✨ After receiving ENTIRES from the prompts given in the first writing contest on SHIMMER WRITERS, we're glad to announce the winners.

✨ Only the winning entries will get reviews.

✨ Here are last week's winners;

-First Place: Krona_Vincent

Your story was very compelling. The spellings, grammar  and vocabulary were very professional.

However, we felt the second half of the story was rushed (based on the prompt you chose).

-Second Place: introxoxovert

Your story was honestly captivating right from the start. We loved the addition of humor as well.

Your grammar, spelling and page layout were perfect.

However after a few paragraphs, you drifted far from the prompt you chose.

-Third Place: Mystic_Writer97

You completely followed the prompt and you did it perfectly.

Your story was interesting.

However, punctuations were hardly used, spacing was not done appropriately and you had a few issues with your spelling.

From the entries submitted on the last contest,  we have a few pieces of advice to writers ;

1. Please do your best to work with the prompt given. This is why we offer more than two prompts.

It's advisable to take basic or important elements from the prompts and be sure to include them on your story.

2. Do your best to work on your grammar. Quite a number of entries had issues with grammar. A really interesting story can be ruined due to poor spelling and wrong sentences.

3. Try to be as creative as possible.
