Chapter 94: Flowers

(Your POV)
After some time explaining my predicament to everyone who doesn't know about it, the rest of my peerage showed up, some even showed up with their families. Pele showed up with Kamapua'a, who was wearing a boar head on his face for some reason. Cernnunnos showed up with a mysterious goddess wearing a hood that masked her face, but I could tell she was humanoid. Natalia explained to them that there was to be no supernatural BS or anything magical going on here. Meaning everyone had to look 100% human, or at least as human as they could look. Coyote was originally going to pretend to be a dog, but Coyote shape shifted into the form of a Native American man in his mid 20's, the same man I met back in the studio in the underworld. Cernunnos and his companion also changed their appearances to turn into an Irish elderly couple. Cernnunnos still wore his wooden mask, but now he looked like an elderly man with dark skin and white hair. Moments later, the doorbell rang and Natalia opened it to reveal Issei's parents.

"Natalia, how good it is to hear you're finally getting married!" Mrs.Hyoudou hugged Natalia, who returned the hug awkwardly. "I'm so happy for you!"

"So are my own parents not going to mention the fact that I was in a COMA for like three months?" Issei questioned whilst tilting his head.

"Oh yeah, that's because I altered your family's memories, so they didn't know you were in a coma." Rias informed the red dragon emperor whilst hugging me from behind.

"Why though?" Issei wondered out loud, but before he could get an answer, Natalia clapped her hands in the front of the room to gather our attention.

"Alright everyone, before I invite my family, we need to pick a place where we can host a wedding." Natalia was taking initiative with this while Asger served tea for everyone, which required a barrel full of tea. "Any suggestions?"

'The underworld is the most economically prosperous of the three factions, so we boast some of the most luxurious hotels, grandest chapels, finest restaurants, and more things your family would enjoy." Sirzechs sounded like an advertisement. "Go ahead, ask your step son, he's been to the underworld on multiple occasions."

"Good idea, but one problem." Natalia was quite possibly the most logical person here. "My family is entirely Catholic, and I'm sure telling them that I'm hosting my wedding in the underworld is bound to cause some...well...bad problems. Plus I'm willing to bet that none of them actually know about the supernatural world. So I'm not sure how they'll react when they arrive in the underworld."

"I agree, so maybe Heaven would be better." Michael joined in the promotion. "We may not have as impressive facilities as the underworld, but we make up for it in our landscape's natural beauty. Getting married underneath the stars in Heaven is an option."

"I don't think Natalia's family would react well suddenly realizing they're in Heaven, since you know, Heaven is basically a good place for dead people." Asger joined in the conversation. "I mean, they might all think they died and began panicking."

"Why not Hawaii?" Jeane gestured towards Pele. "It's amazing there, perfect for a wedding! Plus we have a Hawaiian goddess here!"

"Yeah...that's not happening." Pele had her arms crossed. "Everything in Hawaii is super expensive because the US fucking A pretty much turned it into a tourist attraction. Also apparently some people think (Y/N) is the reincarnation of Maui?"

"Yeah I swam to Hawaii at some point." I shrugged, not that big a deal, I mean, Japan is relatively close to Hawaii right?

"Can you tell them that the reincarnation of Maui is already a member of the hero faction?" Cao Cao questioned, and all of us looked at him with accusing eyes. "What? We recruit heroes! It's in the name."

"Says the leader of the group who kidnapped my mother for no reason!" Kunou was still very mad about that, which is understandable.

"Well...she's not wrong." Georg shrugged, being on Kunou's side on this matter. "Now that I think about it, we honestly weren't heroes back then were we?"

"Look, I admit, I was a dumbass, but I'm trying to do better now."  Cao Cao huffed whilst crossing his arms.

"Was?"

"MOVING ON, any other ideas?" Natalia questioned everyone, hoping to get some ideas.

"Kyoto maybe?" Yasaka shrugged, and all of us thought of the idea for a bit. "It's closer compared to the other options, there is a lot of history and culture there, and unlike the first two, your family will be okay with the location."

"Actually...that's not a bad idea." Natalia takes a moment to think about the idea before snapping her fingers. "Alrighty then, the wedding will take place in Kyoto...now to hope there's a Catholic Church in Kyoto."

"There are multiple I believe, we can talk about it in further detail if you'd like." Yasaka suggested, and Natalia nodded. "Great, how about we make some calls to see if they host weddings."

"So you're not getting a say in what kind of wedding this is?" Kouki questioned whilst looking at Asger, who shrugged. "Doesn't that feel weird to you."

"I honestly couldn't care less what kind of wedding Natalia wants, as long as I'm the one marrying her I'm all good." Asger shrugged. "Besides, I don't have to worry about what my parents think because I'm not inviting them."

"Why is that?" I wondered, I was kind of curious as to who my grandparents were.

"Because they didn't do anything while I was in prison, and they didn't even help me with you, so of course I'd hate them." Asger shrugged. "If I piss them off by letting Natalia decide everything, then so be it. But I'll gladly help if she wants my honest opinion."

