"Asia, you know I trust you, but are you sure I must remain blindfolded?"

"Yes, or it will ruin the surprise."

Asia was dragging me by my hand down what felt like a dirt path that held plants on either side, moving slowly so I didn't fall. I was wearing my wetsuit since it was Friday and I planned to look for muscles or crabs for dinner tonight. In case you were wondering, I always skipped school on Fridays so I could fish for more food, since on the weekends I go into town to buy supplies I need and help out around town. So I was pretty confused when Asia approached me today with a blindfold while she wore a sundress that looks like it was one good tug away from falling off. As I walked down the dirt path, I began to feel something...sand. The more I walked forward, the more sand I felt under my feet. I could also hear someone yelling stuff in spanish, which I didn't understand because I was born and raised in Japan. Then I realized the voice was Natalie, and she only spoke in spanish when she was pissed. However, she was quickly hushed, leaving me in awkward silence once again. Asia stopped leading me, so I stood still. I could hear her footsteps walk around to my back and untie my blindfold. Once the blindfold came off, I was temporarily blinded by the noon sun before my eyes adjusted to see everyone was standing in front of me, with the exception being Asia.

"Surprise!" They all shouted, confusing me for a moment, but then I noticed Issei holding up a sign saying 'Happy Birthday!'.

"Oh right, it's my birthday..." I mumbled to myself in amazement, I completely forgot about my birthday, yet these people remembered it for whatever reason, so I bowed my head. "Um...thank you for remembering me..."

"Of course I did, I'm trying to be a better father ya know!" My father seemed enthusiastic enough for his art style to change into a chibi-like form. "Natalia also wanted to be a good mother, and I'm happy to know your friends care about you enough to celebrate your birthday."

"Speaking of which, how old are you turning?" Akeno asked as she walked towards me wearing a light blue t-shirt hoodie along with a pair of green bikini bottoms.

"I'm 18 now..." I raised my head to its full height, and I had to look down to talk face-to-face with Akeno. "Why?"

"Isn't it normal to ask how old you turn on your birthday?" Akeno grabbed the bottom of her shirt and was about to pull up, but Natalia stopped her.

"Oh no, you and Rias are changing right now." Natalia was no bullshit as usual, an her swimsuit consisted of an orange one piece and a see through shirt. "Have some shame!"

"I don't know Mrs.(L/N), they seem alright to me." Issei was quickly met with a pair of sandals striking his forehead.

"Mono pervertido, does no one have any shame!" Natalia then pointed her fingers at me, Kiba, Asia, and Koneko. "You four are angels, so you're okay."

"Mrs.(L/N), they don't have any spare swimsuits...so they kind of have to wear what they have." Kiba informed my step mother, who looked mortified, but I had no idea what the big deal was because Akeno and Rias were covering their swimsuits.

"Fine." Natalia accepted Akeno and Rias' swimsuits as she walked towards my father, who was walking towards the water with a bright pink flamingo floatie. "But if you two do anything to (Y/N)'s innocence, I will beat you two senseless."

With that said, Natalie picked up an already inflated toucan floatie and joined my father, who was waiting for her at the ocean's edge. As the two began swimming off, the girls began taking off whatever they were using to cover up their swimsuits, like Akeno's shirt, Rias and Asia's dresses, and Koneko's t-shirt. When I saw what was underneath, I could feel my face turn bright red, because Natalia was right, they were revealing. Akeno's swimsuit was a green bikini that was much too small on her, but it did cover the important bits and that's what matters. Rias' on the other hand was one of those purple V-shaped swimsuits, it was stretched out and barely covered anything important. Asia's was much more innocent, being a normal blue bikini with frills and a skirt. Koneko's ,on the final part, was a simple white tankini. As for us boys, Kiba wore a black speedo, Issei wore a pair of red swim shorts, and I had my black wetsuit with (f/c) tiger stripes and my parka.

"So (Y/N), do you like what you see?" Akeno teaser as she pressed her body up to mine, and I could smell lavender, as well as feel her chest press up against mine. "Feel free to be honest, and it's a shame you didn't bring a more revealing swimsuit."

"I think it suits you." I averted my eyes to look ANYWHERE else other than Akeno's chest. "Also, I have a pair of swim shorts on under the wetsuit, so I can just take this off..."

