(Your POV)
All of us were currently sitting in ORC, waiting from the Rating Game to start. I was armed to the teeth, with Genbu on my back, brass knuckles in my pocket, my desert eagle hidden under my shirt, two combat knives at my belt, a gun case at my side, a bag full of supplies, and Akeno's familiars were hiding my traps around the forest. The traps consisted of bear traps, nets, caltrops dipped in poison, razor wire, and more. Call me overkill, but I refuse to hand my master to anyone I deem unworthy, and Riser is the most unworthy person I could ever meet.

"Looks like everyone is prepared." Grayfia walked into the ORC clubroom, examining each of us with stern eyes. "The rating game will begin shortly, remember, if Riser win's the marriage arrangement will continue. So if you wish for Rias to be free, then hold nothing back."

I wasn't planning on holding back in the first place, but whatever. I looked around me to see everyone. Akeno was standing at Rias' side, Rias sat at her desk, Issei sat with Asia and I on the couch, Koneko sat across from me with fingerless gloves on her hands, and Kiba was sharpening a sword. I was on my phone, watching videos that Mukuro suggested to get the basic idea of martial arts combined with guns. A magic circle appeared below Grayfia, the magic circle was spinning before a light engulfed her, signaling that she left.

"Okay then, should we go over the plan again?" Rias asked, and we all kind of nodded in agreement. "Koneko and Issei will go through the gym to flank Riser from the left, while Kiba goes through the stadium to flank the right. (Y/N), your job is to cause a ruckus to distract a large amount of Riser's forces. Akeno will supply backup to anyone who needs it, Asia and I will wait here to guard the main base Incase anyone gets injured."

"I won't let you down." I spoke calmly, not wanting to jinx the events. "Don't worry about me, I can survive anything Riser or his peerage throws at me."

I suddenly felt magic energy all around me, signaling the Rating Game has officially begun. I saluted to my master before grabbing the gun case, putting Genbu on my back, sheathing my knives, and grabbing two metal rods that stood beside the door. I looked behind me, at my friends, for one last moment before I walked out of the ORC clubroom to enter my spot in the forest. I walked through the forest, inspecting the caltrops, razor wire, bear traps, and nets scattered around my domain. I sat beside a small river that was flowing through the forest, and was right next to my spot. The area I was assigned was surrounded by thick trees, which I can use for cover. My plan was effectively guerilla warfare, but I will win by any means necessary. I set my equipment down and opened up the gun case, revealing an M1 Garand with a fixed bayonet on top.

I slammed Genbu's bottom into the ground, forcing it to stand on its own while I aimed down the iron sights of the gun. My attention was fixed on one of Riser's pawns, a maid by the looks of it. I didn't care, but I decided to shoot the girl in the leg to ensure she's so useless she'd be kicked out of the game. I took a deep breath in, knowing that once I fired this shot, all hell breaks loose. I readied myself and pulled the trigger

Bullseye.

I landed the bullet in the calf of the pawn, forcing her to the ground and shocking her allies, which was another maid, some chick wearing a mask, some girl in a kimono, two cat girls, a girl with a greatsword, a dancer, and Yuebellena. To get their attention I fired at the one with the greatsword's arm, but she managed to deflect the bullet midair. I could feel my adrenaline pumping, so this was it Huh? The thrill of the fight.

The cat girls, masked girl, dancer, greatsword user, and maid all ran towards me whilst the kimono girl and Yuebellena began charging up magic that resembled flames. I hid behind Genbu and grabbed the anchor that was attracted to the inner part of the shell just as the masked girl threw a punch at me, a punch that I managed to block using the shield. I put the garand on my back using the strap and pulled out a combat knife before using the knife as a conductor for some mist magic. Thick mist surrounded us, and I carefully moved accordingly. When the girls were able to see me, I moved as slow as a snail, but when the mist obscured their vision, I moved as fast as I could on land. I also made sure to control my heart rate to match my speed, this was intended to confuse them about my tempo.

I was behind the maid when she turned around, confident that she could block my attack due to my speed. Unfortunately, she realized I tricked her too late, the moment she realized my trick, was the exact same moment she was met with a fist to the stomach. I quickly jumped back and watched her fall to the ground, the impact shouldn't be enough to kill her, so she should be okay. Next up was the dancer, who was met with a kick to the head. Before I could target anyone else, a strong wind blew through the area, revealing the two collapsed pawns and me standing between them with Genbu ready.

"That's pretty cowardly of a fellow rook piece." The masked girl cracked her knuckles. "Name's Isabella, how about you and I dance? Rook against rook?"

"Forgive me, I promised I would win this rating game." I pulled out my desert eagle after sheathing my combat knife. "So I will win, even if I have to stoop down to the level of a mere rat."

