Chapter 80: So Begins the Rating Game

(Your POV)
This is it, the rating game between us and Sairaorg.

We were currently waiting in a corridor that was connected to a stadium that looked like the colosseum in Rome, only that this one was roughly the size of an island and had a massive dome on top of it. From our position, we could hear the audience chatter in anticipation. All of us were getting ourselves ready. I adjusted my mask, Rossweisse adjusted her armor, Xenovia was sharpening Durandal, and Rias was planning things out. "Remember everyone, this isn't a real fight, it's a rating game." Rias reminded us in a serious tone. "It will be a fight where people will be watching us, so be careful that none of you get stage fright."

"Understood."

"Now the battle of the century is about to begin!" The announcer shouted despite his face being on a massive screen like a sports stadium, causing the crowd to become riled up. "From the east gate, the Strongest Youth and his peerage make their appearance, give it up for Sairaorg Bael!"

The dome shook with roars from the audience, and I used the binocular vision of my mask to look at Sairaorg's Peerage as he made his appearance. I also scanned each member of their peerage, and due to me getting access to the Devil's version of the internet, I was able to access their identifications within my mask. So far, his peerage consists of nine people. Coriana, Misteeta, Liban, Beruka, Gandoma, Ladora, Kuisha, Regulus, and Sairaorg himself. All the members of his peerage are apparently members of one of the 72 families, but were shunned for being a part of one of the extinct families. All except for Regulus and Kuisha, there was no intel on Regulus, while Kuisha appeared to be from a family of extra demons.

"I-I'm getting n-nervous..." Gasper hid behind me, but he had to be careful, because I was carrying a duffle bag full of military grade guns on my side. Why do I have those guns in the first place? Well they were for Mukuro, who retired, so she gave them to me.

"Imagine everyone here is wearing a blindfold and earmuffs, that usually helps." I suggested while thinking about what relic should counter which piece, I'll most likely have to use the Rock Paper Scissors method. Power crushed defense. Defense outlasts speed. Speed dodged power. And so on. It's way more complex than that, like magic, technique, trap cards, and such.

"From the West Gate, you know them, you love them, one of her pieces probably punched your grandfather, it's Rias Gremory and her peerage!" The announcer shouted, and I wondered who punched the grandpa.

All of us entered the arena to the sound of a roaring audience, cheering our names. I looked around and found our group, with Ravel waving some pom poms in the air, Irina waving around a banner, and Ayako holding up a sign with Onihime that read "𝔖𝔱𝔞𝔟 𝔞𝔩𝔩 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔟𝔦𝔱𝔠𝔥𝔢𝔰' ' in old English font. As for Unohana, she was sitting next to them with fruit snacks ready for us. The battlefield itself appeared to be a series of floating islands, fitting for the city. There were some large floating islands, large enough to be a battlefield, but the vast majority of the rocks were small and just hovered around the area. It was like being inside an asteroid belt. I noticed a snake-like bridge leading from our current position to a large floating island with chairs for us to sit in, some kind of pedestal/table thing with a golden bowl on it. There was also a magic circle in the middle of the island, one used for transporting. I looked down to see a large marathon field. I wonder what kind of rating game this would be? Would I have to fly?

"Now that we've introduced everyone, let's go over the rules!" The announcer decided to take up more time to explain the rules. "First Phoenix Tears, these tears are a precious resource that can heal anything when used, but thanks to the Khaos Brigade, all the factions needed more Phoenix Tears, so they became more expensive. So we were originally not able to obtain them. Thankfully, Lord Phoenix was kind enough to provide Phoenix tears for this special occasion, so each side only gets one bottle of Phoenix tears."

"Wait, aren't Phoenix Tears from that game series with the four men wearing black teleporting around and summoning weapons?" I wondered. I saw that game in an advertisement before.

"Best not to think about it." Akeno recommended I don't think too hard about it, and I decided to go with the flow on this one.

"Next up, there's a special rule to the game!" The announcer then announced the special rule to this specific game, kind of like Diodora's game. "Let me clear this up right away; this won't be the kind of rating game where pieces run around and fight each other on sight. Instead, the kings will send their pieces into the battlefield for matches."

"Great, I'm already at a disadvantage." I specialize in chaotic warfare, like guerilla warfare and bar fighting, in fact, I never really used a distinct fighting style. I just beat the guy in front of me up.

"How will these matches be decided?" The announcer pointed at random people in the audience. "I'm so glad you asked, dear viewers!"

"No one asked though..."

