Chapter 1
Missing...
"Slapped Ham. Take the park! Critical, the bridge, and Shima. We are going after Hellbent."
It was a stormy night. Dolan and Shima trudged through the woods with their phones in hand. Thunder clapped from above.
"Don't worry Dolan. We will stop him." Shima said as they walked without umbrellas. Dolan frowned and didn't turn to face Shima.
"We don't have any other choice..." He muttered as he felt a vibration in his hand. It was Critical trying to call him. He raised the phone to his ear and answered. "I am here."
"Dolan, I am at the bridge." He stated, his red hood shielding him from the rain.
"Did you find the hostages?" He asked as he walked. His blue hat was soaked and dirty but he didn't care.
"Dude, I can't find anything. No sign of anything unusual." Critical answered. Dolan sneered.
"Keep looking! They half to be there somewhere!" He hung up and soon after Slapped Ham called.
"I am at the park and there is nothing here. There is none of those hostages you mentioned." He said through the phone. He had a small pink umbrella over his head to keep him from getting wet.
Dolan growled. "Keep searching! Hellbent has to have them somewhere." He yelled into the phone. When he hung up the threw the phone to the muddy ground. "I told them exactly where Hellbent put the hostages. I should have just gone to find them myself." Shima sighed and knelt down to pick up the phone.
"They will be found Dolan. Just have faith in the-" Shima couldn't finish her sentence because Dolan suddenly started sprinting deeper into the forest. He arrived in a clearing where he saw Hellbent standing in the middle. Thunder and lighting crashed above their heads and rain pored down on them. Doaln stopped his rush and angrily started at Hellbent.
"Big talk Dolan. This is going to be easier then I thought. You have gotten sloppy while I was away." Hellbent chuckled with a knife in his hand.
Dolan growled and charged Hellbent. He threw several sharp spinning disks at Hellbent as he ran at full speed at him. Hellbent easily dodged the disks and punched Dolan in the gut. Dolan fell down clutching his stomach. Hellbent raised his leg to kick Dolan but before his foot could make contact, Dolan jumped out of the way. As he stood up, he couldn't see Hellbent.
"Where is he?" He whispered. Slowly he turned to see Hellbent behind him. Before Dolan could react, Hellbent punched him in the face, sending him back to the ground. He looked up at Hellbent and grit his teeth. Suddenly Shima called Dolan's name.
"Dolan!" She yelled, out of breath, his phone tightly in her paw. Hellbent turned and started running toward Shima.
"Shima stop him!" He yelled as he stood back up. Dolan spit some blood as he watched Shima looked around. Hellbent ran right past her and into the forest. Dolan tried to run after him but he dissapered into the forest. He was fuming and out of breath. Shima was dumbfounded as she watched Dolan.
Suddenly Dolan grabbed Shima's arm tightly, to the point that it hurt. "What happened!?" He said as he looked straight into Shima's eyes.
Shima was surprised at Dolan's behavior. " Y-your hurting me." She said quietly. Dolan pointed a finger in her face.
"Hellbent ran right by you! How could let him get away!?" He waved his arm out as he waited for her answer.
"But Dolan...there was no one was there..." Tears welded up in her eyes. Dolan softened his expression to surprised and loosened his grip on Shima's arm.
Critical and Slapped Ham met back together at the park. Slapped Ham sneezed and wiped his nose. "I looked everywhere. Maybe Hellbent sent us on a wild goose chase."
Critical nodded. "I ran a complete sweep of the city's missing people files and they had no recorded data for today or yesterday. I think this hostages stuff is just another one of Hellbent's tricks."
Shima caught up with them and got under Slapped Ham's umberalla. "I don't think that Hellbent is behind this..." She said as she sighed.
Slapped Ham turned to her and so did Critical. "What happened?" Critical asked. "Where's Dolan?"
"Dolan...has decided to search on his own..." Shima looked at he ground and sighed. Slapped Ham tilted his head.
"Why?" He asked Shima.
"He said he saw Hellbent. I tried to see him, I really did, but he wasn't there.." She put a hand on her wet arm, the same place Dolan grabbed her. "I have never seen Dolan so angry...so angry at me..." Critical walked up to her and nodded.
"Lets go find Dolan..." He said putting a hand on her shoulder. The began walking out of the park, hoping Dolan was okay.