After that Natalia, Asger, and Yaska began searching for churches on Natalia's laptop and making calls to schedule the wedding. As for the rest of us? We all began getting things ready. Mwindo took it upon himself to assign everyone jobs, with me getting assigned decorum duty. I wasn't alone, I was also assigned with Cao Cao, Vali, Sairaorg, Saji, and Issei. I was given Sirzech's credit card to spend on materials for decorations. Rias was also assigned the decor duty, but she was going to check out the churches to help make a solid decision. She would also send me a list of items she thinks would look good. Before we left the house, Rias planted a kiss on my cheek, and Sairaorg took a picture while snickering. I kissed Rias' forehead before following my friends to the truck. The truck was a kind that allowed three people to sit in the front, so Vali, Issei, and I sat in the front while Saji, Cao Cao, and Sairaorg were seated in the back.

"So...you and that Gremory girl are dating?" Cao Cao questioned as I started the truck and took off towards the nearest flower store, since flowers are a must for weddings.

"Her name is Rias, and yes we are dating." I drove on the dirt road that led to the main roads. "He is also Sairaorg's cousin, so be careful what you say."

"Just so we're, I never really hated you, I just put on the act like Vali does to make it easier to fight you." Cao Cao admits, but Vali seemed miffed about something.

"What are you talking about?" Vali questioned whilst turning his head to look at Cao Cao.

"No one can actually be as combat crazy as you are in real life, so I knew right away your entire personality is an act!" Cao Cao boasted, only to be met with a creepy aura coming from Vali. "...It is an act, right?"

"Nope."

After that, there was an awkward silence enveloping us as we began approaching the florist's shop. I wanted my own flower shop, so knowing my soon to be competition was high on my priority list. I parked the truck outside and everyone got out, with Cao Cao being careful to avoid Vali. We entered the florist and began looking around for flowers. I understand why Mwindo would select me for this task, since I like flowers, but I'm not too sure about everyone else. Everyone began checking out the various flowers, and I began looking for flowers that would suit a wedding. Maybe white hydrangeas and Roses would work? I looked around and noticed a large amount of white hydrangeas were growing. How convenient.

"Hey look (Y/N), I think this flower goes with my whole crimson dragon thing, don't you think?" Issei was looking at a red dahlia flower, and I could see what he meant by this. "Maybe we should get it for the wedding?"

"Oh please, this flower is much more suitable for the wedding." Vali pointed his thumb at a patch of snapdragons.

"Yeah, well these things are way cooler!" Saji was holding up some pitch black colored violas.

"I like these ones better, plus Natalia likes the color yellow, right?" Sairaorg was eyeing some yellow colored Chrysanthemum flowers.

"Hey, look at these, they're neat." Cao Cao was eyeing some agapanthus flowers.

"Excuse me, what brings you five here today?" A woman wearing a green apron, cream colored shirt, green pants, and boots walked up to us. She was most likely an employee here.

"We're here to purchase flowers for a wedding." Cao Cao explained whilst crossing his arms. Now that she's here, I noticed that Cao Cao's attire might be considered odd. At least Vali and Sairaorg dress normally. "Do you recommend any flowers for an occasion such as this one?"

"Oh my gosh congratulations!" The florist clapped her hands together. "Okay, let's go with these white hydrangeas. They're cheap because they grow rather quickly around here."

"We'll only need a single bouquet." I informed the woman whilst pulling out my wallet, allowing me to get out Sirzech's credit card. In response to my confidence, the five companions of mine looked shocked.

"Are you sure?" The florist asked me, and I nodded without hesitation before picking out a bouquet of white hydrangeas. "Alright then, the total is 10 yen." The florist informed me, and I paid her with the credit card. The florist handed me the card back, allowing me to put it in my pocket. "Thank you for your business!"

After that, we left the flower shop, with Saji still evidently being very confused about my choice. I got into the driver's seat, and this time, Cao Cao and Sairaorg sat in the front. Issei, Saji, and Vali all sat in the back. I started the car and began driving down the road, heading towards an open field.

"So...(Y/N), do you have any memories of that guy you're reincarnated from?" Cao Cao questioned, and I thought for a moment. I did have this one memory. "What was it?"

"I...he...was holding someone, I couldn't hear her name, but I knew right away she was someone close to me...him." I wasn't sure what pronouns to use, so Cao Cao helped me.

"Refer to him as a separate entity, he may be the person you reincarnated from, but he's not you." Cao Cao helped me, and I thanked him. "So please continue, what did this person he was clinging to look like?"

"She looked like Ophis, but she dressed more modern, dyed parts of her hair purple, and looked to be in her early twenties." I explained. "She was dying, easy to tell from the fact her entire lower half was just...gone. Steve tried summoning the Sephiroth Grail, but it wouldn't come to him."

"Who is Steve?" Saji questioned, and I explained that I gave Steve his name to prevent confusion. "Weird name to give to the strongest human in the history of everything, but carry on."

Anyway, he got mad at someone named Yuha, who was...odd." I recalled what Yuha said, he called himself the God of the Bible. "Is it possible that the God of the Bible was a human at some point?"

