Y/n Shiba stirred from unconsciousness, his body heavy and his mind clouded in a thick fog.

What really happened to me? That's the true question. I just felt a bit as if I was ill for some reason...but why?

Y/n opened his eyes to find himself in a room. The room he found himself in was dimly lit, with the only source of light coming from a small lantern on the wooden floor. The scent of incense filled the air, and the faint hum of spiritual pressure buzzed around him. As his senses gradually sharpened, a jolt of pain shot through his chest. Groaning, he pushed himself upright, wincing as the ache spread across his body.

Urahara: Easy there Shiba.

Y/n blinked as he looked to see Urahara walking towards him. He fanned himself lazily, though his eyes were sharp as they observed Kaede's struggle.

Y/n: Where..?

Y/n realised what happened. He remembered how he was fighting Renji but then he somehow lost control and passed out.

Urahara: You are in my shop, you took a beating from some of the soul reaper's finest didn't you?

Y/n remembers Ichigo and Uryu as he was about to get up but just gasps in pain as he was bandaged quite a lot

Urahara: I don't know what happened to you, but there was a lot of cuts and wounds on you

Y/n: What of Ichigo and Uryu? What happened to them?

Urahara fanned himself before looking at Y/n

Urahara: Ichigo is fine, Uryu wasn't too injured so he just went home....he also said one thing to me

Y/n: What was it?

Urahara looked at Y/n. His eyes covered by his hat

Urahara: He believed that you and Ichigo could be the ones to get Rukia back

Y/n's memories begun to flood back to him as he reminded himself about Rukia

Y/n: Is she okay...!

Urahara looks down

Urahara: She got taken back to the soul society for his execution

Y/n's heart sunk

I failed.

He couldn't even protect Rukia, let alone match the strength of Renji and even control himself. The weight of his powerlessness hit him like a ton of bricks, crushing his chest with frustration and anger.

Y/n: I wasn't strong enough. I wasn't strong enough to control my own emotions

Y/n looked down into his hands with sadness. That was the place where he was holding his bow and arrow

Y/n: I couldn't stop them. I lost control.

Urahara tilted his head looking at Y/n with some curiosity

Urahara: What do you mean?

Y/n looked at his hands again before looking back up at Urahara

Y/n: When I was losing...I started to fell unstoppable. Powerful. I think my rage must have consumed me

Urahara looks at Y/n

Urahara: You are a pure blooded Quincy...right?

Y/n: I don't even know. I don't even have a cross like what Ishida has, so I don't really know if I do.

Y/n grits his teeth as he looks up at Urahara

Y/n: What can I do?! What can I do to get stronger and try and help get Rukia back!

Urahara didn't say anything for a bit as Y/n was still distraught

Y/n: What should I do!!!

Urahara kneels down beside him and puts his hand on his shoulder.

Urahara: Strength isn't just about raw power, Y/n. It's about understanding your weaknesses and finding balance in the chaos within you.

Y/n: But how do I do that? How can I understand all of that and try and find balance!

Urahara chuckles before then standing up and beginning to walk away

Urahara: That's something only you can figure out. No one can hand you the answer. You need to go out and discover it for yourself

Y/n wanted to protest, to demand a more concrete solution, but he knew Urahara wasn't the type to give direct answers. He swallowed his frustration, feeling the sting of failure weigh heavily on him. He needed to find the strength to balance himself —and fast—but he wasn't sure where to begin.

Timeskip brought by Y/n figuring out his powers

It was the next day since Y/n had fought for his life and almost died. His powers were out of control for some reason and begun to feel a bit ill. Y/n made his way into school as he sat down in his corner and watched everyone

Everyone has forgotten about Rukia...it was almost as if she never existed

Y/n kept on coughing over and over again as he was still feeling the effects of what happened. Y/n turned to see Ichigo talking to Keigo, Chad, Orihime and Tatsuki about some vacation

Keigo: You guys don't want to come!?!

Y/n just watched in boredom as he didn't really want to get close with them. Not until he is stronger.

I can't.

It was the end of the school day and Y/n was walking outside and still coughing

I thought this would die down if I had some medicine, but I don't think it will go away

Y/n was taking the scenic route back home as he was still trying to understand what Urahara was talking about.

