It was the night after my trip to the convention, and I was staring at an abandoned factory made entirely of metal. Rias' peerage, Issei's peerage, Irina, an unfamiliar person, and I all stood in front of an abandoned factory, since there were reports of suspicious activity happening in there. I was wearing what I liked to call my combat outfit, which is my military uniform, clown mask, and selkie coat around my waist. As for the unfamiliar man, he looked to be from Indonesia, was tanned, signaling he spent a lot of time outdoors, brown eyes, had short yet messy black hair, and looked to be slightly older than me. His attire consisted of a leaf green colored t-shirt, khakis, sandals, and a leaf green headband that wrapped around his head. He had a hunting rifle slung over his back, a hunting knife at his side, and some kind of knife in his hands. "Everyone, this is Sangkuriang, he's a candidate for my peerage and will be assisting from time to time."

"Nice to meet all of you." Sangkuriang bowed in a show of respect. "You all can just call me Sang, just as a kind of shortened version of Sangkuriang. Also, (Y/N), I brought this kris for you, the Taming Sari, since you might need it."

"I appreciate the offer, but I already have Gae Bulg and Genbu, you on the other hand only have a hunting rifle and a knife, so it would be wise for you to use it instead." I suggested with a calm expression. "By the way, I thought you used a bow?"

"I did, and it's not a special bow, so it broke one day and I decided to get a rifle." Sang commented as Rias walked towards the door.

"(Y/N), can you place one of your charges on this door?" Rias asked, most likely not wanting to cause a scene by using her magic.

I used my cloak to block everyone's view of my hand while I pulled out a steampunk disc-like object with a seal face plastered on the middle of it. I stuck the back of this charge on the wall, making the seal face look at us. Steam shot out from all around the disc before four rods emerged from the disc, the rods from the disc suddenly stopped emerging to spew forth fire like blowtorches. The rods all spun around the disc until there was a massive hole in the door. Then the charge went back to its normal state and I picked it up. "I'll go in first." I activated the thermal vision of my mask, since it was dark inside, and I could tell the factory was pitch black inside. "Shall I summon some of my lanterns?"

"Summon ten, have seven light up the floor where we will be standing, but have three light up the upper areas so we're not caught off guard." Rias ordered, and I took off my cloak and waved it in front of me, blocking everyone's view and allowing me to summon several lanterns.

The lanterns had an odd design to them, they were fashioned like those koi lanterns, but honestly, slightly more terrifying. Their heads were made of steel, and their eyes were installed with cameras to allow me to see what they see through my mask. The bodies of the lanterns were no better than steel rib cages, which allowed a glowing yellow crystal to light the area, lighting up the whole area. The lanterns also hovered thanks to their tails, which were infused with some anti-gravity magic and are able to move thanks to small engines I made. "(Y/N), thanks to these things, I'm never sleeping again." Issei pointed out, but I commanded the fish to light up the area.

"Hey (Y/N), you feel that?" Sang asked while unsheathing the Taming Sari, and in all honesty, it was a beautiful sword. "Four people." I looked around the factory, and there were four heat signatures, one of which was quite a distance away.

"You came quite fast." A man wearing all black appeared to come from the shadows, so this guy had shadow manipulation as a power. "As expected of the devils."

"The Hero Faction of the Khaos Brigade, I assume you're the ones who have been causing problems around town?" Rias asked, and the man smirked confidently. "My name is Rias Gremory, heir to the title of Lucifer, and it's my duty to protect this territory."

"Oh I know, our goal is to purify devils and save this town." The man in black pointed out, in response to this Sang and Irina looked at each other and shrugged.

"I must ask that you come quietly." Due to the small nature of this room, I decided to only limit myself to my Lauer.

From the shadows, two more people emerged, and now that they weren't hiding in the shadows, I was able to see them more clearly. One of the figures was a man wearing sunglasses, another was a man wearing a red colored Chinese-style outfit for royalty, both of them were foreigners, but I can't put an accurate assumption as to where they're from. I was limiting my inventory to prevent collateral damage, since collateral damage will reveal our location and possibly our identities to the people.