"In the golden bowls at each base is a piece of six sided dice, and that is how the pieces will be decided." The announcer continued explaining. "Each king will roll the dice in the bowl, and the two results will be added to tell the kings who they can send out. For example, if Rias rolls a three and Sairaorg rolls a two, then they can each send out a piece with a total point value of 5. So how do you know which pieces you can send out? Well their values are simple; Knights are 3 points, Bishops are 3 points, rooks are 5 points, and the Queen is 9 points. As for pawns, it varies from how many pieces that pawn is. Like a single pawn piece is one point, while eight pawns is eight points. As for the individual kings, Sairaorg is worth 12 points and Rias is 8 points."

"Wait, what does that make me?" Connla asked the announcer, who most likely couldn't hear him. "Unlike Rossweisse, I'm only in (Y/N)'s Peerage, and I'm a 5 of Wands."

(A/N: Just a reminder; Xenovia and Rossweisse joined Issei's peerage as a knight and a rook cause (Y/N) was put in charge of it.)

"Then you'd be worth....1 pawn piece, anyways a word for our sponsor, Raid Shadow Legends." I decided not to listen to the announcer because I knew what that game was. If I know what it is, then the Antarctic knows about it.

"Wow, I was hoping I would at least be a bishop." Connla crossed his arms, and despite his sunglasses covering up most of his face, I knew he was upset.

"Remember Connla, supernatural organizations only measure raw power or the power of one's sacred gear." I reminded Connla while placing a hand on my allies' shoulder. "You're a support/wizard type of combatant, so while you won't get much attention, people will certainly be hindered by your absence."

"I suppose you're right, let's just hope the person I'm sent out with is someone who can take a hit." Connla prayed silently as I turned my attention back to the screen with the announcer.

"Some extra rules is that the same person can not play twice in a row, gotta keep things fresh! Now without further adieu, let the games begin!" The announcer's face was replaced with two profile images of Rias and Sairaorg, when they got the pictures is a mystery I will possibly never solve. Oh wait, it's their driver's license photos. There were suddenly numbers spinning underneath them like one of those casino slots. At the same time, Rias and Sairaorg rolled their dice. Once the dice finished rolling, the numbers stopped to reveal Sairaorg rolled a one and Rias rolled a two. "Looks like the total points are three, so would the kings choose which pieces they're sending into the field. You have five minutes!"

"Okay, I think we can all agree to send Kiba out first." Rias gestured to Kiba, who nodded, and I agreed to this full heartedly. "We can only send out a Bishop, Knight, or Connla. Given how Connla and our bishops are support types, that leaves the knights as our only options. Given how Xenovia would be put at a disadvantage against a Bishop, it would be wiser to send Kiba out."

"I'll do my best to not let anyone down." Kiba bowed slightly before stretching. "So I wonder who I will be taking on."

"Unfortunately, we can't see or hear what our enemies are planning, and we don't exactly have many resources to do research with." Rias sighed, and I could tell she wanted to talk to me, but she was giving me the silent treatment, so she couldn't.

"Actually, we do have something to work with." I pressed a button on the side of my mask, and a holographic screen showing an image of Sairaorg's peerage appeared in front of everyone. On the image, small profiles of each piece appeared. "Before the game began, I connected my mask to the devinet, allowing me to scout ahead. Given Sairaorg's previous fights, it is highly likely that he will send out Beruka, the knight in silver armor. Beruka is skilled in lancemanship, horse riding, is capable of creating clones of himself, summoning more lances through his horse's mane, and is currently single."

"Thanks for the warning, I'll be able to plan a counter." Kiba thanked me as he walked into the magic circle.

Before Kiba teleported to the battlefield, the battlefield changed into a large plain biome covered in grass and hills, it would have been serene if it wasn't going to be used as a battle arena. In a flash of light, Kiba appeared on the battlefield at the same time as Beruka, who was riding a horse. In response to Kiba's sudden appearance, the female members in the audience cheered for Kiba. "I consider it an honor to fight against the legendary Kiba of house Gremory, may the better knight win this match." Beruka appeared to be a noble knight, it feels weird fighting against nice people like this.

"I consider it an honor to fight against you as well." Kiba created a sword in his hand. "Fighting against a knight of house Bael is an honor for me as well."