"Are you implying this Yuha character somehow becomes the strongest angel in existence?" Vali questioned with both his arms crossed. "How would that be possible?"

"Steve said something about creating Yuha's powers and saving him." I recalled. "I don't know for certain, but I think I figured out his ability. Probability or luck manipulation. He stresses 'what are the odds' in a sarcastic tone, implying some form of control over the odds."

"A wild theory, but God is dead anyways, so don't worry too much about it." Cao Cao shrugged. "So is there anything else you learned about Steve? Anything about how the Longinus works or what his goal was?"

"He said he wanted humanity to stand on equal footing with the other factions, but not much else I think." I shrugged, there were still many mysteries surrounding Steve. "All I know is that he lost the ability to summon the Longinus when he gave them to their first users. Not much else about them."

"So that explains why you couldn't use any other Longinus other than ones you're either linked to or physically holding." Cao Cao crossed his arms and huffed. "I am still slightly mad that you stole my Longinus from me."

"I regret nothing." I noticed we were reaching a park, which would work just as well for my plan.

I parked the truck on the edge of the road and got out carrying the bouquet of white hydrangeas. I walked into the park, followed by my fellow bachelors who were understandably confused. I walked into the apparently empty park until I was in the middle of it, and I dug a hole using my hands. The hole wasn't that deep, just deep enough to allow me to bury the white hydrangeas. I covered the hydrangeas in the dirt before summoning a druidic magic circle above the newly planted hydrangeas. All around us, groves of white hydrangeas emerged from the ground all around us until we were surrounded by the white flower. Saji and Issei were caught off guard by this, while the other three examined the flowers with curiosity.

"So that's why you only requested one bouquet of flowers." Vali sounded surprised by my intelligence, and I had a proud sparkle comically coming from my head. "So how are we going to get all these flowers home?"

"...Magic?" I didn't plan that far ahead, I just really wanted to show off my Druidic magic.

"Don't worry, I have a plan." Sairaorg volunteered with a smile on his face, something tells me this might end horribly.

Sairaorg's idea involved him standing in the bed of the truck and duct taping everything to him. Due to him being the heaviest out of all of us, he figured his sheer muscle mass would weigh down the flowers. All of us ripped the flowers out from the ground and put them in the back of the truck. Saji and Vali got some duct tape from the truck and began duct taping the flowers to Sairaorg, who was pretty much t-posing the entire time. We taped the flowers to Sairaorg's legs, chest, muscles, and even head until we could barely see Sairaorg's face through a gap between flowers. We were about to tape more flowers together, but then a little girl and her mother noticed us ripping the flowers out from the ground.

"Look mom, they're stealing flowers from the park!" The little girl pointed at Issei, Cao Cao, and I as we were holding a bundle of flowers.

"It's not stealing if we're the people who put these flowers here in the first place." Cao Cao corrected like an expert on the subject, well he was a terrorist, so I suppose he was an expert on the subject.

"When did you guys plant these flowers exactly?" The mother questioned, clearly suspicious. "We were here yesterday, yet there were no flowers at all. Much less hydrangeas."

"She's onto us." Issei whispered in a loud voice before chucking another bush into the back of my truck to Vali to tape to Sairaorg's thighs.

"We are not legally required to answer these questions." Cao Cao then began running towards the truck carrying his bushes. "Start the truck!"

In response to this, I tossed the bushes into the bed of the truck and jumped into the driver's seat to start the car. Vali and Saji entered the front seats while Cao Cao and Issei dove into the back seats. I then took off, with Sairaorg still in the bed of the truck. He must have a good sense of balance, because even as I made sharp turns, Sairaorg stood tall, unflinching. We made our way home, noticing Rias, Akeno, Kuisha, Ayako, and Yasaka waiting for us outside. I parked my truck outside the garage, and all of us exited the truck.

"Hey guys, did you forget Sairaorg?" Ayako asked before the bushes in the back of the truck began flexing. "Wait what."

"Surprise! I am in here!" Sairaorg shouted from inside the massive amount of bushes in the back of the truck.

"Good to see you got the flowers, but we may need more." Rias examined the flowers. "You can use your Druid magic to summon more, correct?"

"Yeah I can, but let's do that in Kyoto, did you guys get a church yet?" I questioned, and Rias nodded. "Alright, so we should head over there to get everything ready."

"First thing though, we need to send invites to Natalia's family." Kuisha informed us. "Only a handful of them speak Japanese, or at least enough for us to understand them. All the others speak Spanish or English."

"Yo hablo español." I suddenly spoke Spanish, catching everyone off guard because I've only spoken in Japanese up until now.

"How long have you been able to speak Spanish?"

"For a while now."

(A/N: I know I'm uploading a lot, but that's because I want to upload the 100th chapter on September 10th. What's so special about that date? I'll tell you all when I release the chapter. Also, the next chapter is gonna involve a lot of Spanish, so I just need someone to proofread my Spanish to make sure it makes sense. One of you already volunteered, and I am grateful. I'm just getting this message out before the next chapter, since the next chapter involves a LOT of Spanish and I don't want to put all that work on one person.