Issei shot forwards with his thrusters in an attempt to strike at them, but all three managed to dodge the strike by jumping into various directions. I got my Lauer at the ready and aimed it at the man in all black, this was an experimental bullet, meaning it's just there as a kind of test without infusing it with magic. I fired a bullet at the man in all black, the sunglasses fellow, and the man in red in rapid succession, but the shadows rose up to absorb the bullets midair. Issei also fires a smaller version of dragon shot towards the man in red, but a shadow absorbed the impact as well. Kiba appeared above the man in black to attempt to slash at him with a holy sword, but a shadow absorbed the sword, and the sword appeared behind Kiba to slash at him, creating a small scar.

"So his power is the ability to control shadows huh?" Sang asked while cracking his neck. "Who do you want me to go after?"

"I am not suited for leadership, but I would advise you stay on the defensive until we have more data." I suggested before catching three bullets that were sent towards me from the shadows. "Wait, what about Issei's dragon shot?"

I turned around and noticed a shadow sent a dragon shot towards Asia, so I stomped on the ground to create a wall made of rock to absorb the impact in Asia's stead, protecting the smaller girl. I then ducked to avoid three arrows made of light, and I looked at the source to see some guy had a bow made of blue light, it must be a light weapon, only Issei (when he's using his balance breaker) and I are immune to light damage, so it's best if I take him on as soon as possible. I then dodged another set of arrows, and I saw on the opposite side was the man wearing sunglasses, this time with a green bow made of light.

"Looks like we have two light based sacred gear users on either side of us." Rias pointed out, and Rias faced me. "(Y/N), Issei, Sang, you three take on the shadow user."

I nodded my head and used my selkie coat once again to pull something out of thin air, one of those cameras that dispenses images right away, and I took pictures of the two bow users, the guy in red (who uses fire apparently), and the shadow user. I grabbed all four images and made my camera disappear, so I replaced it with my guitar. I struck a chord on it, and a large lightning bolt appeared above the shadow user to attempt to strike him down, but a shadow rose up to absorb the lightning instead, and he attempted to redirect it at Akeno. Sang used his powerful leg to jump towards the ceiling, where many steel chains were hanging, and he pulled one down to redirect the lightning attack towards the chain. I got an idea as to how to defeat this guy.

"Issei, when I say so, I want you to focus all your boosting power into my lanterns." I ordered my friend whilst sliding my guitar over my back and preparing my Lauer once again.

"Sounds good." Issei and I began circling around the shadow user while Sang jumped over to a nearby window and aimed his hunting rifle at the shadow user, waiting for his time to strike.

Issei charged at the shadow user and attempted to punch him in the stomach, but the shadows absorbed the fist and made it reappear from my shadow, so I responded to this by grabbing onto Issei's fist as he pulled his arm back, and I was absorbed into the darkness. Once I was in the murky abyss, I let go of Issei's hand and looked around me, it was pitch black, but it's was just what I'd expect, it was also like being in the murky abyss of the sea, so I turned into my seal form to increase my swimming speed. I waited until Issei or Sang attempted an attack on the shadow user, and that's when it came. I saw an opening in the abyss that was like the shadow was distorting, and it revealed a single bullet and the man in black. I used my swimming speed to swim towards the man in black where I emerged from the shadow, much to the man's shock and horror.

"Issei, now!" I commanded whilst undoing my seal skil to go back into my human form, and Issei sent all his power into my lanterns, which were connected magically, so boosting the power of one will cause all of the others to share that power.

The lanterns surrounded us and the yellow sources of light inside them glowed a brilliant yellow color, and it was so bright I needed to adjust my mask's eyes to be more like sunglasses in order to see. This was my plan, if the man has no shadows to work with, then he can't avoid my strike. I decided to punch him using a martial art I created using Neo Aikido, normal martial arts, and magic. An glowing blue/green ethereal fish appeared around my fist, covering it like a gauntlet as I delivered a punch to the man in all black, sending him into a massive steel machine that looked to be covered in rust. The contact caused dust, but I still summoned several ice spikes from the ground and pushed my palm forwards, causing them to pierce forward and hold the man in black in place by pinning his clothes in place and almost going after his throat.

"Nice job Issei." I complimented my friend while looking around me, then I hid my hand behind my back and pulled out the Crimson Javelin. "Now that he's taken care of, we can focus on everyone else."

