40th Chapter Special
Without further ado, here are my favourite books.
The Leviathan Series-Scott Westerfeld
Let's start this off with my favourite. It's an alternate universe WWI where instead of Central against Allies it's Clankers against Darwinists. The countries are the same and events and stuff but England has fabricated animals as weapons and Germany has giant walking machines. It's kinda steampunk and really epic. It also has Nikola Tesla in the third one which is amaxing.
The UGLIES series-scott Westerfeld
Uglies was my first step into Scott Westerfeld's prose. I highly recommend him. Just don't read his earlier adult fiction. *cough* hardcore porn* cough.
UGLIES is about a world 300 years in the future where everybody gets plastic surgery when they turn 16 so that they look perfect. Everybody's equal now. Right? Wrong.
There's also a manga.
Peeps/The last days-Scott Westerfeld
Best vampire novels you will ever get your hands on. Scotty adds this sciencey side to vampirism that Stephanie Meyer never did. And the prose is amazing. The second one is about a band and doesn't have as much vampire hunting but it's good in its own way.
The midnighters trilogy-scott Westerfeld
It's been a while since I read it, but that series killed me. Scott Westerfeld is the king of endings. Just saying.
Afterworlds-scott Westerfeld
I only recommend this to writers because it's about a writer going through the process of publishing a YA novel. The story alternates between her life and the story she wrote.
The maze runner-James Dashner
One of my fave series. Newt is my favourite character. I love him to death. Wait....
The Eye Of Minds-James Dashner
I don't think the third book is out yet but the first two are amazing. It's a must read for SAO fans. I liked it and I'm not even a video game fan.
The forest of hands and teeth series- Carrie Ryan
You probably didn't notice, but my hetalia zombie apocalypse story's title is based off the third book's title, the dark and hollow places. It's a really amazing zombie book full of plot twists.
The first book isn't as close to the other two though.
Divergent series-Veronica Roth
Need I say more.
My aptitude is for Amity. I could totally roll with that.
The ascendance trilogy-Jennifer a Nielson
I haven't read the third one yet but it's probably out. I'm not one for medieval stories but this one rocked my world. Giant plot twist and if you read it you have to do it twice to catch on to all the foreshadowing.
The series of unfortunate events-lemony snicket
The ending tho.....
Blood red road series-Moira young.
The author was born in Canada so everything's spelled right. Yay. It's an intense story but the whole thing is written in some hick accent. Sigh.
Sherlock Holmes-Arthur Conan Doyle
Yeah, I read them. I'm that genius.
The Scorpio races-Maggie steifvater
Celtic. So Celtic. I love it.
The raven boys-Maggie Steifvater
Plot. Twist.
Polymorph-scott Westerfeld
Okay, this is a hardcore porno. Totally. But the plot is amazing and it has a great view on gender. One thing I didn't mention about Scottie is that his female characters are amazing. The main character in this one shapeshifts and her gender and race depends on how she feels. She also doesn't have a name. Great plot device.
Stupid, perfect world-Scott Westerfeld
This is a novella and it's really deep. Just read it.
Maximum ride series-James Patterson
I gained my obsession with wings through this story.
Daniel x series-James Patterson
The manga is better. I literally saw sherlock and Watson in it. There's no denying it. It looks exactly like them. And then I saw this lady who was dressed like he doctor and there was this other doctor, who had a screwdriver in her "medical kit" she turned out to be a gardener tho....also creatures a lot like the silence. It's just one big wholock thing.
So yesterday- scott Westerfeld
I forgot the ending. It's a pretty light mystery involving fashion trends and stuff. I haven't read it since the end of ninth grade so....
Harry Potter-JK Rowling
Did you think I'd forgotten?
Not a chance.
Pluto's ghost-Sheree Fitch
I usually don't like realistic fiction. But this is great. Mostly Cuz it's my mentor's work. I wouldn't have read it otherwise. Yeah, my mentor is the great Sheree Fitch. You didn't know?
Haunted Canada and Steve Vernon books
Nova Scotians and ghost stories.....what is it with us?
Manga:
Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler)
Death Note
Shingeki no kyojin (Attack on Titan)
Shay's Story (uglies)
Daniel X
I have Naruto but haven't gotten to it. Same with Full Metal Alchemist. I am also looking for Hetalia but can't find a download. If anybody knows can you tell me.
And I like Ellen Degeneres's books but doesn't everybody?