The Quincy power is strong alright, but the more and more I tap into it the more I begin to lose control more and more

Y/n begin to feel his spiritual pressure fluctuating over and over again. He tries to suppress the energy that he is feeling and trying to keep them separate...or maybe that's the problem.

I've been fighting against it...  I'm trying to control them separately when I should be making them work together.

Y/n realises it and begins to run towards Urahara's shop as he already sees Urahara waiting for him

Urahara: Looks like you have figured something out huh? Mr Shiba?

Y/n: I need to stop trying to separate them, and put them together.

Urahara smiles as he nods in approval

Urahara: Understanding and Mastering are two different things. You might find help somewhere else.

Y/n thinks about Uryu

Y/n: But where would I find him.

Y/n can hear the sound of a cat as he turns around to see a cat just looking at him

Urahara: That is Mr, Yoruichi-San! He will lead to you to where Uryu is

Yoruichi: So this is the Quincy boy you were on about Urahara

Urahara nods

Y/n: That car spoke? That doesn't seem calculated.

Yoruichi: I'll lead you to Uryu Y/n Shiba.

Yoruichi starts to walk as Y/n follows along with him until they eventually make it to a waterfall.

Uryu: Y/n? How were you able to find me?

Y/n: I asked Mr Yoruichi to help me locate you. Now what have you been doing over here?

Uryu: I-ve been-

Yoruichi: You have been training haven't you?

Uryu immediately looks around

Uryu: Who's there?!

Y/n: That cat Uryu. It can talk.

Uryu: EHHH!? The cat can talk!!

Uryu: I'm sorry. What do you want from me?

Y/n: Me and Ichigo are going to the soul society. Rukia's life is in danger and I need your help

Uryu fixes his glasses

Uryu: You are a Quincy. How can you have such ties with a soul reaper

Y/n: Feels like second nature, and Rukia is a classmate and a friend.

Uryu looks at Y/n who was looking up to the sky

Y/n: I would want to help out people and protect them. I think that's what my mother and father would want me to do.

Uryu looks at Y/n and can kind of see his old Sensei in him

Uryu: So naive. You really think you are strong enough

Yoruichi: That is why he is here

Y/n: Do you have any of those arrows?

Y/n points at Uryu's hand

Uryu: A Quincy arrow? Do you not have one?

Y/n shakes his head absolutely shocking Uryu

Uryu: So how have you been able to create your spiritual weapon?

Y/n: I have no clue...I just have been able to

Yoruichi had realised that Y/n is quite different compared to Uryu. Potential wise....and genetic wise..

Uryu: I mean I do have one...

Uryu goes into a box as he looks towards Y/n

Uryu: Someone I knew gave it to me. I don't know why, but I think that you can use this.

Y/n looks at Uryu as he shows him the necklace

Y/n: It's a bit different to yours...how do I work it?

Uryu: All you have to do is pour your spiritual pressure into it and it will form the bow.

Y/n nods as he starts to put all of his spiritual pressure into the cross as it disappears

Yoruichi: Why don't you give it a shot Y/n

Y/n pulls back as he creates an arrow before then letting it fire. It then lights on fire and starts to go through trees burning them

Uryu: Eh!? His power is a lot more compared to his old bow!

Yoruichi smiles

Yoruichi: You truly do have potential Y/n Shiba. I'll train you up before training Chad and Orihime.

Timeskip brought by Y/n getting trained by Yoruichi and getting his ass beat

Urahara: Lesson 3! This has no time limit at all, all you need to do....is beat Y/n in a fight!

Y/n: Eh!? I have to fight Ichigo? You didn't tell me that?

Urahara: While Yoruichi is away training those two, you will be with us

Ichigo: I hope you are prepared Y/n

Y/n: Oh I am-

Ichigo was literally about to slash Y/n if he hasn't been a few inches away

Y/n: So that's how it is.

Y/n smirks as Ichigo tries to go for him again but

Y/n is able to quickly dodge Ichigo surprising Ichigo and Urahara

Ichigo: Eh?

Y/n: I learnt things training with Yoruichi.

Y/n does a spin kick as he kicks Ichigo back before firing a fire blast right at Ichigo which he slashes in half

Ichigo: You are not the only one learning new things!
