JUNE COMEBACK CRAZINESS!
This June and July is gonna be really hectic for Kpop fans. With Stray kids' first Japanese comeback ever to BTS festa daily presents for armys, from Blackpink's first official comeback after a year to Izone' cute concept comeback and Seventeen's first comeback after coming under Bighit this June is really special for Kpop fans! They are getting unlimited content to watch at quarantine. Its hard to get bored easily now!
Well one thing that the whole kpop fans are still talking about mid june is Twice’s hit comeback earlier this month. More & More marked the start of ‘June comeback craziness'! So today we’re gonna cover Twice’s magnificent comeback!
Twice made a successful comeback in the beginning of this month with their new album ‘More & More'LP which became a massive hit. The self named title track of the album gained much attention from fans as well as non-fans. With its tough yet elegant and graceful choreography Twice has once again proved their title as Korea's one of the top girl groups. This comeback proved to be very special for the once. Many new changes were seen in the girls' looks. Sana's orange wavy hair is hard to take off your mind, Mina's blonde hair which gave her angelic appearance, Nayeon's shoulder length hair which made her look cuter than ever! The catchy chorus, Momo's unmatched dance break, Dahyun's dope Rap skills all contributed to the girls' successful comeback.
Twice has a record for spectacular music videos and guess what? This time again they didn’t let down their fans! The forest-based theme music video shows JYP's (Twice's company) uniqueness. Each member's visual is unmatched. Every member stands out so well. A salute to JYP's hair stylists and make up artist! They did a very good job in making us fall in love with each and every members!
In the start of the mv the girls are seen hanging out in the forest. They seem very relaxed. The camera then flashes to a snake in a tree. They we are taken to Nayeon eating an apple which may imply the forbidden apple that was eaten by Eve in the bible. The snake and apple do give a biblical turn to Twice’s theory. Even the first lines of the song go ‘You know I want it'.
Some fan theories even say Jeongyeon is the evil one amongst them as she’s the only one seen wearing dark outfit.
Tigers are seen wandering around the maknae Tzuyu. Hope the tigers aren’t real ‘cause that might have been a scary experience for our maknae! You can even catch a glimpse of a unicorn in the mv!
The second chorus then drops to a beautiful lake surrounded by ethreal mountains. The girls are seen performing in a glassy shiny piece of land which is breathtaking-beautiful. An arc is seen behind the performing members which add to the beauty of the mv.
The video in the end transitions to a white themed walls, with all the members dressed in white too! Dahyun and Chaeyong’s raps are heard at the end of the mv which is new format of song for a kpop group.
As this comeback defines perfection, it also gained attention with some negative headlines. The music video was earlier accused of plagiarism by an artist ‘Davis McCarty' for using his arc in the mv without his consent. He posted on twitter.
However the way JYP handled the accusation is praiseworthy. The music video director with whom they collaborated for this music video came forward and took responsibility for it. JYP themselves apologised for overlooking the similarities and not only that, they even compensated the artist to make amends with him. However the matter didn’t make a lot of buzz among the fans because the girls were in no position to be blamed.
Although the next headline made by twice during their promotion period of More & More did involve one of the members. When Kpop group comebacks, they have to promote their song in various music shows. The music shows however leave no angles to record the idols' performances. They even release each member’s individual fancams.
However during this Twice comeback, the music shows didn’t release Jeongyeon's individual fancam. It wasn’t one, but almost all the music shows did that. This made the fans furious. They started criticising broadcasting companies for this unfairness. However the matter was not what it seemed to be!
Jeongyeon took to SNS to announce that she was the one who asked the broadcasting companies to do so. Apparently she was suffering from a neck injury and had difficulty doing some moves. She didn’t want the fans to worry about it so she kept it lowkey. At the same time she didn’t want to show them her imperfect performance so she and JYP themselves requested the music shows to not reveal her individual fancam. This professional balance of Jeongyeon has me in tears *sobs*. Hope she gets well soon!
Jeongyeon
Twice's More & More has managed to stir people's heart, struck people in awe of their perfection and elegance.
Twice even revealed this comeback gave them their 100th win since their debut! This for sure is a big celebration for onces!
More & More left it’s landmark as one of the most successful comeback in 2020. For sure it marked the beginning of June comeback craziness! Can’t wait to listen and enjoy more upcoming comebacks! Afterall we kpop fans always want More & more right?

THE WORLD OF KPOP!
When people think of relaxation and down time, the average teen, and even adult gravitates towards music, movies, and TV. Nowadays, there’s a vast spectrum of cultures and languages influenced into pop culture.
BTS
Korean pop, also known as kpop, has taken the world by storm with groups like BTS, EXO, Twice, SHINee, Girls Generation, Red Velvet, A.C.E, SF9, and LOONA, just to name a few. As well as, soloists like I.U, BoA, Rain, Jay Park, HyunA, Lee Taemin, and so many more talents have graced the planet. Their music styles range anywhere from ballads, to R&B, hip hop, a bit of rock, and even adding techno, or hardstyle.
EXO
SHINee
Just as these artists are singers, songwriters, dancers, and rappers, they also produce, arrange, direct, and play most instruments. Showing something new and exciting to the world is part of making it as an artist, and they go well above and beyond in training and practicing for every performance they have planned.
Kpop artists have evolved tremendously in the past few years, reinventing themselves, constantly, while trying their very hardest to outdo their latest album. Comebacks are set sometimes every three to four months, allowing the talented singers and songwriters, dancers, rappers, and more to showcase their skills.
Like kpop, kdramas, which are Korean dramas, have gone global allowing actors and actresses to explode into the industry. Shows like Descendants of the Sun, Healer, Kill Me, Heal Me, Boys Over Flowers, Cinderella and the Four Knights, Oh My Ghost, and Strong Girl Bongsoon, just to mention a few, seep deep into every emotion you feel as an avid watcher.
RED VELVET
Crying with Chae Young-shin, while falling in love with Yoo Shi-jin, or just the overall heartache of uncertainty of loving or hating Gun Jun-pyo has you at the edge of your seat with every spec of your heart in your hands. The acting, on its own, is something almost surreal, but when you get to the core of the story line, you never want it to end.
Unlike most western shows, kdramas are mostly all compacted into one season consisting of anywhere from sixteen to twenty episodes. Of course, there are the exceptions that do tend to go over the twenty episodes, or under the sixteen. Though one season might sound like it isn’t enough, you don’t feel like it’s ever rushed, and get every question answered.
Though listening to a song and watching a movie, or show in a foreign language can sometimes sound a bit strange, once comprehending how utterly extensive the vocabulary and notions are within each lyric and line being spoken, or sung, you’re engulfed and captivated to the point of no return.
I. U
Friendship is something that is so easily built through music, shows, and movies; the feeling of finding someone with your same interests and enjoyment is something so common within the kpop and kdrama fandoms. Fandoms like choice, fantasy, ARMY, EXO-L, once, and more are filled with people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, races, and religions and come together to celebrate the love of their respected artist.
As an avid kdrama watcher, I would definitely recommend scrolling through Netflix or Viki, and start your journey. While you’re out here downloading apps, check out these incredible artists on Apple Music, or Spotify, or even just hit your Youtube app.