"The first round begins...NOW!" The announcer shouted with excitement, and the moment after the bell rang, both the knights disappeared. They were so fast, I couldn't even see them, but I could see the sparks clash between them, so I knew they were fighting. Over time though, my eyes adapted to allow me to see wat was going on. Beruka and Kiba were circling around each other, and Kiba appeared to be at a disadvantage. Everytime Kiba tried cutting down the horse, Beruka used his lance to parry the sword swing. Everytime Kiba tried cutting down Beruka himself, the horse moved out of the way. It was the perfect combo against Kiba, that is until Kiba caused several swords to appear from the ground, exactly like Jeane's sacred gear. Don't tell me Kiba is using 'that' now. Unfortunately, Beruka's horse managed to leap an impossible height...wait...it didn't jump...the horse is running in the air. Kiba was at a mobility disadvantage, so he summoned a thunder sword in his remaining hand and used it to summon a bolt of lightning to strike down at Beruka, however, Beruka launched his lance upwards to absorb the lightning before it hit him. Weirdly enough, Beruka reached into his horse's mane and somehow pulled out a second lance; it looks like that mane is another dimension entirely. Kiba got rid of his lightning sword to summon his Holy/Demonic sword, which is a sword imbued with holy energy. Kiba got into a stance while Beruka's horse jumped into the air, but as it did so, multiple clones appeared around him. All the clones lunged at Kiba, causing the knight to get pierced in his sides and shoulder, but before Beruka could land the finishing blow, Kiba tossed his regular sword aside to summon a second holy/demonic sword. Kiba used the two holy swords together to create a holy aura around himself, forcing Beruka to make his clones disappear and forcing the knight back.

"I was hoping to save this until the end, but I suppose I have no better options." Kiba dismisses his holy/demonic swords to summon a holy sword, this one is more powerful because the demonic energy is missing, making it raw holy power. "Balance Break."From the ground around Kiba, multiple holy swords emerged, alongside a number of knights with helms that resembled a dragon. The knights grabbed onto the swords and raised them up all in sync. "Glory Drag Trooper."

"Glory Drag Trooper?" Rossweisse looked at this and tilted her head. "I thought his balance breaker was the sword of the betrayer."

"Kiba uses two sacred gears, his Sword Birth is already known, but the second one is a subspecies of Blade Blacksmith, the same sacred gear Jeane uses." I answered. "Apparently, he obtained it after the Kokabiel incident, but he's only learned how to use it recently. He can only use his balance breaker while using a holy sword, but luckily, he became capable of using them without harming himself. What's more, all the speed Kiba uses...the knights can use as well."

"How do you know this?" Akeno questioned in curiosity, and to that I simply shrugged.

"Kiba told me he felt something was off, I scanned him and saw he now had two sacred gears, and we trained to help awaken his new balance breaker." I answered bluntly. "He told me because I was the only one with the technology to see if it was actually two sacred gears."

After I explained that, Kiba and his numerous knights disappeared in a flash, and Beruka was hesitating at first, but he soon followed suit. Beruka summoned more of his clones and they engaged in one to one battles against Kiba's knights, but now I could see a clear difference between their arsenal. Beruka was clearly tiring himself out from summoning so many clones, while Kiba was comparatively okay. It was one a matter of time before Beruka was quickly defeated by Kiba with a sword slash to the chest. Beruka fell off his horse because of his injuries, but before he hit the ground, a brought light enveloped the knight before he disappeared, and his horse was gone too.

Darn it, I really wanted to pet the horse.

"The winner of this match is Yuto Kiba of team Gremory!" The announcer shouted with enthusiasm, and the women in the audience cheered loudly.

Kiba was teleported back into our little base where we congratulated him for a job well done. Kiba sat in a nearby chair where Asia healed him, and I pulled a bento from my duffle bag. "You need to keep your energy up." I reminded my friend as he took the bento.

"Thanks guys." Kiba thanked us before the announcer decided it was time to announce the next round.

Just like the previous round, Sairaorg and Rias' driver's license photos appeared on the screen with the numbers spinning below them. Sairaorg rolled a four and Rias rolled a six, making the total number of points available a ten. That means I can be sent out along with someone else. I'm pretty adaptable, so I can go with whatever flow my enemies send at me. "Rossweisse, Koneko, you two will be fighting." Rias ordered.

"Huh? I would have guessed that you'd send (Y/N) out." Connla pointed out, and I agreed.

"(Y/N)'s greatest attributes are his ability to catch his opponents off guard and sheer endurance, which surpasses even Sairaorg." Rias answered, and despite her not talking to me, she didn't want me to get seriously injured. "So in order to do that, we have to make sure we use him as little as possible."

