Shikamarus pov

I ran up to the hyuga household with flowers in my hands. Ino helped me pick them out last minute. I'm going to have to thank her for that later.

It was raining but I didn't care! The sooner I get this over with the better.

I arrived at the hyuga household. I knew the old man wouldn't let me in so I grabbed a rock and tossed it at his window.

Neji opened his window in surprise "shikamaru what are you doing here? It's pouring with rain!"

"I know but there's something I wanted to tell you" I yelled up at him.

"what is it!"

I took a deep breath "neji I-I think I'm in love with you!"

He stared at me for a second before jumping down.

"neji what are you-" I was cut off by a passionate kiss from neji. It was.. alot nicer than I thought it would be.

We were soaked but happy by the end of it. I guess the feelings mutual!