"I respect that, so I guess that means we won't hold back either." Isabella attempted to axe kick me, but she must not know how a gun works, so I shot her in the shoulder.

The kimono girl tried sending a fireball at me, but I blocked the hit before focusing my sights onto her. I was about to pull the trigger, but the girl with the greatsword cut my bullet midair. I decided to shift my focus onto the girl with the sword so I used my shield and punched her in the stomach. I activated the button and shot the anchor outwards with immense force, sending the swordsman into a nearby tree. I pulled on the ethereal chain that now connected the anchor and shield and pulled the anchor back to me with my strength.

I raised the chain above me, causing the anchor to be sent into the air before I slammed downwards, forcing the anchor to fall towards the cat girls. The two split onto either side of the anchor and rushed towards me, with their boxing gloves at the ready. In response to this, I pulled the anchor back towards me with a strong jerk before letting go of the still moving chain and shield. I reached into my pockets and pulled out two brass knuckles, one for each hand. I raised both fists into mirroring forms whilst the two cat girls were pulled towards me by the hook-like parts of the anchor. Both of their stomachs collided with my fists at the same time, and they both fell to the ground.

This left onto the kimono girl and Yuebellena. I put away the brass knuckles and picked up the anchor and shield. I was met with multiple fireballs heading towards me from the kimono girl, I slammed Genbu's shield bottom back onto the ground and fixed the anchor back into place. I took my M1 Garand and waited for the barrage of fireballs to cease. Once they did, I moved my shield aside to fire three bullets at the kimono girl, all of which landed around her limbs.

Before I could shift my sights over to Yuebellena, I was met with a massive orb of fire heading towards me, must be that spell Yuebellena was charging up. I raised my shield above my head and braced for impact, feeling the temperature surround me. An immense amount of force could be felt above me, and I felt like giving in when the flames surrounded me. A massive explosion was occurring above me, forcing me to my knees as I held my shield above my head, but I remember my promise 'I will never falter'. Upon remembering what I'm fighting for, I began to stand through the flames and explosions occurring above me.

"W-What?" Yuebellena was obviously shocked that I survived that, but I did have a couple burns at random parts of my body. "I was supposed to dispose of you quickly, you can't make this harder than it has to be."

"I am (Y/N) (L/N), the ultimate shield and rook of Rias Gremory." I slammed my shield's bottom onto the ground beside me as I stood tall with a determined expression. "No matter what obstacle stands in my way...."

I picked up my shield once more and charged at Yuebellena, who tried sending explosion spell after spell after me, but I was using my boots as a conductor for a water spell. Every step I took was like I was stomping into a puddle, and with this spell, I managed to run along the trees, staying evasive as I did so. Yuebellena tried stepping back, but she stepped on a bear trap, forcing her in place. I jumped into the air with the top part of Genbu downwards towards Yuebellena.

"...I'll crush it with my Herculean strength!"

I slammed my shield just in front of Yuebellena, causing a geyser-like amount of water to come gushing forth like washing a giant spoon. The sudden water and force managed to knock Yuebellena out, as well as wash away any of Riser's other pieces. I bowed in Yuebellena's direction in respect of her and her team's courage, then I picked up all the equipment I may have dropped and ran towards Riser. I wasted too much time on Yuebellena and her allies, Rias and the others should already be there. I ran towards Riser's known position and smelled flames, knowing the fighting is already underway, I sped up.

When I arrived at the edge of the forest, I saw Riser grabbing Issei, who was now clad in red armor for some reason, by the neck and effectively taking him hostage. Riser has a fireball in his other hand, ready to scorch Issei. Seeing this, I could feel my murderous rage control my actions once more. I grabbed the M1 Garand and emptied the magazine into Riser's arm, forcing him to let go of Issei and turn towards me with a scowling expression.

"You're the glorified mut from before!" Riser obviously remembers me, which is a good sign, at least he remembers I smashed the bottle against his head. "Riser was waiting to release his anger on you! You're dead, you dog!"

"I wish you luck killing me." I dropped my M1 Garand and took out my Desert Eagle. "If it means protecting everyone, I'll become immortal."

I nodded at Rias and Akeno, who were standing defensively in front of Asia healing Issei's neck. I quickly fired the handgun at Riser's head, I'm already aware of his healing factor, so I have to do this as calculated as possible. I kept on firing at his head until my magazine was empty. I ran out of bullets and tossed the gun aside as I watched flames cover Riser's face, signaling that he was healing. Since I managed to cut off his line of sight from me, I ran towards Riser and punched him in the stomach with my shield arm. I twisted the strike slightly and forced Riser's body to fall horizontally. Now that he was on the ground, I pulled the trigger, causing the anchor to shoot Riser's body into the ground.