"If that's how it is, then I'm guessing they're going to send out Liban and Gandoma, the remaining knight and one rook" I guessed, given how the terrain is a shrine. "Liban is a skilled swordsman with the sacred gear known as Gravity Jail, which can control gravity, another reason why Rias should send me in. Gandoma on the other hand...is effectively me but without magic or tricks."

"Isn't Gandoma the guy who looks like a rock?" Xenovia asked, and I nodded to this.

"According to his Kingstagram account, he is insecure about his appearance, so please don't bring it up around him." I suggested as the two girls nodded. "Are you two ready?"

"I'll do my best (Y/N)!" Rossweisse had a determined glimmer in her eyes while she gave me an awkward thumbs up. Well, the cute kind of awkward, which Rossweisse seems to embody to a T.

"If it'll make (Y/N) happy, then I'll win no matter what." Koneko promised with a small bow as she and Rossweisse walked onto the magic circle, disappearing and reappearing inside the battle arena.

I noticed right away how the arena looked exactly like the place where we fought against Diodora. There were pillars, a fancy floor, a long rug, and it was dark in there. Why is everywhere we go super dark? Rossweisse and Koneko appeared at the same time as Liban and Gandoma, exactly the pieces I predicted he would send out.

"Hmph..." Gandoma was quiet as he glared at Rossweisse and Koneko, giving how Gandoma was taller than even I, it was kind of weird to remember that both he and Koneko are the same piece.

"Gandoma is pretty shy, but he wants to say 'good luck', even though you're his opponent." Liban spoke up for the rocky giant beside him. "I wish you two the same."

"Oh, thank you, I wish you guys luck as well." Rossweisse wished her opponents luck.

"Let the second match begin!" The announcer shouted with excitement in his voice, and right away, Koneko decided to go all out. Koneko covered her body in a white aura called touki, an application for senjutsu. Koneko's cat ears popped from her snow colored hair as two white colored cat tails emerged. Koneko launched herself at Gandoma before delivering a solid punch to the man's face, and Gandoma didn't even look phased by this. Still, I turned on my mana vision on my mask, my mana vision allows me to see the magic flow within a person's body, which looked like veins but varied in color from person to person and glowed. I looked at Gandoma's magic flow and noticed how the area around Koneko's fist was disrupted and tangled. Gandoma didn't appear to notice this and used his massive arm to knock the girl away. Rossweisse on the other hand had a large amount of magic circles behind her like cannons ready to fire. All of the magic circles launched forth a barrage of magic projectiles. The impact caused smoke to emerge and block everyone's view. Unfortunately, Gandoma is indeed like me, and his durability allowed him to withstand the blast.

"Is it me, or am I always getting stuck fighting the super durable ones?" Rossweisse questioned in a somewhat annoyed voice.

Suddenly, the ground around Rossweisse's feet was starting to crack and Rossweisse was forced to kneel. Someone was increasing the gravity around the girl. Who else could it be but Liban? Who activated his sacred gear, signaled by his eyes glowing like Gasper's. Rossweisse tried making a Norse magic circle to counteract this sacred gear, but Rossweisse's foot was suddenly enveloped in ice before she could counteract it. Liban then charged at Rossweisse, so the valkyrie tried another tactic. She changed her magic circle so it produced a massive amount of light.

"Mirror!" Liban created a mirror in front of himself to block the light away from him. "You must have already figured out my sacred gear's weakness relies on my eyes, but I've already learned many counters to any trick you may try to pull."

"You know, I learned something while working alongside my leader." Rossweisse smirked as she was suddenly enveloped in a white light. "It's that there's always a way to catch your opponent off guard, you just need to find it."

In a flash, Rossweisse and Gandoma switched places, so that means Gandoma was under the effects of Liban's sacred gear, confusing the man. Rossweisse and Koneko stood together, side by side as Rossweisse summoned a wide variety of magic circles once again. I thought it wasn't going to work, but then Rossweisse asked Koneko something.

"Koneko, has your attack gone through completely?" Rossweisse questioned the small nekomata.

"Yes, I disrupted the huge man's aura so his defense against magic will be close to nothing." Koneko answered, and in response to this, Rossweisse fired all her magic circles directly at Liban and Gandoma.

The two devils could only watch as the barrage of magic hit them dead on, creating more smoke. The smoke dispersed after a couple seconds to reveal only Liban was there, but where was Gandoma? My question was quickly answered by the sight of an oversized shadow appearing behind Koneko with his hands raised to try and strike the small girl. Only problem was that Gandoma was also covered in bruises, burns, and scars. He finally gave in to his injuries and began falling forward, and Koneko noticed the collapsing giant too late. Koneko tried dodging, but the lower half of her body was soon crushed, and I even heard an audible crack.

