Chapter 29: Student Council

(Your POV)
All of us arrived at the ORC clubroom to begin our day, and I was currently reading through a gun magazine. My desert eagle was destroyed back when I was engulfed in that flame pillar attack, and the .44 magnums are Mukuro's, so I gave them back to her. My father agreed to get me another handgun because handguns are easy to conceal, and they're sometimes cheaper than other guns. I was sitting on the couch as I read, with Koneko looking over my shoulder.

"Do you think Mr.(L/N) will buy me a gun to shoot Issei with?" Koneko made it clear that she didn't like Issei in the slightest, and I sweatdropped a bit before answering.

"Koneko, please don't take advantage of my father's kindness, he only agreed to get me a gun because my old one broke." I explained as I flipped through the pages, and my personal picks are the M9 and Glock. "Speaking of my friend, where is he?"

"We have exams coming up, so Issei's studying alone." Kiba explained as he sharpened his sword. "Plus he's gotten surprisingly serious about training, which seems out of character for him."

"Speaking of training, we all desperately need to get stronger, so we'll be going to hell for the break." Rias stated, and then looked at me. "(Y/N) is the only person here who has at least tried being serious about his training, and look how far he's come."

"Sorry to interrupt." Sona poked her head into the room, followed by a familiar figure I had mixed feelings about seeing again. "Everyone, I would like to present to you the new advisor to the ORC clubroom."

"Hey guys, miss me?" Azazel asked, and I noticed rather quickly that his missing arm was now back on him, seemingly injured, so I examined his arm and poked it. "Oh hey, Ultimate Immortal, how's it going? Or should I call you (Y/N)?"

"Please call me (Y/N), why do you guys call me 'Ultimate Immortal' Anyways?" I asked a question that's been bothering me. "Also, I thought you lost your arm?"

"We just call you Ultimate Immortal because it's kind of the only title you have, and it would be unfair to you, who's worked your ass off, to call Issei 'Red Dragon Emperor' for doing nothing." Azazel explained before his fingers came apart like tendrils. "Also, this is a prosthetic. The fallen angels back home commented on your handiwork, they said it was a little rough and rugged, but it gets shit done."

"I appreciate your concern, but please do not worry about my feelings, they were meant to be trampled on." I answered in my usual blunt tone, and Azazel's arm went back to normal. "So feel free to just call me (Y/N)."

"Damn kid, are you okay?" Azazel asked, rubbing the back of his neck a bit. "Your feelings matter, so just don't treat them like that."

"I apologize for causing you concern, due to a lack of healthy outlets for emotional abandonment and neglect, I have developed this feeling as though I don't deserve anything." I explained.

"Kid, there's this thing called a therapist I think you should go to." Azazel suggested as he handed me a card. "Just saying, by the way, where's the perverted idiot?"

"Issei is currently training, since he can only hold his balance breaker for ten seconds." I answered, and Azazel looked like he lost all hope. "How long can Vali last in his balance breaker?"

"About a month." Azazel explained, and for once, I lost hope. "Say, how long can you last in a fight?"

"Before I became a devil, I'd say about a couple weeks, but I have never really tested how long I can last now that I became a devil and became honest with my selkie side." I answered with my arms crossed. "The best I can do against Vali is hold him off, but I can fight him if I can use the terrain for an ambush."

"That's only assuming you're well equipped for the task, (Y/N) talk to me when you're done here, I have some things to help you against Vali." Sona then left the building just as Issei walked into the room, and was surprised to see Azazel here.

"Why is Azazel here?!" Issei panicked and hid behind me instinctively, given how I'm the defender of this small group. "Also, why is his arm back?"

"Prosthetics, and Azazel is apparently our new club advisor..." Rias glared at Azazel with venom in her eyes, and everyone silently agreed not to put her in an even worse mood.

"By the way, with the current way things are, all of you will most likely die if you take on the Khaos brigade, Vali's group." Azazel pointed out as he sat in Rias' desk and placed his feet on the desk. "So all of you need to train like your life depends on it, because it does."

