoned this place that stank of death and ill luck for the Riddle family. The only magical descendant of the Riddles had killed his ancestors in vengeance leaving the old caretaker to take blame for lack of evidence. The screams that sometimes floated over the air were assumed to be nothing but haunted spirits.

No one dared to go near the place lest the bad luck rub off on them. Kids tried to get near on Halloween but we're scolded by the village elders. And so the property lay lonely, abandoned and sad for ages until the wizard descendant responsible for this state of it occupied it. The vines of poison ivy grew on the cracked walls, shoeing some of the brick structure underneath. Rotting skeletons of half eaten rabbits and smaller or even larger mammals lay around. This was the only place his daughter could be. There was no other option. He pushed open the gates of the manor and entered.

Grasping the knocker he knocked. After waiting for a few moments he was ushered inside by the rat. The rat looked at him and gave him a nasty smile. He wondered why, hoping at the same time that she was fine. Wishing only for her safety, nothing more. He followed the rat to the basement.

An ear splitting scream pierced the night air making his hair stand on end. He felt like someone or something had a tight hold on his guys and was wrenching them down. He heard laughter, cold, cruel hearted laughter. The death eaters were all enjoying the performance. As he entered they split to let him go ahead. He noticed Rookwood buttoning up his pants.

“Look who's here, girl. Maybe this will convince you to finally join me.” the dark lord ordered. The small, insignificant form lying on the ground covered in bruises and what looked like it's own blood caught his attention as emerald green eyes looked up at him. Shine! The realisation hit him like a thousand volt Cruciatus. The fear, the hopelessness in her eyes, the bleeding jaw, the cuts all over her body all scared him. Bile rose up his throat. He dropped to his knees in front of her, his arms trying to cover her up but she struggled to back away from him. His heart broke while he tried to calm her down, tried to reassure her he meant no harm but she wouldn't understand, she kept trying to back away.

“Shine, please. It's just me.” he whispered. She whimpered and pushed at his chest trying to claw her way out of his arms, away from physical contact, away from any male touch. Blood and white substance clung to her hair. He moved his hand through them, untangling them in the process and held her to his chest, warming her up. He tried his best to protect his daughter from the perverse, predatory eyes. She hid in his cloak, her fingers grasping it so tight he knew it would be difficult to pry her away.

“Please my Lord, spare her.” he requested. “She is in no condition to comply with you. She is in no condition to think or agree to anything.”

“Very well, Severus. But there is one more thing the girl should see before she makes her decision. Now get away from her. I wish to show her what happens to those who disobey my orders.” he ordered in his high, cold voice.

“My Lord?” Snape questioned eyebrows knitting in confusion.

“Crucio.” the dark lord said in not more than a whisper but the pain was immeasurable. His entire body twisted, needles pierced every inch and hot acid poured in every pore. He tried to resist the urge to scream but couldn't. The pain was too much. He screamed till his throat felt hoarse but the pain wouldn't stop. He felt his head would split with the pain.

“No please. Please, stop. Don't hurt him, please.” Shine cried trying to save him. The dark lord stopped the curse.

“Then join me and all of this will be over.” he offered. Shine shook her head no. His wand pointed at Snape again who grit his teeth and prepared to deal with the pain that was  sure to hit. “Very well, then. You leave me no choice, Snape. Avada Ke-”

Shine's eyes widened in fear. “NO!” she screamed. One corner of the dark lord's mouth lifted. “I will do anything. Anything you say, I will join you. But don't kill him. Please. Don't harm him. I will join you if you don't kill him or the Volkovs.”

“Very well, girl. Stand up and put out your left hand.” he said gesturing me to cover her nudity. I wrapped my cloak around her. “Morsmorde.”

At those words ink crept through her skin forming patterns. It finally settled into the form of the dark mark. Shine bit her lip to avoid screaming so hard it bled. She whimpered a bit as the snake slithered.

“Witches and wizards, I give you Shine Snape. Our newest member.” he grinned cruelly, showing off all his teeth while she leaned on me.
