YOU ARE THE BEAUTY AND THE POWER.
You are the Beauty and the Power
Few lil girls, love to brush the Barbie's curls
Few lil girls, love to run and play the ball
Some are their Daddy's lil Princess
Some are their own world's Queen.
Sweet voice, deep shrills;
Fancy dresses or jeans
Brown scars, soft lips;
Pink, purple or turquoise.
If they say, you can't do it
Just close your eyes, let them say it
You are the beauty, you are the power.
You are the dew on the sunflower.
Few young girls, love to put the makeup on
Few young girls, become the defence Major
Some have the girls bff gang
Some only hang out with the men.
Boss, mom and wife;
High heels or pretty flats
Moods swing, emotions lack;
White, grey or black.
You make the half of the world,
Being the models and the nerds
You are the beauty, you are the power.
You are the dew on the sunflower.
You love a woman or a man
You are the Goddess as per his plan
Step up and shine,
For the world only knows to whine.
Put that smile, live for a while
Stand for the right, ignore all those bites.
You are the beauty, you are the power
You are the dew on the sunflower.

THOSE GOLDEN DAYS.
Do you remember those days when you were new to this world?
I too don't remember but my parents have often told.
When I was a chubby baby and was called a cutie pie,
I really didn't understand what they said but thought it was a pleasant Hi.
They would gently pull my cheeks unknown of how much it hurts,
And then take me in their hands resulting in pee or a burst of tears.
How innocent, nothing to care about, we had nothing to show concern.
Those days can never return.
Climbing a mountain of pillows you proved to be tall by touching the ceiling.
You would wear your towel like a cloak and roam the house, invisible foes killing,
Or stick a pink paper star on your pencil and perform unseen magic like a Princess.
At night you would gaze blindly at the sky full of stars countless.
You wished for lots of chocolates and toys when you spotted a falling star.
You would dream to touch the sky by reaching the top of the Eiffel Tower,
And then tuck your head in your pillow after saying Good night to Uncle Moon.
Those days can never return.
You grew a little, that's when you tried all of your "top secret" masterplans.
With your friends, assembled in front of the house of the neighbor that always complains.
Gathering all your courage you lock the main door, ring the bell and run for your life
As if wild dogs were behind you and in a wink, you were out of sight.
During monsoon when you returned home coated with mud and your mom shouts,
You make such an innocent face that before a single tear you are promised treats.
How mischievous, troublesome yet adorable you had been.
Those days can never return.
We would laugh, we would cry,
we would fight and become friends again,
And most important of all we would forget all grudges and stay happy together.
Our world consisted of our home, school, neighborhood, family, friends and our dreams.
Just a minute part of the huge Earth but for us it was boundless.
And now when we are aware of how enormous the real world is,
Still our world is restricted to smartphones, laptops, social media, house and office.
We didn't have enough money for luxuries but Happiness is what we used to earn.
Surely, those Golden days can never ever return.