"Nonsense, we have the unstoppable combo of (Y/N) the tank, the Great Oppai Emperor, and Gasper!" Issei gestured towards the small vampire in question, who sat on the other side of me. "My Boosted Gear plus Gasper's Forbidden Balor's View makes us an unstoppable force!"

"Forbidden Balor's View eh?" Azazel looked at Gasper curiously, and I grabbed Genbu from behind the couch and slammed it in front of Gasper, preventing Azazel from looking at the small vampire, all without looking up from my magazine. "Hate to break it to ya, but that sacred gear is kinda useless."

"U-Useless?!" Gasper shouted in distress, and I reached into my bag to pull out the seal plushie and hand it to Gasper for him to hold.

"Since you're the most experienced person here, mind giving us some advice?" Kiba asked, which wasn't that bad of an idea, but I was still looking through the magazine. "I can only hold my balance breaker for an hour."

"Better than Issei, but try to get it up to a couple days." Azazel stated, and now I could feel his gaze focus onto me. "(Y/N), you have the most potential out of everyone here because you use firearms and explosives, try expanding your inventory a bit, or at least find a way to carry more things. You have a lot of potential as a kind of long ranged piece, unlike magic, a sniper rifle has immense range."

"Eventually I'm going to reach a point where people can block my bullets, what about those opponents?" I asked, and Azazel pulled a sticky note from his pocket, and it appeared to be a spell formula.

"You seem capable of combining bullets with elements that are under the category of ocean." Azazel explained as he held up several of his fingers. "Those elements are water, ice, mist, steam, earth, sand, lightning, cloud, wind, salt, lava, and life. I would also recommend finding a way to fight using this Ocean Magic of yours, these elements are all incredibly useful in controlling the battlefield."

"Understandable." I looked at the sticky note, and it contained a magic circle and the message 'copy this magic circle', not sure what it's for, but whatever.

"By the way, Akeno, are you still suppressing that Baraquiel blood of yours?" Azazel turned his attention to Akeno, who didn't look too happy about Azazel talking about Baraquiel.

"I reject that man as my father, it's thanks to him my mother is dead." Akeno actually sounded mad for once, and I was in shock because I have never seen her mad before.

"You know, he didn't say anything when you decided to become a devil." Azazel stated, and Akeno was silent, signaling she was thinking about what Azazel said.

"He had no right to intervene with my choices." Akeno finally said, and I noticed this was a tough issue for her, so I reached behind the couch I was sitting on and grabbed her hand to show she wasn't alone.

"Excuse me, Azazel, could we change the subject?" I requested politely, but still firmly. "Akeno clearly doesn't wish to talk about it, so I'm requesting that we change the subject."

"Alrighty then, Issei, (Y/N), how about I give you guys advice on harems?" Azazel had a confident gleam in his eyes, while I just sweatdropped, but it did change the subject. "My advice will be pretty valuable, because I've had harems in the past."

"I'm listening." Issei stated, trying to look cool, despite that being scientifically impossible for him.

"I have more pressing matters to worry about, like equipment, magic, and exams." I informed the two, holding in my annoyance because getting annoyed will not solve anything.

"You can make the girls happier."

"I'm in."

"Wow, no hesitation." Azazel then gave us a little backstory. "You see, I know all this because groping breasts lead to my downfall of becoming a fallen angel, virgins should never compromise on the erotic. Wait, are you guys virgins?"

"Yep." Issei and I answered at the same time, and Azazel didn't look surprised about Issei, but he was surprised that I was a virgin. "Is that actually how you became a fallen angel though?"

"Yes, Azazel became a fallen angel because he often 'mingled' with human women." Rias informed us as I felt her hands cover my ears, but I could still hear because of my training. "Also, (Y/N) doesn't need to work on making us happy, he's already doing it and doing his best already."

"Besides, his 'member' is big enough to satisfy all of us without much effort." Akeno blurted, and I used both my hands to cover my face in embarrassment.

"Either way, all of you better get used to me, because I'm going with you all for the summer training session!" Azazel announced as he wrapped his arm around Issei and stood up. "Besides Rias, you have a conference coming up in hell, yes?"