Oh?" Akeno seemed genuinely pleased to hear this, even backing away from me. "Please do so~"

I reached for the back of my wetsuit's zipper and pulled it down, revealing my torso and (f/c) swim shorts. I felt kind of embarrassed that the girls were staring at my regular (for a bodyguard) body. I looked around to find a place to set my wetsuit, revealing that we were the only ones on the entire beach. Plus the thick tropical jungle behind us didn't allow anyone to see us. I also saw the lighthouse I lived in, revealing that the port was on the other side of the bridge of land that the lighthouse rested on. I set my wetsuit next to an umbrella that had a couple towels next to it, since it was Rias'. Speaking of the devil, she sat on one of the towels and began reading a book. Issei tossed a beach ball at my head, which didn't hurt in the slightest, but it did catch me off guard. The ball fell to my feet and I picked it up, causing Issei to wave to me as he was running competitively towards the water.

I decided to join my master/best friend in the water along with Kiba, and the three of us effectively reverted to the age of five by throwing the beach ball around and making sure it didn't fall in the water. Since I didn't have any conductors for my magic other than my body, the three of us decided against using sacred gears. Despite this, we all put in our best effort to make sure the ball did not fall in the water, which was up to our waists. Issei lost almost instantly because Akeno and Rias' entire existence was a distraction to him. Leaving things between Kiba and I, he had speed but I had endurance. Unfortunately, he won because Rias and Akeno called me over to the umbrella, so I was disqualified, causing Kiba to win. Curse my desire to help people. So I walked over to both of them, who were now resting on their respective towels.

"Can I help you?" I asked, honestly not really that salty about the beach ball thing, it was a fun game.

"Yes, Akeno and I were planning on sunbathing, and we were hoping you would put sunscreen on our backs." Rias was doing one of those 'romance story' tropes or something, but I didn't care, I was happy they remembered my birthday in the first place.

I took the sunscreen from Rias' hands and crouched between the two girls, both of whom now lied on their stomachs. I put some lotion on my hands while Akeno undid her top, still keeping her chest covered thanks to gravity. I started off with Rias since she asked first, and I noticed that she still had her swimsuit on, well it's not one of those where you can take off easily like Akeno's. Luckily, some of Rias' back was exposed thanks to her...'physique' as I like to put it. I rubbed the lotion as gently as I could, but I still remained firm, getting some moans in the process. After an awkward couple of minutes, I finished the first back and moved onto Akeno's. I did nothing different, yet this girl moaned even more. After a VERY awkward couple of minutes, I finished and stood up to begin leaving. I was about to go in the waters to swim, but Asia and Koneko needed help building a sandcastle.

Since it was a fun activity, I decided to help the two girls by fetching buckets of water whenever they needed some. Asia wasn't was rough as me and Koneko, so she handed some of the more...building things while Koneko and I often dug the trenches or got the supplies. While digging a hole through the main building of our little castle, Koneko and my hand met in the middle. The two of us looked at each other awkwardly before I initiated a kind of underground handshake, causing Koneko to smile slightly from my awkwardness. We finished the sandcastle an hour or so, and then my father called us over for dinner, since everyone ate lunch before coming here. Dinner were simple sandwiches that Natalia made in secret last night. All of us decided to eat on a large blanket that my father brought, since there were no chairs or anything else to sit on. Akeno and Rias sat on either side of me as we ate, and suddenly Natalia handed me a strange box covered in paper.

"What's this?" I asked as I held the box, the design of it was a series of pumpkin, and I personally found it pretty.

"It's a present, Tonto." Natalia teased as I looked at this 'present' thing. "You're supposed to open it."

Following her orders, I found the tape and gently undid the paper until Issei told me I'm able to just tear it open. I tore the paper off and was about to put it in my pocket, but my father pulled out a plastic bag for me to put the trash in. When I tore off the wrapping paper, I was met with a white box. I opened the box and was met with a leather rope necklace that had a strange design on it. It looks like a person, but it also didn't. I was appreciative of the gift for certain, as evident from me holding it at the sky in amazement.

"It's a necklace of Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec god of warriors and the sun." Natalia explained, and I remember hearing that name before. "You're clearly a warrior, and you seem interested in Central American myths, so I decided to get you a necklace with Huitzilopochtli on it."

After getting the necklace, I was genuinely surprised to see everyone else brought gifts for me as well. I almost refused them, but my father reminded me it's rude to decline gifts, so I accepted them. From Akeno, I got a positive pregnancy test. I started panicking and searching through my memories, but then Akeno told me it was a joke and my real present was actually a book of talismans since Akeno didn't know what to get me. Koneko's was a shirt that had a seashell design on it, which I liked. From Issei, I unsurprisingly got a box of hentai, all of it was 'wholesome' according to him, so I won't be too hard on him. Asia's gift was a rosary, since it was all she could get. It still burned me, but it was a burn I was willing to accept. From Kiba I got a thing called cologne, I never used any because I swam before and after school, making me smell like sea salt 24/7. From Rias, I actually got a pair of enchanted brass knuckles that shoot gusts of wind certain ways depending on how many charges they have, and I replenish charges by punching with them. There's a maximum of three charges, using one charge sends a sideways tornado for an instant, using two charges sends me forwards in an aura of strong winds, while expending three causes a massive tornado for a couple seconds. Finally was my father's gift, which was a Swiss Army knife, it was simple but useful, I loved it.