"So are you not going to mention the fact you could have died while doing that?" Issei pointed out, and I shrugged. "So what was it like in there?"

"A murky abyss, pretty weird all things considered." I threw the crimson javelin at the green bow user and then summoned my akimbo grimms behind my back. "Besides, I will not die just yet, I have too much ammo to use."

I shot myself towards the man in red using a magically enhanced kick and aimed both my guns at him. I fired my bullets at him, but the flames managed to melt them, so I infused all my bullets with the cloud element and shot them upwards. The bullets made contact with the ceiling, they exploded in a thick cloud of smoke, and bits of shrapnel began falling from the cloud like rain. The man in red used flames to melt the shrapnel into melted metal, Kiba used this moment as a distraction to stab the man in the stomach forcing him onto his knees while I injected a paralysis poison into him by turning my finger into a needle.

"Kiba, should we use Vajra?" I asked the blonde, and he nodded. "Great, get the Napalm Swords ready." I outstretched my left hand, and rooting robotic prongs emerged from either side of my arm, making it look like a black bow was inserted into my wrist. A slot ran along my arm, and the slot was there to knock the swords into place, allowing me to control their trajectory better. A neon blue string connected the edges of the two prongs, just like a normal bow, but my left arm was being used as a kind of tube, where the string comes in through two slots on the top and bottom of it while a slot on the side allows me to put the sword in the tube. Kiba handed me a sword designed to behave like a Napalm bomb once I shot it, so I took aim at one of the archers. "I don't advise getting too close to them."

I shot the first sword at the man with the blue bow, who shot several more arrows at me, and he appeared to be able to control the arrows he shot at me, but that didn't matter, Sang managed to snipe all of them out of the air using his hunting rifle. The sword let out a light whistle as it soared through the air towards it's target, hitting the ground right in front of him before exploding into a mass of flames and smoke, luckily, I managed to create a wall of earth to protect everyone from the flames. Despite this guy being just a human, the sword didn't kill him outright, instead, it severely burned most of his body. Kiba handed me another sword and I aimed it at the other guy with the green bow, who had the sense to try running away, but I aimed my bow carefully so it wouldn't burn him, but instead breeze by him and blow up a couple meters away from his face. The flames filled the passageway he was trying to escape from, but it just burnt him severely, but no deaths. "(Y/N), when did you and Kiba develop that?" Rias asked as I scanned the area.

"I just gave Kiba a diagram of a sword I wanted him to make, which is actually several swords of different elements, carefully arranged to be one sword that is pretty much a Napalm bomb." I answered, and I noticed the shadow user is missing. "Current results; three captured, one escaped. The shadow user escaped."

"I guess it can't be helped, (Y/N), you need to extract their sacred gears." Rias ordered as Xenovia, Koneko, and Kiba began dragging each unconscious member towards the center of the room.

"Wait, won't taking away their sacred gear kill them?" Sang asked as he jumped down from the open window he was perched on. "I don't really care about sacred gears and all that, but still."

"You see, taking away a sacred gear is honestly more like taking away an unimportant organ within the body." I summoned steampunk style hoops that were roughly the size of my palm, and had my signature smiling seal on a charm connected to the hoops. "They can live without it, but it'll be harder. It's the process of getting it out that kills them, unless that process is done carefully and precisely." I put a hoop on the chest of each unconscious person.

Using magic, the glowing orbs that represented sacred gears slowly began emerging from the chests of the fallen, and the glowing orbs were perfectly within the center of the hoops. In response to the sudden appearance of the sacred gears, the eyes on the seal began glowing, and a soap-like substance began emerging from the rings of the hoop, filling it like it was a bubble wand. While the sacred gears emerged, then went through the soap substance, becoming covered in a single bubble on their way out, l controlled the bubbles to fly close to me while I picked up the devices and made them disappear.

"Let's head back home, I heard my father tried making something from Natalia's mother's cookbook." I suggested, and everyone agreed, but Akeno suddenly started clinging to my arm. "Um, Akeno, is everything alright?"

"Yes, I'm just incredibly excited for our date tomorrow~" Akeno smiled as per usual, scratch that, her smile was different. For once, it reached her eyes, and I could have sworn I saw stars in her eyes. Unfortunately, Rias started clinging to my other arm possessively. "My my, Rias is getting jealous."