"...I can't feel my legs." Koneko states in a perfectly monotone voice. "I guess that means I will retire."

"Yes it does...I won't say anything about this to the others." Rossweisse promised, even though all of us witnessed the scene before us. "See you after the game."

"See you too."

After Koneko said that, both she, Liban, and Gandoma disappeared in a flash of light, leaving Rossweisse alone in the arena before Rossweisse was summoned back into our small base. I gave Rossweisse her bento and Asia began healing her. At the same time, the next match was already being set up by the rolling numbers once again. Sairaorg rolled a five and Rias rolled a three, making the total points an 8. I'm curious as to who Rias will send out. "Eight points...Gasper, Xenovia, you two are up."

"W-Why m-me?" Gasper was still hiding behind me, is everyone going to hide behind me like a wall or something?

"Because Xenovia's weakness is that if she misses, then it could be disastrous because she uses up a lot of stamina." Rias suggested. "You can freeze people in place, so Xenovia can hit them easier."

"Connla, you're to assist them." I ordered my 5 of Wands, who understood. "I want you to help Xenovia and Gasper with mobility while also taking care of projectiles that could harm them. Can you do that?"

"I can, but how effectively I do so is decided by the environment." Connla informed me. "If it's an open area like Kiba's fight, then I would be at a massive disadvantage. If it's somewhere like Rossweisse's fight was, then I could wipe out the enemy in seconds."

"Let's hope that it is somewhere that you can work with." I wished I had the Ultimate Lucky Students' luck right now, but then again, the third year's lucky student keeps going on about hope and creeps me out, so I don't talk to him much.

The arena was now some kind of rocky wasteland with large boulders, cliffs, mountains, caves, and more rocks scattered around the area, and at first place this may seem like a disadvantage, but we can possibly turn it into a fair game. "Connla, you see the boulders and loose gravel scattered around the arena?" I pointed at the large piles of rocks. "The lights are angled in a way so shadows will always stretch out towards the North, and by absorbing some of the rocks within one of the caves, you can control the cave."

"Nice plan, wish me luck." Connla joined Xenovia and Gasper in the magic circle, causing the three of them to become enveloped in a white light before disappearing.

The three of them reappeared on the battlefield, followed by Sairaorg sending out two pieces. I recognized them as Misteeta and Ladora, Sairaorg's bishop and rook. I took a moment to think, and I realized this could get bad incredibly quick. Misteeta has a sacred gear that allows him to seal off special abilities while Ladora is from the Bune clan, so he can control/turn into a dragon. It would have been better for Rias to send me out, but I have to have faith. Connla may not be powerful, but he's skilled.

"Hm, three against one, we could be at a disadvantage, but I'm sure we can win this." Ladora commented while crossing his arms.

"For Lord Sairaorg, we will." Misteeta, despite his figure, was apparently a boy and liked cute things. Maybe he and Gasper would get along after this game.

"Be careful, I may only be worth a single pawn piece, but I won't let (Y/N) down." Connla spat back as the announcer officially began the match.

"Let the match...BEGIN!"

Right after the match began, Gasper turned into a series of bats and Connla jumped into Xenovia's shadow. Xenovia unsheathed Ex-Durandal and it began releasing powerful waves of raw holy energy, the waves were strong enough to cut even the nearby rocks. Both pieces jumped back to avoid the holy aura, and Misteeta used his staff to shoot out purple flames that were directed at Xenovia, but before they could reach her, Connla forced a shadow to emerge in front of the knight, swallowing the flames before the flames shot at Ladora from his own shadow.

"Take out the knight first!" Misteeta shouted, Ladora got in front of him before taking his shirt off for some reason.

A purple and creepy aura began covering Misteeta's body as an orange aura covered Ladora's. Before I could guess what was going on, Ladora began growing and transforming until he was in the shape of a massive, copper colored dragon. Xenovia tried cutting the dragon using both the holy aura, Durandal's blade, and Solais. Ladora's transformation wasn't just for show evidently, his body was durable like a dragon's as well. I knew that Xenovia was going to try using the Durandal cannon, but using it takes time to charge, time that could leave her vulnerable. "Gasper, Connla, I need some time!"

"Roger that."

"A-Aye!"