Once the awkward gift giving was done, my father insisted we take a photo so I could look back at these times. The photo consisted of me standing in the middle while Rias and Asia had my arms around them, Koneko and Akeno sat by my legs, Kiba smiled and waved, and Issei did a ridiculous pose. All while the sunset over the beautifully reflective ocean behind us, painting the sky in reds and yellows. For once in my life, I could feel my lips curve upwards. For once I had people I can call my friends and family, people that actually seemed to care about me. For once in my life I smiled, catching everyone completely off guard, but instead of hiding and apologizing for it, I accepted this, and everyone else accepted it to. Once my father took the photo on his phone, everyone insisted they be sent a copy of the photo because it was the first time any of them had seen me genuinely smile.

Since it was getting late, everyone started leaving, with their clothes from earlier over them. I now had my wetsuit and parka back on. I was about to leave as well, but then I heard a familiar melody, my mother's song coming from the sea. I told my parents to go to the lighthouse without me, I'll meet up with them later as I walked towards the ocean, still holding my stuff. Once everyone else was gone and I was knee deep in the water, I was met with an all-too familiar seal. Nancy.

"Hello brother." Nancy greeted as the seal-like form began to fall apart like a blanket becoming unwrapped around a person's body, revealing a red haired girl that was seven years old. "Happy Birthday."

"Thank you." I thanked my half sister as her selkie's coat came off fully, now looking like a very luxurious fur coat made from a seal's body, but that's just how selkies' coats looked, mine was no different. "What are you doing here?"

"I was ordered to come and retrieve you for my older sister." Nancy informed me as she stood to her full height, which was still significantly smaller than my own. "Since you're the legitimate heir to the throne, she wants to remove you."

"I have no interest in anything connecting me to my mother." I crossed my arms and began walking away with my stuff in my pockets, but I was met with two swords pointed at my neck. "What is this?"

"Queen Lucy's orders." I turned around and noticed a fish-man Knight was talking to me, and Incase you're wondering what he looks like, just imagine a knight with fish. "Come with us and you won't get hurt."

I would have fought them right then and there if this was the old me, but now I have people worrying about me, and I don't want for them to find my corpse the next day. I sighed and agreed to go with them. I put on my parka correctly instead of around my waist before putting the hood up. I kept on walking deeper and deeper into the water. When I was fully submerged, Nancy and I turned into our seal forms. Due to what I've done to my selkie's cost, my seal form was scared and pitch black with (f/c) fur at the edges of the flippers.

I decided to humor Lucy, my other half sister, with this little farce so she and my mother will finally learn I want nothing to do with her throne.I swam deeper and deeper into the water with Nancy and her guard, not that I cared, this should be quick. As we swam, I could hear the guard talking about my companions, and wanting to do unsavory things to them. I ignored them until they called my friends.

"Man, what a bunch of sluts, if I was there, I'd fu-" I didn't let him finish his sentence before I used my jaws to tea out the organs in the man's neck, the other guard was mortified by this, but I just glared at him.

"Speak that way of anyone I hold dear, and you will meet a worse fate." I threatened as the guard I bit began choking on his own blood, while Nancy acted as though nothing happened.

"You've grown quite attached to them, haven't you?" Nancy observed, pointing out the obvious as the knight I bit finally died and we continued swimming. "Willing to kill one of my men just for insulting them."

"Who I am close to is none of your business, nor who you are close to is mine." I answered calmly as the ocean's began getting darker and darker, but my eyes were able to adjust.

"Understood, but I hope you said goodbye to them...today might have been your last day to see them..."

(A/N: Yeah, (Y/N)'s a selkie, kind of underwhelming considering the amount of effort I've put into keeping this a secret. Though I did leave some clues, like his parka was just as durable as him and he kept it on him almost 24/7. Plus he's called a dog by every one who hates him, and seals are effectively doggos of the Sea, so I find that very fitting. The last clue was that his mother's song played every time he got cursed, some sources say selkies' voices are like mermaids, in which they age some form of magic to them. So yeah, (Y/N) only Powers he inherited is the ability to turn into a seal and a slightly magical voice.