"Wait, is (Y/N) a harem protagonist or something?" Sang asked, and Issei explained to him what was going on.

"Yeah, and we all place bets on who's gonna win and become the wife." Issei points out, and he held up a list. "Place your bets now."

"Who's Rossweisse and Kuroka?" Sang asked, and did Issei seriously put Kuroka as a possible option? Well, I don't despise her or anything, but we're enemies right now.

"One is a Valkyrie that should be living with us once she finishes her errands, whatever that means, and the other is one of our enemies." Xenovia explained while putting Durandal away. "Rossweisse is a possible candidate for (Y/N)'s Peerage, like you are."

"So why is (Y/N) taking those sacred gears?" Sang asked while pointing at the orange, blue, and green sacred gears that were in the air thanks to my bubbles.

"I could use them as resources when forging my own sacred gear, since these are around the lower tier, they should be easy to use compared to powerful ones." I explained as we left the factory in silence, that is until Rias spoke up again.

"So Sangkuriang, Why did you kill your father?" Rias asked, and that was a deep subject. "Some sources say you did it out of desperation to please your mother, but others say it was an accident."

"HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THE DOG WAS MY DAD?!"

(Rossweisse POV, Egypt)

Of all the errands I had to get, I got the one that sent me away to Egypt.

I was currently in a prison for supernatural criminals, this isn't a prison for people like Kokabiel, it was more like a prison made to keep people contained, like Anansi for the murder of Nothing, or for petty like drinking. I was currently wearing a business suit as I followed the security guard, walking past several cells with a variety of different folk villains in them, and even some folk heroes were in there because of things like robbing a convenience store. Good news for them is that they'll get released within a week. My mission was to find one of (Y/N)'s potential pieces, but I'm curious as to who he could want if they're here. I wonder if (Y/N) will accept me, maybe then we'd get to be closer and do activities together. Like sparring together, I can help him with his studies, assist him on his sacred gear project, maybe go on long walks with him, be his shoulder to cry on, maybe watch movies together and hold hands...Rossweisse you indecent woman. Now is not the time to be thinking such lewd thoughts. As I walked through the corridors, I noticed an odd figure standing in front of a cage. His attire reminded me of a businessman, black coat, white dress shirt, dress shoes, and black pants. He was Egyptian and looked to be very professional, the only real oddity about him is that he wore an ankh instead of a tie and had the head of a sleek black jackal. This was clearly Anubis.

"Forgive me Anansi, but I am not negotiating with the officers to let you out early. You killed Nothing, and now you must reap what you sow." Anubis crossed his arms while I passed by him. "You there, white haired girl, you have some sort of connection to (Y/N)?"

"Eh? How did you know?" I asked, and Anubis adjusted the button on his wrist, this is the power of a god for you.

"(Y/N) sent all of us he thinks are promising letters, and with those letters, we were able to figure out his magic signature." Anubis explained. "His magic is like the sea, wild and it happens to linger on those he's close to, and you happen to have some of it."

"Why are you curious about (Y/N)?" I asked, I never met Anubis before, so he could try to harm (Y/N).

"You see, he sent Anansi a letter of recommendation, but Anansi still has to serve his sentence until he overcomes his envy, so he won't be able to help." Anubis explained. "In his stead, I will go and assist (Y/N) in every way I can. Besides, I have a friend who's joining him, so it sounds fun."

"I understand, I was sent here to grab Anansi, but I suppose bringing you is okay." I agreed to bring Anubis along, since it would mean I go home to (Y/N) faster, and Anubis is pretty honest from what I've heard. "Okay then, I suppose you can come with me."

"You like (Y/N), don't you?" Anubis asked whilst crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow. "You turn slightly pink whenever you mention him."

"W-Well, I just think he's sweet is all."

"Whatever you say."

(A/N: Anansi WAS going to be a member of the peerage, but then I remembered, I'm VERY arachnophobic. On a scale from 1-10 on the arachnophobia scale, I'd be 25 quintillion. Like, I couldn't even finish a book because it went into detail about a spider. So yeah, the 6 foot 6 giant who listens to death metal when having a mental breakdown and challenges god on a daily basis is scared shitless of spiders.