The bats that Gasper transformed into began flying closely to Ladora's eyes, blocking his view to prevent him from attacking. Xenovia raised Durandal into the air, but unfortunately for us, creepy markings began appearing all over Xenovia's body, andI knew right away that the source was Misteeta, who possesses an unnamed sacred gear. "W-What, Durandal isn't responding?!" Xenovia suddenly dropped the blade, but before it hit the ground, Connla absorbed it into the shadow before making the hilt of the sword appear from the darkness.

"That sacred gear is called Trick Vanish." Connla informed Xenovia. "It's a sacred gear that allows the user to seal any power they want, but the price is that it consumes massive amounts of stamina. So much in fact, I'm amazed the bishop is still standing." Connla then noticed how the bishop was wobbling, struggling to keep his balance. "Or perhaps not..."

Ladora swatted away the bats as he walked to where Xenovia was and raised his foot above her, before stomping downwards. Ladora raised his foot, only to see nothing but rubble was there. Luckily, Connla managed to suck Xenovia into the darkness and transported both himself and her behind a nearby boulder, where Gasper appeared as well. "Sorry guys, it appears I'll be useless for the fight..." Xenovia sounded depressed, Gasper suddenly pulled Xenovia's arm.

"A-Actually, I know a couple ways to r-remove curses." Gasper pulled out a small red vial full of Issei's blood, since Issei's blood boosts Gasper's powers thanks to Ddraig, and some chalk.

"Wait, that's the red dragon emperor's blood, don't you need it in case you're in a pinch?" Connla pointed at the vial while looking at two two opponents.

"D-Don't worry about m-me, I-I'll buy you s-some time." Despite his stutter, Gasper has a determined expression on his face while he draws an unfamiliar magic circle around Xenovia. "O-Once the curse is l-lifted, charge your D-Durandal Cannon."

"I'm not letting you go in alone." Connla placed a hand on Gasper's shoulder. "We're doing this together." Connla then took a breath in. "Night Reflection Death Cross!" Connla's body became enveloped in shadows while two glowing holes signified his eyes. "Let's do this, Gasper."

"R-Right!"

Connla sank into the darkness behind the rock before more demonic flames appeared before Misteeta, burning his cloak a bit while also catching the bishop off guard. Gasper could be seen rushing towards the two pieces as Ladora began charging up a fire breath attack, and in response, Gasper created a defense magic circle in front of him to act as a shield, but unfortunately it shattered up coming into impact with the dragon's breath. Gasper was sent back with scorch marks all over his body.

"I-I don't w-want to hide a-anymore..."

Gasper was determined to see this fight through, and he turned into a swarm of bats to fly to the dragon's arm. Gasper turned back into his normal self shortly after before attempting to bite into the dragon's scales to drink some of it's blood, but unfortunately, Ladora grabbed Gasper with his other hand. Ladora crushed the small vampire using his massive body before throwing Gasper's crushed body down onto the ground, causing cracks to appear in the ground. Before the dragon could stomp on him, a boulder appeared from the darkness of Ladora's massive shadow to catch him off guard, allowing Connla to grab onto Gasper and move him away.

"Sorry for making you fight alone like this, you were braver than any member of the hero faction." Connla complimented the small vampire as he held the small vampire. "I just needed to gather some things, so you can rest now." Gasper was suddenly becoming enveloped in the soft white light that signaled that he was going to retire.

"I w-won't go d-down without a f-fight..." Gasper looked at the dragon and mage before his eyes glowed red, freezing them in place.

"Thanks Gasper!" Xenovia, now free of her curse, rushed towards the two frozen opponents.

Ex-Durandal was in its attack form and with the blade raised. Xenovia swung the blade down, causing a massive pillar of raw holy energy to cover our opponents and the entire area behind them. Gasper then disappeared, signaling that he had retired, but the good news was that our opponents were nowhere to be seen, and the announcer declared this fight as a Gremory victory. The next match was already underway, as the numbers began spinning once more.  Rias rolled a three and Sairaorg rolled a two, making the number 5.

"I'll go out." I volunteered as I stretched my arm. "I haven't been idle in the last month, so I'd like to show off what I can do."

"Then go ahead, but don't go all out." Rias warned me, and I nodded as I adjusted my fingerless leather gloves.

Gasper, Koneko, you two fought bravely, I won't let you down.

(A/N: I had to split the content of Sairaorg's rating game into pieces to get all this content down. Why didn't I just streamline through it? Well Sairaorg is the patron saint of chads, and he's honestly my favorite antagonist in the entire series, I even based the MC off of him. I'm not going to point out what, since you guys can most likely figure out what qualities I used.