"We do, and it's more than a conference, it's a custom where hiers to old families will battle each other in resting games." Rias informed me, and I raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "Before all of that though, we have exams to take care of."

"Do devils really need to take exams?" Azazel asked, and Rias nodded. "Well that's dumb, why don't you guys just skip the exams?"

"Because if we did, some classmates will start to get suspicious why we don't need to take exams, namely people in the Talented Course." I explained, removing my hands from my face. "If they get suspicious, they'll look into us, and in the best case scenario they end up joining us, in the worst case scenario we have to kill them."

"Oh right, those friends of yours." Azazel rubbed the back of his neck in an aloof manner. "Probably a good idea, since all of you guys together genuinely scare me."

"With that said, I have to go see what Sona needs."

(Timeskip, brought to you by Azazel noticing Genbu, and looking very curious about it.)

I arrived at the student council room and opened the door to see that neither Sona, Tsubaki, or Saji were there. I didn't really know anyone on the student council except for them, so I awkwardly walked up to a rust headed girl with twin tails in her hair. She was a bit distracted with filing some papers at the desk to notice me, but I noticed a name tag on the desk that read 'Tomoe Meguri', which must be her name. "Excuse me." I called out, getting the girl's attention. "Sona asked me to come here today."

"Oh yeah, Sona told me to keep an eye out for you, and now here you are!" Tomoe appeared to be very hyperactive, but I suppose energy is useful in the student council. "Sorry to say this, but she's talking with your classmate, Onihime for crashing into a window."

"I understand, Onihime is reckless from what I've seen..." I thought back to all the times before I became a devil where Onihime had accidently landed on me. "So is it alright if I come back later?"

"Sona should be back in a couple minutes or so, so you can feel free to stay if you'd like." A white haired girl suddenly walked into the room, along with a blue haired girl who was carrying some boxes.

"Okay then, I guess I'll wait." I awkwardly looked around the room as the blue haired girl set the boxes down, and the boxes were honestly quite large, I wonder what they're for.

"So I take it you're this (Y/N) fellow Sona has been talking about?" The blue haired girl spoke up after she set everything down on a nearby table. "Name's Tsubasa, the white haired girl is Momo, and Tomoe's the red haired girl. Sona's taken quite an interest in you."

"Nice to meet you, but what do you mean by that?" I asked, I don't think I'm important enough for someone like Sona to care about. "I'm pretty average."

"Actually you're pretty popular in hell in general, you're the only person crazy enough to take on supernatural beings with modern technology!" Tomoe pointed out, and now that she mentions it, I haven't seen anyone else use any firearms. "Though at some point, you're going to need to change your weapon, there are people out there who can block and dodge bullets."

"What if he makes bullets dangerous to touch and much faster?" Momo suggested, and my attention was focused on her because it's not a bad idea. "Though the spells that affect bullets are limited..."

"(Y/N) is a smart man, I'm sure he'll figure something out in History." Sona walked into the room, followed closely by Tsubaki. "I apologize for being late (Y/N), I needed to get a list of everyone's talents and how they utilize them?"

"Wait, you got notes from the first and second year classes?" I asked as Sona handed me a notebook, and I was amazed to see she got almost everyone. "Thank you so much, but why did you decide to help me?"

"I got everyone except for Yozakura and Taka, so their talents aren't in the notes." Sona explained as she walked towards the table with boxes on it. "As for why I'm helping you, you managed to hold off Vali for five minutes without using a sacred gear, so I want to help you the best I can, and to do that, I decided to give you access to better equipment and more skills."

"Better equipment?" I asked as Sona thanked Tsubasa and opened up the boxes to reveal high-grade military equipment. "Where did you get all this stuff?"

"Originally, they were going to be Mukuro's, but given how she's given up on being a soldier, we decided to take it into storage." Tsubaki explained as I picked up a P226 MK25 Sig Sauer. "To help you better, we also enhanced some of the robots with magic to either keep up with you, remain undetected, or a wide variety of options."

"Robots?" I wondered out loud before Sona opened another box to reveal a four legged robot about the size of a mule with six large backpacks on it and a camera in the front. "What is that?"