Before he could regenerate, I filled the hole he made with water from a magic circle I summoned onto my palm. The water shot out like a fire hose as I reeled the anchor back to me with my spare hand. Once the hole was filled with water, I could see bubbles, signaling that it was boiling. I dismissed the magic circle from my palm and reached into my bag just as Riser flew out of the hole with flaming wings and a pissed off expression. He was still wet from the water, but he still charged at me. I pulled out a pair of jumper cables from my bag before dodging Riser's tackle by jumping upwards and stomping on top of the devil. I reached for the two metal rods and stabbed one through Riser's stomach. Without a second thought, I connected the red clamp onto the rod before stabbing Riser's shoulder with the other metal rod. With the blac clamp, I clamped the metal rod. From my bag I pulled out a car battery, I connected the jumper cables to the car battery, causing electricity to be seen.

Call me brutal, but my methods were to override his healing factor. I looked at Akeno, Rias, and now a fully healed Issei before giving them a thumbs up. The second part of my plan was for Akeno and Rias to charge up their magic attacks while Issei boosted his power, and now that Riser's healing factor was distracted, now was the time to strike. However, I was cautious, so I pulled out a Molotov cocktail from my bag and ignited it before placing it on Riser's back before I walked away calmly. Unfortunately, Riser grabbed onto my legs and caused me to trip.

"(Y/N)!" Rias shouted with worry, but I didn't care, afterall, this guy wants to test my strength.

"Do it!" I shouted, this was the first time I gave orders to my master, and honestly, I'm not a fan of giving orders. "Riser wants to test my defense against his healing, so let's give him what he wants!"

In response to this, Rias hesitated but still sent forth a massive red orb headed to Riser. As for Akeno, she wore a sadistic smile and didn't even hesitate as she sent bolts of lighting towards Riser. I knew I wouldn't take the full force, but I would still take splash damage at least. I could have used Genbu to block the force, but Riser wishes to take me down with him, so I'll humor him. Before the magic could hit either of us, Riser used his grip on me to set me aflame, but I didn't waver, I just stood up and kicked Riser's head with my steel toed boots.

The magic hit Riser dead on, but it also hit me as well. I crossed my arms and stood through all of it, every flame, lightning bolt, and whatever Rias uses, I stood tall through it all. Riser on the other hand wasn't healing anymore, signaling that his healing factor was at its limit. Through the entire attack, I never wavered until the magic finally dispersed, revealing a horrible injured Riser with two metal rods sticking out of his body. Unfortunately for me, the car battery was destroyed, so I guess I can't give this back to the mechanic I borrowed it from.

"The winner of this rating game is..." The announcer, who sounded like Sona, took their sweet time releasing the results for us to hear. "Rias Gremory and her peerage!"

"(Y/N), are you alright?!" Rias asked as she examined my body, and sure my shirt and pants are in taters, but my parka is still 100% alright! "Oh who am I kidding? Of course not, you're bleeding!"

"At this point it's obvious (Y/N) just won't die from anything other than old age." Issei commented in a deadpan manner, so I guess that means I'll have a long life.

"Here, let me heal you." Asia offered, and I was more than happy to accept her help, so she began healing me. "You're quite strong (Y/N), being able to take all of that and still stand."

"Well done." A man with long red hair suddenly appeared before me, and he kind of reminded me of Rias. "I am Zeoticus, Rias' father, and consider me impressed, (Y/N), Red Dragon Emperor. Issei managed to hold his own against a high-level devil while (Y/N) was able to survive much more than anything Riser was able to throw at him. Therefore, I think rewards are in order."

"I want a harem of girls with big boobs!" Issei requested, causing Zeoticus to flinch a bit from disgust.

"Is there any chance you can make my lighthouse not blow away every typhoon?" I asked, I didn't want much, since I already had someone to follow and that's all I need.

"For (Y/N), consider your lighthouse as durable as the best fortress in the world." Zeoticus snapped his fingers, doing nothing but I assume that's a signal for something. "As for Issei, I can't give you a harem, but I can give you a peerage."

"Sweet, (Y/N), Asia, wanna join my peerage?" Issei accepted his gift almost right away. "By the way, we're still gonna be in ORC no matter what happens."

"I'm in." I accepted Issei's offer, causing Rias to look more offended. "Don't worry Lady Rias, I will still protect you, but someone as grand as yourself will come across more pieces in the future."

"Fine..." Rias sighed before accepting the fact I was going to join Issei's peerage. "But can I ask why you're joining Issei?"

"Bro code."

"Hell yeah."

(A/N: Quick question, do you guys like it when big reveals are light hearted but serious or 100% serious all the way through. I want opinions because this is my most successful book and I don't wanna mess this up by writing a certain character a certain way. I'm thinking about highlighting some of (Y/N) past next chapter, along with the lighthouse's redesign, so give me opinions. By the way, yes I am aware I updated this within five days alongside 3 other books, and yes I am proud of that.
