The alarm goes off at half six. The sky is sunny and the air is warm. A perfect contrast to Adrien's mood.

He rolls out of bed and trudges over to the bathroom, to begin his shower. He drags himself through his routine. Wake up, shower, get dressed, eat breakfast and go to school.

Adrien didn't get much sleep last night. He had returned from patrol at half eleven last night. He had been so angry with Ladybug. Nothing that Plagg said could calm him down. He never would have thought that she would defend Spider-Man.

Eventually, after a lot of ranting, he got changed into his pyjamas and went to bed. But then he remembered what he had said. He had called her stupid for doing what she believed was right!

"What she thought was right was wrong, obviously. And she insulted me, too!" Adrien is still whispering to Plagg in the back of the limo.

"I just asked for some camembert, Adrien. We can talk about your love life later." whines Plagg.

The limo comes to a stop outside of the school. Adrien makes sure that Plagg is in his bag before stepping out and plastering a model smile on his face. He closes the door and walks up to the building.

It is going to be a long day.

The bell rings and all the students take their seats.

"Hey, Marinette." Nino says, turning around in his seat, "Your early today. Congrats!"

Marinette looks up from her desk to see Nino. She forces herself to laugh and says, "Thanks, Nino. Hey, have you seen Alya? It's not like her to be late."

"No, I think she's sick. Sorry, dudette." Nino replies, before turning to face the front desk.

And Marinette's mood just got worse. First, she gets into a fight with Chat Noir, where he called her stupid and she said she didn't know why anyone would want to be friends with him. Then, she stayed up almost all night thinking about it. And now her best friend is sick, so she won't be in school to cheer her up.

Granted, Marinette wouldn't be able to tell her the whole truth about what's wrong, but some things she just needs her BFF for. And she has talked with Tikki, but it didn't help. All she wants to do is go home, but sadly, 'After making sure that Paris is safe, I spoke with Spider-Man before I got into a massive fight with Chat Noir and now I don't know what to do!' Doesn't seem like a valid excuse.

Miss Bustier walks in with a tall boy with dark hair following behind her.

"Good morning, class!" Miss Bustier says, cheerfully.

"Good morning, Miss." the class chorus'.

"Today we have a new student. Peter Parker. Tell us something about you, Peter." she encourages.

"Umm, well, I'm Peter. I'm from Queens and I love science." Peter introduces himself.

"Do all Americans have such terrible taste in fashion?" Chloe remarks, nastily.

"Leave him alone, Chloe." Adrien snaps before Marinette can even get a word out.

Adrien's harsh tone leaves the class speechless. A minute of slightly awkward silence follows.

"How about you go and sit beside Marinette, today. Alya seems to be sick. Marinette is the class president, so she will show you around later." Miss Bustier announces.

She goes behind her desk and begins the role call. Peter goes and sits beside Marinette.

"Hey, again." he whispers.

"Hey." she whispers back.

The class drones on. After two hours comes break. Marinette is currently showing Peter around the school.

"So this is the science lab. Miss Mendeleive teaches here." says Marinette.

"What does she teach?" asks Peter.

"Physics, science and maths." she answers.

"So I'll see her a lot. Is she nice?" he asks.

Marinette considers her answer before saying, "She's strict."

They tour through the whole school before they arrive at the next class.

"Would you like to come to my house, for lunch?" Marinette asks Peter.

"I would love to." he replies.

Although his mission last night didn't go well, Peter's mission today seemed to be going okay. He is becoming friends with Marinette.

The lunch bell rings and everyone leaves class. Marinette and Peter meet up outside of the school and begin to walk to the bakery.

  "So how's your first day going?" Marinette inquires.

"Good. I actually learnt a lot..." Peter explains his day, as they walk to the bakery.

   "Mama! Papa! I'm home for lunch!" calls Marinette, as they walk through the door.

"Marinette." greets Sabine, with flour dusting her apron, "Your father is making a deliver. Who's your new friend?"

"Peter Parker. Nice to meet you, ma'am." he greets.

"Please, call me Sabine. Why don't you two take some treats from the bakery? Just make sure to be back to school on time." Sabine says.

"Okay, Mama." replies Marinette.

   She grabs some treats from the bakery and brings Peter up to her room. She brings a spare chair over to her desk and they begin to eat the food. Their comfortable silence is shortly interrupted.

  "Hey, Marinette, are you okay?" Peter inquires.

"What do you mean?" she asks.

"I don't know. You just seem like you're in a bad mood, today." he explains, simply.

"Oh, it's nothing. I'm fine." she says, and looks away.

"Come on, Marinette. It's okay. You can tell me." Peter encourages, gently.

  Marinette sighs and plays with her hands, "I got into a fight with a friend. We both said some really nasty things, and now I can't decide if I should be angry or upset! We've never had a fight before."

"Oh, Marinette." he says, sympathetically, "I'm sure that things will turn out okay. What were you fighting about?"

  Marinette looks up from her hands and says, "I didn't agree with how he was acting, so I told him that. Then he got angry and we started to argue."

"Maybe you two just need to talk." Peter suggests, "Come on. Let's get to class."

      And with that, they tidy up and leave the room. They say goodbye to Sabine and head back to school.

- On The SHIELD Helicarrier

Tony and Nick have been going over the footage of Peter with Marinette.

  "At least he's making progress with Marinette." says Tony.

"It would be even better if he could get her to talk about Ladybug and Chat Noir." comments Nick.

"Just give him time. We need her to think that he just wants to be her friend." explains Tony.

"And you're sure that this plan of your's is going to work?" Nick questions.

"Of course I am." Tony assures him, confidently.

- At The Agreste Mansion

"School, fencing, Chinese and piano! I think I need a nap. One with a lot of camembert!" Plagg comments, as Adrien finishes his homework.

"We still have to patrol tonight, Plagg." Adrien reminds him.

    Adrien is so not looking forward to patrol. He thinks that Ladybug must hate him for what he said. He doesn't regret what he said about Spider-Man, but he does feel horrible about offending her. And he's still angry - not to mention extremely upset - about what she said to him. And, that she didn't believe him!

     Plagg notices the look on his face and says, gently, "Look, Adrien. If you don't feel like patrolling tonight, then you don't have to. Just let her know."

  Adrien considers this for a moment before deciding.

  "No," he says, "I have to go. It's my job. Besides, I have to see if she's still as mad as she was last night. We can't fight to save Paris together if we are hating each other."

    And with that, he transforms into Chat Noir and heads towards the roof of the old sweet shop to meet Ladybug.