"A robot designed to help carry equipment, such as explosives and ammunition." Sona explained as the camera of the robot scanned me. "Tsubaki and I used magic to increase its agility, and it can also provide a barrier when you give it the command. The exact name of this robot is 'Mule'."

I was most impressed with the Mule robot and MK25, but due to this originally going to Mukuro's equipment, there was much more stuff. There was a Barrett M82 sniper rifle, plus some ammunition. To ensure I don't run out of bullets, Sona gave me the contact information of a devil who could make ammo for me. There was also a drone like the ones you'd see in stores, the only difference was that this one was completely silent, could turn invisible, and I was able to control it via an app on my phone. My favorite so far is an eye patch that doubles as binoculars combined with heat vision, x-Ray, radar, and also allows me to see whatever my drone sees. There are also more other things, like EMP's, smoke bombs, mini cameras that stick to surfaces and also work via app, C4's, grenades, a tactical shovel+axe combo, gas bombs, razor wire, miniature radar, landmines, and other equipment that would usually be used by soldiers.

"I am grateful, but are you sure giving me all this stuff is necessary?" I asked, examining the M82 in my hands as I aimed out the window, checking the scope on it. "Sure I can fight against Vali for a surprising amount of time, but still."

"Vali is the strongest member of the Khaos brigade, and you managed to last against him thanks to your military training, so we're arming you the best we can to prepare you against other members of the Khaos brigade." Sona explains, but Tomoe appears to have a cat-like expression on her face. "With all this equipment, you should be able to rival the Red Dragon Emperor's power when he uses his balance breaker, most likely even his juggernaut drive."

"I think she's just giving you all this stuff because they were collecting dust in the storage closet, and we were getting tired of hiding it from the staff." Momo pointed out. "Since Mukuro is officially done with military stuff, we thought we should give it to you."

"Here I thought it was just Sona giving some gifts to the person she likes." Tomoe jokingly poked at Sona's cheek, and the student council president turned a light red color, please don't tell me she likes me too... "Now that I see him for myself, I can see why."

"I am forever grateful for your generosity, Lady Sona." I was grateful for the gifts so I bowed in respect of her authority as a high class devil. "I will use my tools to protect everyone the best I could."

"As grateful as we are to hear that, we still have to go against you in a rating game later this summer at the conference." Tsubasa informed me, I stood to my full height once again. "It will primarily be for training, and the devils there hired some high grade healers, so don't worry about us."

"I understand." I sighed, knowing I'll have to hold back on moves that are made to kill people, which is a surprising amount of techniques of mine. "I wish you the best of luck during those rating games, but know I will not hold back to win."

"I wouldn't expect anything less than you."  Sona smirked, and I tried mimicking her expression, but it was just a crooked line, causing Sona to giggle a bit. "In all seriousness, after the rating game, I'd like to get to you better, how about a game of chess."

"I'm not the smartest guy, but I'll try not to let you down." I said as I left the room with Mule carrying most of my new things, since I decided to carry the Sig, and Mule walked pretty smoothly.

I ordered for Mule to go back to my home, and it proceeded to walk off on it's own after I told it my address. I pulled out my phone to see Issei texted me, telling me that we're having a study session at a restaurant, he forgot what it's called, but he told me it's the one with huge meal servings and snake ornaments. I told him to meet me there, and I left the building. I decided to look through the manu of the restaurant and saw that they were hosting an event to see who could eat one of the largest servings there. I was rather hungry, and I usually eat more than everyone in ORC, so I wonder if I could use the event.

Wait, I should probably tell my father our newest roommate is a robot with explosives.

(A/N: I know (Y/N) should be focusing more on his magic, but magic is useless on Vali, so we have to use the next best thing, firearms and a fuck-ton of explosives. As for why Mule is a thing, well his book bag has a limit, it was designed to hold books, not landmines, so Mule is going to serve as a backpack. By the way, his powers and abilities are a pun. Navy Seals are elite soldiers in the US military, and (Y/N) can turn into a seal. Get it? They're both soldiers and connected to seals in a way?
