"naruto I'll protect you!" hinata yelled shielding naruto from the attack.

No! I can't allow hinata to get hurt. She's too important to me! I rushed in and took the attack for both of them. I felt a stabbing pain in my chest and back. I could hear my family and friends yelling before passing out.

I woke up in a white room. Am I in heaven. I could feel myself laying in a soft bed. I sat up feeling incredibly weak.

"neji your awake!" I was immediately greeted by the teary eyes of shikamaru. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. He's really crying. And over me of all things!

"shikamaru what are you-" I was cut off by a passionate kiss. My eyes widened before I melted into the kiss. It felt so strange...

Yet so good.

Shikamaru pulled away with a gentle smile "promise me you'll never leave me like that again!"

"I promise" I giggled as I lay against his chest. I don't really understand what's going on but I'm just happy to be alive.

And I'm happy to be with him.
