Samantha's P.O.V

Tomorrow night is to the school dance, and today after school, I was planning on asking Kevin to go to the dance with me.

"Hey, Kevin," I said, knocking on his bedroom door.

"Hang on," Kevin said from the other side of the door.

After a few minutes, the door opened up to reveal Kevin wearing yellow pajama pants with orange flames on them.

"Did you need something, Sammy?" Kevin asked.

"Yeah, I was wondering if you want to go to the upcoming dance with me," I replied with a smile.

"Sure, I would love to go to the dance with you," He said.

"Great, well, I'll finish the dishes, then get to bed. See you in the morning," I said, heading back downstairs to the kitchen.

"Alright, good night. Don't wear yourself out doing the dishes; it's already 10:20 pm."

I nodded as I headed downstairs to the kitchen to finish the dishes. I was washing before going to ask Kevin to the dance.

After finishing the dishes, I headed back upstairs to get ready for bed.

While walking to my room, I could hear Lance talking to Kitty on the phone.

"Hey Kitty, how are you this evening," Lance said.

"Lance better not stay on the phone all night," I called out. "Some people want to sleep tonight."

"Yeah, of course, Sam. I promise to keep quiet. Just don't go monster on me," Lance said with a gulp.

"Good," I replied as I continued back to my room.

Once I reached my room. I changed into a pink flowery nightgown and got into bed after brushing my teeth. With one quick check at my phone, seeing no new messages from mom. I drifted off to sleep for the night.

Third-person POV

The next day...

Samantha, Rouge, and Mary were walking together from the parking lot inside of the school.

"So you and Kevin are going to the dance tonight?" Rouge asked.

"Yeah, I asked him to go with me last night," Sam replied. "I figure that it has been a nice way to relax. What about you, Rouge and Mary?"

"Probably not. I might be able to touch you a little better without my powers hurting you, but I still wouldn't be able to touch a guy to dance with him," Rouge said with a sigh. "Besides, I don't even know who I would ask to the dance."

"Alright, I understand your point, Rouge," Sam said. "What about you, Mary?" Sam asked.

"I have only been here for a short while. So I don't even know anyone I want to ask to the dance," Mary said. "Besides, you know there is only one thing I care about, and it's not the dance."

"Fair point," Sam said with a sigh as she decided to continue the walk inside without the twin set of emo girls or whatever you want to call this set of I couldn't care type of girls.

"Those girls are such a pain to hang out with sometimes. She is always complaining about something. Better than ms. Boom, though.' Sam thought, shaking her head.

"Wonder what's got her annoyed," Mary muttered as Sam walked off. "She just with and ditched us."

"Probably the usual case of working too hard," Rouge replied with a shrug.

"Yeah," Mary agreed as they walked inside of the school.

Later that afternoon...

Samantha was currently sitting outside, drinking a bottle of strawberry soda and eating ravioli for lunch. She looked up from her ravioli as she heard a familiar voice.

"Hey, Sammy." Sam looked up to see her boyfriend, Kevin, heading her way.

"Hi, Kevin," Sammy greeted.

"What's up, my love?" He asked.

"Nothing, just eating my lunch."

"I mean, why aren't you hanging with your girlfriends?"

"Oh, Rouge and Mary were being a pain about the dance," Sam sighed as she spotted Rouge and Mary alone talking and, at the same time, sitting at a table behind Lucy Creed and Risty.

"Take it that they aren't interested in going."

"Correct, Rouge, no touching fear. Mary is just interested in destroying Jean."

"I thought Rouge was making progress with learning to keep her powers under control," Kevin said.

"Well she learned how to control her mind and keep there personalitys and memories from taking control, but we haven't figured out a no touch without gloves yet," Sam explained.

"Oh I see guess it make sense why she doesn't want to go the dance tonight," Kevin sated."As for Mary haven't you been working with her revenge issues?" He asked.

"I try working with her in training, but can't seem to get her to listen long enough before she starts talking about taking down Jean again training her is a pain," She sighed.

"Don't worry about them I'm sure things will be fine if we leave them and the others at home," Kevin said.

"Yeah I guess," Sam said turning around as she spotted Risty talking to Lucy.

'What is she planning with Lucy. There must be a reason why she using this appearance still didn't she get what she needed from the mansion already?' She thought looking at Risty.

"Hey everything okay?" Kevin asked.

"Yeah?" Sam replied looking ack at Kevin with a smile.

"Alright was making sure since you seem distracted for a moment," He sated.

After lunch was over both of them headed on back inside for there next class.

After school was over for the day. Samatha couldnt help, but sigh at Boomboom, Fred, Toad, and Petrio making fun of Lance going to the dance with Kitty.

She immediately decided to inogre and headed on upstairs to get ready for the dance tonight.

Samantha ended up putting on a short sleeve dark blue dress with yellow stars on it. She also had on black leggings and red shiny dressy boots.

"Sammy you ready?" Kevin asked knocking on the bedroom door.

"Yeah come on in!" She called out fixing up her hair and pulling in up into a princess style bun.

Kevin open the door and his eyes widened and mouth drop at the site of his girlfriend.

"Wow you look stunning," He commented.

"Thanks Kevin," She said smileing."Are you driving?" She asked.

"Yeah beautiful let's get going," Kevin said grabbing Samatha's hand and walking out of the room.

"Wait for me!" A voice called out.

They both turned to see Rouge wearing a nice orange long sleeve shirt and black pants.

"Rouge what up sister?" Sam asked.

"I decided that you were right the dance could be fun even if I can't touch anyone," Rouge said."So mind giving me a ride to the dance?" She asked.

"Of course glad to see you decide to have fun," Sam smiled at Rouge.

"Then lets get go you two," Kevin said as the three continue down the stairs and out towards the door to head to the car.

"Mary stay out of trouble!" Sam called out as she walked out the door.

"You worry to much Samantha!" Mary called back from upstairs.

"Of course because you burn almost everything," Sam muttered shutting the door as she shut the door.

"Hey everything be fine and if she burns anything. I take care of payments and cleaning tonight," Kevin sated.

Sam nodded and continued to walk to the car with Rouge and Kevin ready for tonights dance.

So this chapter, Samantha, Kevin, and Rouge set off for the school dance. I'm making it a two parter because I felt this was a good length for this chapter after returning from a long break on writing it.
